10 reviews for Mama's Pizza
The pizza is pretty much the best pizza around. I've been going to the original one since I was super young.
One time my brother played happy birthday on his cornet for my grandma there when I was like 9. Crazy right? We used to get pretty nuts back when we lived in Watauga. But I digress.
If you can ever get one of the teenage girls working at the counter to stop text messaging and take your order, you will not be disappointed. We always get a hamburger pizza with creamy italian dressing for the crust. I eat here at least a couple of times a month.
Mama's is great for lunch! Their pizza buffet, salad bar, and a drink will only run you about $7. Not bad.
I think the pizza is good, but when you compare this place to something like Nizza Pizza, it just doesn't compare.
The staff has always been polite and friendly.
Very cheesy and buttery pizza. Sauce is almost non-existent. Almost more like cheese bread than pizza. Not bad, but not my idea of pizza.
An Arlington Classic, the best pizza.
I don't like thick crusted pizza, but they have the best hot or cold left over from the night before it's all good.. and the service is good as will.
Mama's kick Domino's in the butt!
Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Their weekday lunch buffet is a major bargain. Just pizza and a limited salad bar. But it's all about the pizza.
The crust is rubbed with garlic butter, so it's like eating breadsticks.
A very unique pizza. Pricey, but worth it. I've been eating Mama's Pizza since the 80's back at some of their Fort Worth, TX locations.
You won't be disappointed.
Best pizza in Arlington and possibly in Fort Worth too.
Great alternative to the "other" pizza buffet in town; however, there are only four pizzas and limited salad. The pizzas are always fresh and readily replaced, as the pies last only a few minutes before being gobbled up by happy customers. (There seem to be five toppings in rotation at varying amounts per pizza, and there are always four pizzas on the bar.) Pricing wasn't bad at $6.50 a head, sans drink, for the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. Atmosphere is true to the home-grown-pizza-joint persona.
This Arlington classic was once located near UTA. Your basic classic American thick crust pizza. Make sure you try the Italian Salad which is piled high with shredded mozarella and pepperoni.
This review is partly for my brother, who only comes back into Arlington maybe 3 times a year. As a child, he was a Mama's Pizza fanatic, and then they moved away. When they returned about 5 years ago, he has never thought twice about ordering it at least once while in town. The pizza is your basic mom-and-pop hand rolled thick crusted pizza. It's a very well done pie, with a heaping mound of cheese and crust that can really support it. A bit too oily for my taste because of the overwhelming amount of cheese, but nothing disappointing. Because I went to high school not even 5 minutes from this location, the $7-even lunch buffet is a real treat. I once went with about 15 friends for lunch, and they were constantly out of pizza for the next 30 minutes. The buffet offers their fresh pizzas with a variety of about 5 different pies at a time. Truly a pizza place you must visit while in Arlington seeing as there are no other really good joints around.
