Surprised they're not open New Year's Eve. Looks like no sign or other info to warn the public

Always meant to go here, but never followed through until last night when my bestie Kim invited me to hear a Journey tribute by the band Resurrection. I'd never heard of them, but... Journey, right? I'm a metalhead primarily, but enjoy quite a few other types. Not a huge fan of country unless it's funny, but that's another story. I checked out the hours on Yelp, naturally, because where else, and noticed there hadn't been a review since around 2015. I'm about to rectify that...
It's only getting 4 stars due to parking. It's not marked and you guess that all the cars directly across the street are PROBABLY where you should go... and once you get inside, and sign tells you that it IS correct.
Confusing. Would you be towed? I have a handicap tag and I parked in front of the building to the right of them next to two very large pickup trucks. Wasn't towed, no ticket. Thank God. Fluke? Lucky? Don't know...
When we went up the weird little steps... not exactly handicap accessible... it's a fairly dark crowded place with a wide aisle separating tables from the check-in area, a small serving area, the long bar, more tables the stage, and access to the upstairs seating area. The lady that checked us in verified Kim's name in a book even though she ordered her tickets through some app... didn't even need to scan the QR code! We were given our little bracelets and went to find a table... hopefully... as it fills up FAST there! However, as soon as we got the bracelet on, we were headed past two young ladies who gave us FREE PASSES TO NEXT WEEK'S GUNS 'N ROSES TRIBUTE! Yep! Have bracelets to get into that for free, thanks to Jadan Geren and Rachel Dame. Thanks, dolls! We will try to make it!
Thankfully, a sweet married couple by the names of Shannon and Brandon had a couple of free chairs at their table, so we had a place to sit, and it was close to both bar and stage. A pole was kind of in the way, but... sitting. Table. Nice couple. Thankful.
The prices aren't too bad. Bottled beer was $4.50, mixed drinks I'm not sure of as I was the designated driver. Bottled water $1... fries $2.50, onion rings $2.99. Combos like burgers and fries $8... grilled cheese and fries I think was $7 or $7.50... they have things like fried pickles or cheese sticks for about $8... sorry I couldn't get a pic of the paper sheet that was a menu... ours was wrinkled, and they're a dark wine color...
The opening act, which wasn't advertised, wasn't bad if you like a predominantly country, raspy voiced acoustic guitar kinda guy. His name was "Bobby". Just... Bobby. Was told he played in Nashville 6 days a week. I can see it. He's pretty good. Just not what anyone wanted to hear for a couple of hours while waiting for a Journey tribute... and I heard people complaining left and right. And yawning. Yep. Yawning. It was the fact raspy voices don't have much range, and after about an hour he was beyond monotonous...
Once Resurrection came on stage? It got hopping!!! The bar had pretty much run out of food during Boring Bobby, so people need to eat EARLY. The acoustics are pretty good, the bass beat even vibrates the floor! The employees are ALL really nice. Customers/venue goers (whatever you want to call the people that bought tickets) are pretty nice, but have no compunction whatsoever of blocking your view. None. The open floor in front of the stage isn't that big and they will cram themselves on it or block the aisle leading to it, making it hard to get to your table if it's close to the stage and you went to the bar or the restrooms located to the right of the bar. Oh well. Concert. Happy rocking people. Deal with it, right?
I'll update if Kim and I make it to the GNR tribute...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 2, 2019
I really had a great time in this bar. I was in the area alone, and it was a very comfortable place to walk in, find a spot at the bar, and both the lady trending bar and the locals quickly started talking to me. Spent a pleasant couple of hours chatting, watching the baseball, drinking beer, and eating hot dogs. A nice hole in the wall sort of place. Great dive bar.

Great venue. Fun shows. Always fun and entertaining acts. Low ticket prices and inexpensive beer and drinks. Lots I if parking across the street.

At the Evership and District 97 show - what a great and local venue. Easy walking from the square (except for Broad) and very spacious while cozy seating. We sat on the couches in the back - felt like the concert was in my living room.

Not entirely sure how long this rendition has been here (bars in the area change names so frequently), but I think they may finally have a winner! It's a good sized club and they play a lot of good music. I've heard everything from funk to edm to hip hop. They bring in many great local artists to showcase their skills all the time. It's a good place to hang out and hear some good tunes. I have a blast every time I go.

New owner and completely remodeled! Must come back and check out the new place. the bar is spectacular, great sound system, and live local music every weekend. There is lots of additional seating and even group tables added for larger crowds. Cheap cover(varies depending on band) and cheap drink prices. They serve food as well! The Bartenders and servers all provide great service! Check The Pulse for upcoming events!

Overall a great experience... My only complaint is how expensive the drinks are. Far higher than at other establishments. Will continue to see shows here but won't buy any drinks.

I am giving 3 because I normally love this place. The owner is awesome, the venue is good, music is always great. Last night the alcohol tasted watered down. We have always gotten decent drinks here. Last night was different, 10 drinks split between 2 people in 2 hours, and not even a buzz. I would normally rate this place at a 4.5 stars. Disappointed last night

Wow. went out to see some rock bands this past weekend at Main Street Music. Here is what I found- FREE and easy parking. Friendly staff at door and bar. A food menu (I always get late night munchies). Well stocked bar with good prices. They have tables and chairs and couches. Uber comfortable. (who wants to stand all night!) And, most importantly the sound is Awesome!
