In its previous incarnation, The Artful Eye, this was my favorite shop in Calistoga, the Napa Valley, perhaps in California. It was just the sort of gallery/shop I would want to have and I have several pieces purchased there over the years. But its owner grew weary and moved on. Main Element is a worthy successor, w/ an ever changing array of interesting objects in glass, ceramic, wood, precious metals and other media. Today they had a series of fascinating word collages in heart shapes on wood or other background, each w/ its own thematic message, the words under small pieces of glass. They have jewelry, of course, and clothing, but they also have very attractive lamps at reasonable prices and gorgeous dining room furniture. Every time we go in there is something new and interesting to admire.
