I hesitate to put this Carneros Winery gem on the map . . .but I gotta share the Yelp love on this place.  Mahoney is the type of vineyard and winery they way things should be!  Think back to Napa about 25 years ago, before extreme tourism, overdevelopment and cars, cars, cars all day long on 29 and you have Carneros.

The Carneros area of Napa/Sonoma counties is exploding!  Mahoney is one of the only open-to-the-public tasting wineries besides Domain Chandon in the area and serves one of the meanest Pinots in the Napa/Sonoma area.  You gotta try their Award Winning 2003 and 2004.  I joined their Wine Club based on these tastings alone.

Look for the Carneros Festivals three times a year, approximately the week before Thanksgiving, the weekend after Easter and Valentine's Day weekend.  They have a $15 festival, open all family wineries, and basically just rock the socks off of the Carneros valley area for an entire weekend for charity.
