My husband and I visited this location for the first time on Sunday afternoon. The green salsa was tasty, but the chips were cold and a bit stale. I also had a good and strong mamacita margarita. We ordered beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas; the beef and chicken were very tender. The shrimp, however, tasted a bit funny and later, my husband ended up with a very bad stomach ache. I skipped the shrimp and was fine. The waiter also seemed to forget about us a couple of times, and we ran out of drinks twice. Mamacita's also had a number of technical difficulties that day, their cable was out and we were not able to watch any sports. Also the credit card machine went down so we waited a for it to come back online (we could have written a check, but the tv came on by then so we waited).
Overall Mamacita's was a good eating experience, the food was good authentic Tex-Mex. They make their own tortillas, verde sauce was good and the beef and chicken were tender. Just keep an eye out for the disappearing waiter, and skip the shrimp.
One of the best and authentic Mexican food restaurant in the area. The salsa, and fresh ingredients used to create these dishes is what makes this place stand out.
The hospitality and customer service was excellent. Not to mention great margaritas and Mexican beers.
I suggest trying this place at least once when you are in the area. You owe it to your taste buds!
I work in Deer Park. I know, I know, land of a million stinks, the heart of cancer alley. In fact I work right across the street from Shell.
Anyhow, from time to time we have Margarita lunch at Mamacitas. I like Mamacitas. Particularly I love their tortilla soup. They serve it with lots of yummy guacamole and pico de gallo. It has jalepenos that make me sweat like a preacher in a whorehouse. The only thing to cool that fire is a delicous mamacita Margarita.
If you are in the area I recommend this joint for lunch, but if you are in only in the area for a short time I would recommend Utter Place for the best hamburger's in Houston. I will write that review next.

1 star= managers of this restaurant are very active in area Little League, coaching and sponsoring a team every year
What else do I need to say??
This location is GREAT! I stopped in here last week for an early dinner and I must say I was very happy. I visit the location in Webster on Nasa Rd 1 frequently and this one really out does the other location in my opinion. Excellent Salsa, Enchiladas were amazing. I could not have asked for a better meal.
