Just when I thought I couldn't be more impressed with Magic Mike he went and made me laugh super hard again. The other day on Facebook, Magic Mike posted from his class: "I'm so bored that I made a pie chart of my favorite bars and a bar graph of my favorite pies."
Classic stuff!

I have to say that I love magic and this guy is awesome!! He was such a great entertainer because he made me laugh and tricked me the whoOooOOooole time. Mike kept you engaged in his trick and wanting more when he is done. I have not met anyone who was easy to talk to and highly passionate about magic. To top everything off, he waited for my late sister to arrive prior to starting. This was a great way to celebrate my birthday!!
I saw him at the Magic Castle and I have to say that I would consider hiring him for an event.
Ok, let's be straight here. I love magic- I've seen it in Vegas, at random events and at the Magic Castle.
This might be one of the most entertaining magicians I've ever seen.
I saw him at the Magic Castle, and then hired him for an office event at my house.
He is seriously, just, hilarious. And on top of that, his magic is insane. I feel like usually you get just a funny guy, or just a good magician- but he's an amazing mix of the two. So personable, so kind, and really helped make my event a hit.
I usually get really annoyed too, because a lot of magicians are super cheesy/just do the same jokes/magic for years, but Mike's stuff seems so new (ask to see the iPhone magic), and the things he says forces laughter out of even the most serious folk. The way he improvises, with magic, is simply spectacular.
I promise you, you will get your money's worth.
I hired Mike for my wedding reception and he was an absolute hit with the guests. He did some great tricks that were amazing and he's a pretty funny guy as well. He definitely knows how to work a room and was a pleasure to have. No wonder he was so highly rated on yelp.
If you want some great entertainment for a reception or a party then put Mike at the top of your lists.
Seeing as those crazy rule-makers at Yelp won't let me give anything more than 5 stars, I guess Magic Mike just gets 5 stars from me.
I've never had much interest in magic myself (although Gob Bluth did peak my interest in performing illusions for a while - I mean who doesn't want to make a yacht disappear?!) but then I got to witness the genius that is Magic Mike. He's entertaining and hilarious, with fantastic tricks to boot! He pokes fun at the cheesy old standards of the typical magic show and keeps you laughing while you're being amazed by his wondrous skills. Mike is a fantastic addition to any event and I definitely hope to catch his act again sometime soon.
I brought a few friends to the Magic Castle the other night and saw Magic Mike perform. His show was great. It's hard to describe the awesomeness of his magic but I'll try-- he did one trick that involved changing the colors/suits/backgrounds of the cards and another that involved altering a few cards that were under an audience member's butt (without using his hands, obviously). My jaw literally dropped when he did the last trick.
Overall the show was really entertaining. He's very funny and personable. He did a good job of getting audience members involved and tamed a pair of rowdy drunk folks in the front row with some sass. It was awesome.
Life is about the balance of opposites. If there are cool people and sucky people, Mike would undoubtedly hover at the top of the "Cool" list.
He is truly an awesome magician - and hilarious, too. My friends and I were lucky enough - with Mike's generosity - to spend an evening at the Magic Castle. Sure, magicians were abound, and we saw a great deal of clever magic everywhere!
But at the end of the night, everyone agreed - Mike's show was by far the best and the funniest. We laughed, we hollered, we gasped, we ooh-ed, and we ahhh-ed all night as Mike impressed us with his "close up" magic and unstoppable humor.
Some of my friends commented that he should've been a stand-up comedian. I replied, "That's why Mike was so awesome. It's like stand-up comedy and magic, all in one!"
Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, Mike is not only great at entertaining large crowds, he's also extremely personable, friendly, outgoing, and... he's very cute, too! For sure, my girlfriends ALL mentioned that he was very good looking. Oh, and actually, my guy friends can't wait to take him clubbing! They're sure he'll be a total hit with the ladies!
How much better can it get? Looks, charm, wit, and "magic." He's got it all! And thanks to him, my birthday was super memorable - not just for me, but for all my friends, too.

This review better not get "filtered" out by the "algorithm," because this is CROSS MY HEART HOPE TO DIE an honest review.
I've seen a fair number of magicians in my day. From trips to the Magic Castle to Vegas...I even had a magician at my sixth birthday party! I was always big on guessing how tricks were done, and once spent an entire weekend learning how to hide a card in my hand so as to flip it into sight from "out of thin air." I like to think this improves my magic street cred, though it surely does not.
But that all being said, I first saw Magic Mike perform when he was still in high school, and even then he had all the characteristics of a wonderful and experienced magician! He had a bevy of tricks, was big on engaging the audience so that we felt like a part of the excitement, incorporated a lot of humor into the tricks as well, and had the overall charisma and charm that make a performer of any craft enjoyable. It's no wonder he's won so many awards for his mad skills. At the time I saw many of his tricks, cards seemed to be his medium of choice, but they weren't your typical "pick a card, any card" tricks...these were tricks I actually couldn't figure out, and like any good magician, he never revealed his secrets, as much as I begged.
I also witnessed Magic Mike perform a bigger trick that involved cards traveling across the room without him touching the deck (hard to explain in a short review, but suffice it to say, pretty baller), that to this day I'm still impressed and have no idea how he did it. I'm sure that he's only improved over the years and if I were still living in the LA area and in need of entertainment for an event or party, he'd be the first person I'd call. A great magician, but also a great guy.
Mike is entertaining with both laughter and mystery. I had the pleasure of watching his performance while attending a corporate event. He did a great job and left us intrigued and baffled with his numerous tricks. His last trick was quite interesting since it would make him seem like he was a mind reader. Mike if you really are a mind reader, what were we all thinking? HAHA
Any way, He's a great Entertainer! I highly recommend Mike for any function as he would make it a memorable one.
Whoa! This guy is amazing! I was seriously blown away by his performances, magic tricks and his show! As an entertainer Magic Mike engages the entire audience no matter how many people he is performing in front of. His magic tricks are also unbelievable. I seriously have walked away trying to figure out how the trick even . Overall, a great experience for anyone of any age.
Having 10 years of experience in the trade, Mike has a discernible talent with magic; however, his talent goes far beyond that. He is an excellent entertainer. He's wonderful at engaging his audience and successfully brings everyone in to make them a part of the experience. His quick wit, timing, and delivery will keep you laughing throughout. An evening with Magic Mike is a great one.

Mike's specialty is close up magic, making the experience intimate and exciting. His energetic and conversational interactions and mannerisms make his magic more relatable to young adults. I've seen his tricks confuse and astonished countless groups of skeptics and unify party-goers in an engaging experience. For a brief moment you feel like a kid again - and the ability to make our all too adult lives revert to childlike disbelief and awe is an amazing talent and joy. Plus he's just a cool guy.
Mike is an incredibly charming, funny and TALENTED magician. He's able to sneak into your mind without even knowing it and make the impossible seem possible. He's a lover of magic - this isn't just a job - so you really get what you pay for. A true joy to have at any event!!

Amazing close-up magic (cards, coins, rubber bands, etc.) at significantly lower prices (since I'm just out of college, I can do that).
You're going to have a great event, a memorable party. That's a done deal. My goal is to take your event from memorable to unforgettable. That might sound a little cheesy, but that's really my goal (and my references can attest to that!). I'm 22 and have been a magician Member of the Magic Castle for 9 years. I have also performed all over the world in London, Ecuador, and Poland.
