Maidu Regional Park

9 reviews for Maidu Regional Park
Maidu Park is one of those places where complete strangers feel it impolite if you don't smile at each other. I find it very interesting, cause its not in that fake way. They really want to say "good day" or "afternoon" to any passerby that they may cross.
Maidu is such a great place to grow up near. Not only do you have a great place to run, but it is safe and coyotes roam free there at night. It has fields for anyone to use (my family hold the annual thanksgiving football game there each year) and free baseball games anyone can attend during the hot summer nights. Within the last couple years they put in a hockey rink, but I am old school and remember the playground and dugouts better.

What a beauitful park with so many things you can do. They have a library, museum, community center, rose garden, skate track, playground, picnic areas, bike trail, softball complex, batting cages, soccer fields, basket ball court, easy to find: drinking fountains and bathrooms... Wow...
Oh Yeah, the best part. Walking trails, Its one of the few parks in Roseville (beside the kind of sad dog park) that dogs are allowed. But only on the trails.
What a all round nice place.

I love taking the kids out to this park for bike rides and walking the dog. I know that I am getting a good excersize in on this trail. If I could fix it, I would add shade or water fountains near the back of the trail.
Maidu is my daughter's favorite park in the "whole wide world". And when something is her favorite in the whole wide world it's usually something spectacular.
This 152 acre park has mostly everything for family and children of all ages:
- children's playground
- picnic areas
- bike/pedestrian trail
- lighted softball complex
- full basket ball court
- 5 lighted soccer fields
- batting cages
- skate track
The area also includes:
- Maidu Library
- Maidu Indian Museum
- Maidu Community Center
- Veteran's Memorial Rose Garden
A must visit for anyone in town.

Good park to go for a nice long walk. Neat trails down near the creek. It was a little too cleared out, I like more trees but it is nice there is a park like this in the middle of populated Roseville. The library is pretty cool too.
I love this park! I run around the park every other day. It's always clean and there are always avid runners running along with you.
The park also has 2 children's playgrounds, which is so nice when he gets bored with one. A huge plus is the numerous bathrooms that are there; sometimes they need a bit of cleaning but this is a sports complex so it is not uncommon to have dirt in there.

This park is really great because the younger kids could play in the park while the older kids had a sports game on the field. You can always make a trip to the Maidu Library before the park too! A lot of community information is given at the community center near the park.
The only complaint: I would want my kids playing over there at dusk or by themselves (a lot of perverts have been seen flashing themselves around the park) in the past and recently.
Great park with lots of things to do. My wife and I go to walk the paths near the soccer fields. We only go during the day so I can't say how it is as night, but I see light poles around the park proper (not out on the more distant trails though).
The main reason we like this park is the fact that dogs are allowed on the trails (on a 6' or less leash). There are drinking fountains and bathrooms easily available too.
We even drive around the surrounding neighborhoods to look for a house to buy there, we like it so much.

=) This park makes me smile...This is one of the places my then boyfriend brought me the first night we hung out. Our first kiss outside his car in the parkinglot before opening the door for me. Wow, brings back good memories. It was a chilly beautiful November night too. But yeah, that was years ago.
