Even for adults, this is a fun treat. The light displays really are incredible. We used to take two cars over and the second group would all pile in the back of the truck so we only pay for one car (No, I'm not a redneck).

There are over 3 million lights along the 6 1/2 mile long trek. At the end, they have amusement rides, pony rides, a big fire pit, and Santa's shop. We always bring all the makings of s'mores. The ladies like to buy new ornaments and knickknacks in the store.

They also offer an array of food and warm drinks. They lost one star from me because the funnel cakes were terrible. Clearly, the oil was not hot enough, and it ended it being soggy.

Beware, it can get crowded. Go earlier instead of later.   Make sure to turn your headlights off when you're going around!!

As a kid, my favorite thing to do every Christmas was to go to the Magical Nights of Lights at Lake Lanier Islands. I grew up not too far from there, so it was always a tradition for us to do this. You go and pay a per car fee, and then you just drive through the park to look at all the lights. Lake Lanier Islands Park seems HUGE when you're a kid! It's really about six miles or so. The lights seem to stretch on forever and they're beautiful and twinkly and everything you want Christmas to be when you're a kid.

Beware, it gets very very crowded on the weekends, but that just gives you more time to stare at all the lights!

When you're at the end of the light tour, you can stop at the Holiday Village. They have a Santa to give your wish list to, marshmallow roasting at a big bonfire, and holiday shopping.
