I really like this place!  The coffee is delicious and wonderfully brewed.  Plus they have great teas for your enjoyment too.

Mamma Llamas is also an eatery.  They feature wonderful sandwiches as well as cakes, snacks, turnovers and cookies. All are yummy! They serve beer and wine too.

One of the best things about Mamma Llamas is  the shows that are booked here.  Open Mic is always a blast!  The owners are willing to book local talent as well as some from as far away as Seattle and L.A.

A  fun place to visit if you are tourist in Weaverville or a local!

Went there last weekend to see our fav celtic rock band Brother.  What an awesome show and Steve and family put on a great gig.  Next morning, hangover in hand, had a breakfast there that burned off the hangover!  Wow!!!  GREAT PLACE!!!

Weaverville is a i quiet, quaint little town that is without a street signal. That's just a polite way of saying, there isn't much there. One of the few things that is there is a great little coffeehouse located on Main Street. I swear this is one of the new places other than Disneyland where the MainStreet is still literally the main street.

There aren't a lot of options on the top of a mountain but this is an option that I am glad that was available. The coffee is great. I'm a big fan of the salted carmel hot chocolate, you might have to ask really nicely to get it because I think it's a special during the winter but don't quote me on that and just ask nicely because, well you should be polite.

The Llama is a great place for a breakfast bite but they also offer some really tasty sandwiches for lunch as well as homemade soups of the day. I sweat Dumb and Dumber have ruined the whole concept of the soup du jour for me.

"Excuse me, Flo? What's the soup du jour?"
It's the soup of the day.
"Mmm that sounds good I think I'll have that."

This seriously might be the last place to get a hot drink in the winter or a cold drink during the warm summer months and a bite to eat before you get lost in the forest.

So do yourself a favor and if you ever find yourself in Weaverville stop in for a spell. Enjoy a beverage, check out the cooky stuff they are selling and enjoy a bite to eat.

They also have live music, so in a town with little to do, it's something to do and they performers are better than you'd expect in a sleepy little town on the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere.

Tasty coffee and good food/snacks. I was also able to look at some great last minute presents for people while i ate. This place offered the whole package and they were kid friendly as well.

When it comes to coffee or really anything in Weaverville the options are usually limited. That being said, this is it when it comes to a hot beverage. There is a Starbucks in the local grocery store but when you come to a town like this you need to enjoy the vibe of the town and the Llama delivers that. When you're in a small town you gotta say no to the corporation and yes to the mom and pop shop.

Stop in for a cup of something hot for the winter or cool for the summer, they will do you right. Grab a bite to eat and then meander around the store looking at all the weird and wacky stuff. T-shirts, cds little gifts and knickknacks. Or take a seat at one of the couches. I'm pretty sure all of the seating is pre-1970's.

Check out one of their concerts. I was totally amazed when I heard that artists I have actually heard of have played there.

I love this place. The staff is friendly and the coffee and food are quality.
Free wifi and a great atmosphere make Mamma Llama my top choice for a coffee shop/cafe in Weaverville.  My favorite food item is the Lox Bagel Special.

Wonderful variety of coffees and teas and beautifully brewed, I might add....I've been drinking coffee longer than both Ruben and Evan have been alive - I know a good cup of java and it's here at the Llama.

I also enjoy a tea latte once in awhile - and it's beautifully done.

Love the chocolate cake - I highly recommend you say "yes" to the whipped cream.

Great place for conversation - talk to the locals and you'll discover the best hiking trail, fav swimming hole, best fishing spot - or a great debate about Superman vs Batman, Green Hornet vs Spiderman - or the lyrics to Super Chicken.  They are all available at the Llama.

Wi-Fi abounds along with vintage couches for you to sink into while surfing.

Excellent coffee, Excellent food, Friendly folks, Kitchy atmosphere!  This place is great.  I can't go there without getting their caprese sandwich.  So fresh and delicious.  They have fun novelty items everywhere, a great selection of music, and their shop is instrumental in bringing great musicians to the area.  This is definitely a great place to stop if you're passing through town.

Awesome coffee house that rivals many a city coffee house.  Lots of good coffees and Tazo teas and a large, dizzying selection of flavor syrups for coffees and Italian sodas.

Cute section of entertaining nick knacks, and a section of hard to find/not necessarily mainstream CD's and books.

They support local causes, such as when the wildfires nearby threatened the town they participated in the fundraiser for the volunteer fire crew.

Another great thing: the events calendar.  Since they are housed in a very large space they have room for hosting live music nights.  These are usually little-known but well-followed musicians and groups that are eclectic and making new niches in the music world.

I haven't been able to make it to any of their shows yet but after reading about some of their recent shows, there are some musicians I really wished I would have seen.

A nice hippy coffee house. It's got couches, a good selection of tea's and food. It's great for Weaverville.

The coffee isn't the best, an inexperienced barrista left the espresso a bit over extracted. That said, it's drinkable. Which is a lot more than can be said for most places in the area.

Very friendly staff & overall very friendly people. I was there today & the choir from a local church was singing in the coffeeshop. It totally reminded me of visiting grandma's house as a kid. The staff was totally cool .... I spilled my coffee outside by accident & they let me refill for free. the coffee is local & high-quality (I got drip regular coffee). The town is frozen in time about 100 to 150 years ago. I loved it. It was Sunday & almost all of the shops were closed. This is an old-fashioned, Christian community.

I really liked this place.  Although I was only in there for 10 minutes, it was 10 minutes that I wouldn't mind re-living over and over.

My mom and I were heading down the hill from Coffee Creek Dude Ranch, and we stopped here to grab a bite.  It is a very cool, rather funky space with lots of good-looking grub.  I ordered a wrap with turkey, pesto and veggies.  (After a week of Dude Ranch food, I was desperate for some fresh veg!)  The sandwich was really good, but, if I ordered it again, I would probably get hummus instead of pesto.  As I waited for our food, I tried one of those Aussie cookies that come in a giant tub at Costco.  (I see them there all the time, but never want to buy a whole thing, so it was nice to spend 60 cents and only have 1.)  Yummy!   Plus, they were playing Portishead on the speakers, I'm always in favor of that.

If I lived anywhere near here, I think I'd be a regular here, one of those people that they have to kick out when they close the joint.

Easy to miss place with a great atmosphere inside.  This is a must stop when driving through Weaverville.  I love that they have real music CDs, and listing stations to boot.  The coffee is good but it depends on the barista.  I had a latte that wasn't to go home about.  Keep it up and work on the espresso.

This is a quirky local spot serving up tasty, high quality food and beverages.  The woman working there served up a perfectly toasted sesame bagel and medium Earl Grey tea for $4.  It was the perfect beginning to my day.  The coffeehouse is much more than just that, offering music, both live and recorded, neat little gifts, free wifi and a long list of breakfast and lunch options.  Plenty of seating at tables or in comfy chairs.  They have an amazing array of tea - shelves full of Republic of Tea and Tazo.

I stumbled upon Mamma Llama while on my way back from an amazing road trip.  We drove up the coast from San Francisco all the way up to mid-state Oregon then a sharp right and back down through the pikes, peaks and valleys inland!  After driving for several hours we started seeing signs for Weaverville.  Don't think I'd ever heard of the place but was hoping for a road side gas station to make a "pit stop".  We found a gold mine... the Mamma Llama coffee house!!!!  Yay, a real latte!  Who woulda thunk it?  Living in the Bay Area food and excellent coffee are within a matter of blocks so when traveling in the car for long distances it becomes somewhat of a challenge.  Especially in remote areas, generally speaking.  I would recommend anyone and EVERYONE make a special trip to this gem simply for the experience alone.  The staff is AMAZING, friendly, happy and just plain fun!  They carry local and faraway gifts as well as whole bean coffee by the pound.

Get your tuchis to the Mamma Llama and put a little happy in to your day along with a great cuppa joe =)

We found Mamma Llama while we were visiting family in Hayfork. This is a really cool coffeehouse, with a fun hippy ambiance, in a cool old building. The antique wooden bar was really pretty, made you feel like you were back in the old west -- at a coffeehouse. :)

I had the best Mexican Iced Mocha I've ever had! Yum! Awesome to cool down with on a hot day. And the staff and locals are really friendly.

They also have a great selection of music and fun souveniers. We bought a Big Foot action figure and a great Mamma Llama logo travel mug. Its my favorite and I use it all the time now.

When we head up to Weaverville again, we'll definitely drop in again!
