I found this place online because it is one of the only places in the area that offers Braziliian Keratin straightening treatments.
So I made an appt with Roy (he is the only one that does this) and it turns out, he is the same stylist that a makeup artist I know was raving about and referred me too (but never told me his name) when he was out of Menlo park...small world.
Anyways, I ended up getting the Keratin treatment becuase my hair is very dry, curly and hard to manage daily. The treatment made my hair SOOOOOO healthy, smooth, shiny and straight! It stayed straight for 3 months (I couldn't actually believe that I could wash my hair and just let it air dry)! It was so easy to manage and looked GREAT! Even better, my hairs quality and texture improved and it grew a good couple of inches because it was so healthy.
Roy also does my blowouts now that i'm back to curly hair. HE is one of the BEST ever for blowouts. He has a unique technique that gives so much volume. In addition hes very friendly and fun to talk to.
I would highly recomend ROY.
Like a few others, I came here for the Brazilian Keratin hair straightening treatment. I've had this done by Roy twice now and I *love* the results. My frizzy and damaged hair is now shiny and healthy looking. Roy is an expert at doing this and is very fast and efficient. I referred another friend to him and she was thrilled with the results as well. The salon itself is very clean and ultra modern. They even have a station of PC's so you can surf the web while your hair sets!

She just knows how to cut my hair perfectly. I know what I want and I explain it to Eryn and she just gets me. She knows how to cut my hair just how I like it. I have dense, filipina hair and she can cut it so I have movement and it flows well. It is versatile and I can do my hair funky or sophisticated. Good stuff!
I'm one of those guys who went to the same hairstylist for over a decade because I didn't think that there was a differnece in where you go, until I met Heather Firth over at Main St. Annex. This Girl knows customer service and won't quit until you're absolutely pleased with your look. She does just about everything from, amazing color work to stylish cuts, fun and conservative.
The Salon itself is just breathe taking, very high end in appearance, but it doesn't have that stuck up feel. All the staff have been friendly and welcoming everytime I return. Thank you
If you're looking for someone new for your doo, Heather Firth is deffinately worth a try, you won't be disapointed. She's easy to spot too, she's the one with neon red hair.

I LOVE YESENIA! She's the best! I walked in one day before having breakfast at Southern Kitchen to inquire. I met Yesenia and got her card, set up my appointment right after.
I loved my cut! Yesenia's very nice, easy to talk to which helps a lot! You will also get the feeling that she has real concern for you and the cut she'll give you. She'll listen to what you want done and she can give you her opinion too if you ask for it. She's not just a stylist for the money :) I recommended her to a good friend of mine and she loved her cut and Yesenia as well!
This place is amazing. It's super classy but really comfortable. They carry Bumble and Bumble, which is a must have for me, and the whole place has a very upscale feel. They have computers with internet access set up for when you have to wait for your hair to process, and that's super cool.
I followed Jordan here from Campbell Rage (this now makes the third salon I've seen him at). I have curly, virtually unmanageable hair, and he's one of the only people who has ever given me a haircut that I've been happy with. I've never had him do any color for me, but he does my girlfriend's color, and I can say without hyperbole that he is an artist. If you have something specific in mind, he follows things pretty faithfully and comes out with pretty much what you were imagining, but he really shines when you let him come up with his own thing.

I'm very particular about how much length I like taken off and Jordan listens to exactly what I want. He's been doing my hair for the last few years and we've done everything from multi-faceted highlights to super blonde and long extensions (that lasted me almost 6 months!!)

Jordan picked the perfect place for his customers. The parking is plentiful and free. Combine your hair cut with a stroll along University. Show off your awesome Jordan style and you'll feel like that opening shot in the Mary Tyler Moore Show (yes, I'm that old).
When Jordan moved to Main St. Annex Salon, duh, I followed him. He is a killer stylist, and everything he does to my hair (and I have changed it a LOT) looks awesome!
As for the salon: It is clean, sleek, and classy. Everyone there is very professional and pleasant. Plus, hello, they have computers with internet at the drying stations!

I have that type of hair that never cooperates--curly and crazy underneath, flat and thin on top. Stephanie at Main Street Annex came to my rescue! Somehow she snipped my unruly style to create a flattering trendy shape which SAVES ME TONS OF TIME getting ready in the morning. She's especially great at making my blonde color light and fresh, never dull and brassy. It's safe to say dimensional color is the bread and butter of her work.
You can tell she LOVES what she does and won't stop until she has it just right. Stephanie really listens to what you're asking for and finds a way to make it suit your personality and lifestyle. She is dedicated to the quality of her work and it's important to her that each client leaves fully satisfied. Bonus: plus she gives a fabulous scalp massage!

Eryn M. told me this while sitting in her chair at Rage several weeks back. In one second I had three thoughts:
"OMG! Rich white people live in Los Gatos..."
"I have to drive further..."
"A new salon?"
And one realization: she's been doing my hair for a while now... why would it matter where she went?
Of course I'd follow her.
Well folks, this salon is a HUGE upgrade from where I followed her from. The salon is beautiful and in a cute part of town. I'm not going to lie, I was a little intimidated when I first walked in. I mean, c'mon, it's a new environment and it looked, felt, and straight up WAS a way higher class salon than Rage. I was promptly greeted with a friendly smile at the front desk and told Eryn would be with me in a moment. About thirty seconds later she popped out. We went through the usual routine (she needs no guidance from me... actually I need the guidance from her hahaha). The thing I love is she knows what's up -- she knows where my hair is going and what needs to be done to get where I want to go. She provides a pep talk (because my hair is going through some awkward stages due to growing out) and a quick consultation.
The best part is I don't feel like a client or a customer, I feel like a guest. I love that and, actually, it inspired me in my job to have that same relationship with my customers.

I heard about this amazing new treatment called "The Brazilian" it is the newest hair trend straight from Europe. This product is the best thing on the market and anyone that wants silky smooth hair without using a serum and flat iron EVERY day...... then this is the way to go.
Roy at Annex is the only one I could find in the entire area. This is a VERY exclusive product and not too many people know about it YET!

I was in GREAT Need of getting my hair Done. I was going on a date and had to look good! I have tried many salons in Los Gatos and decided " Hey why not try Main St. Annex I haven't been there sine the new re-model from Tangles. So I had my Hair apt. with YESENIA.. I do got to say my hair is really hard to manage.. its curly, kinky,course, Frizzy.. Yes I was looking like a HOT MESS.. I showed her a pic.. and asked her to blow it out like Jessica Simpson. FINALLY !!! I found someone who can Blow out my hair the way I LOVE IT and she didnt even have to use a curling iron she did it all with the brush. I was pretty amazed. I was so happy and looked HOTT..she is the best!! Super sweet and my new found Hairdresser..
Some background, first. Usually get my hair done by a relative who lives in Sac, and though the prices were more than manageable, I just don't have the patience to wait until my next trip up. So, I was referred to Brooklyn by our fellow yelper, and my friend, Melissa F for a cut. She was nice, approachable, and offered me coffee. This is a big plus. I love coffee, but that's besides the point. The service was more than spectacular. After my appointment, I checked out at the front, scheduled my next appointment, and felt like a million bucks! I will definitely be back for more, and think you should pay Brooklyn a visit, too!
Lauren Feniello is absolutely fabulous! I have followed her throughout the years (3 salons in fact) and always leave the salon with beautiful hair. She always takes the time to discuss ideas with me in regards to color and cut. In addition, she is such a comforting person to talk to. I have recommended Lauren to my friends and colleagues and we all agree, Lauren ROCKS!
