Highly highly recommend magic cut to anyone seeking a new place for family cuts! I have had wonderful service by Ysenia since i arrived but my entire family goes and we love all the girls! Never had a bad experience. On the contrary they are efficient, super friendly and very accommodating! Please dont hesitate to go here. You wont be disappointed!

Ysenia is and has been my family's go to Hair connoisseur for years now. Her professionalism and vast knowledge makes getting my haircuts done the right way easy. She not only does my hair and my boys' but my wife and daughters' as well. From cut to color to style she knows and does it all!

Despite the years, this business lacks professionalism, integrity, morally, and ethical practices.
Hairstylist - Claimed they have years of experience but their work is less than mediocre and have the mentality of "I am right customer is wrong!"
Dahlia- exhibits bipolar behaviors. Untrustworthy, to say the least. Acts honorably when others are present to give credit for actions but does not do the right thing, when no one is looking. Horrible representation of women empowerment. She disciplines employees in front of customers (unprofessional). Do not waste your time to complain if you're dissatisfied with service rendered. She doesn't give a dam about your experience and will lie to avoid responsibility when confronted with issues..
***File a complaint with state or BBB to establish a pattern of illegal and unethical business practices.***
See photo example of business pride of service! Hairstylist stained sport jersey with hair dye along with a horrible haircut. Couldn't care less, not her fault, really? How is this the customers fault?
Enter this business at your own risk. Would not recommend!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nicole H.CA, CA052Feb 29, 2024Updated review
I was hesitant to complain but eventually got in contact with the salon owner, Dalia Hanna, on 02/28/2024. We spoke over the phone and I explained what had happened. Dalia didn't take any accountability and basically blamed me for the incident. She asked what would remedy the situation, which was strange to me because I felt as the owner, she should've willingly offered me a refund. If I was a salon owner and a client had walked out the way I did, I would've been mortified and offered a refund, no questions asked. I explained how badly the dye stained me and how it had irritated my skin (hoping she would willingly offer a refund), but eventually I asked for a refund and she begrudgingly agreed.
Over texts, she kept insisting that she sent me the refund through Zelle. I was patient and gave her the benefit of the doubt, even though I saw nothing processed through my account. Eventually, I sent her a screenshot of my Zelle activity page that showed I hadn't received any payment in the last 30 days. Instantly, she offered me a discount on future services that would amount to what I paid. I told her I wasn't interested as I'm not comfortable receiving services from this salon after my experience. Her offering a discount and not providing proof that she sent the refund through Zelle (i.e. confirmation email), shows me that she lied about sending me the money/never actually sent the money like she said she did. After I declined the discount, she stopped answering my text messages/left me on read.
I feel like this salon owner really took advantage of the fact that I'm young, thought she could simply say she sent me the money and that I would take her word for it. I'm also concerned with the lack of accountability. The dye had been left on my skin for almost an hour. My skin is "normal" and I never have bad reactions to skin/hair products. Since this incident, my skin is extremely dry and flaky where the dye had been in contact with my skin. I can only imagine the damage that could've been done on someone with more sensitive skin than mine. So I would steer clear of going to this salon because the owner will not take accountability/be difficult if something goes wrong with your service(s)!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2Feb 26, 2024Previous review(02/26/2024) First time coming into a professional hair salon in years & had the *WORST* experience. I wanted to go back to my natural color after tinting my hair red for years and cut any dead ends off. Erica (sp?) was the stylist available when I came in. She dyed my hair in the bowl and left me there for 45 minutes. My neck was digging into the edge of the bowl and I was clearly very uncomfortable. The stylist tended to another client but went to the back and didn't check on me at all. I didn't have my phone on me so once she washed my hair and took me to the chair was when I saw the atrocious dye stain on my forehead. She proceeded to cut my hair way too short and thinned it out when I didn't ask her to. She clearly didn't know how to properly cut curly hair. The stylist didn't even try to wipe the dye off before I left and let me walk out with this huge skid mark on my forehead. She didn't even apologize and simply said the stain would come out with my "natural skin oils" (whatever that means). I realized how bad the dye stain was as I was walking out and another stylist stared at me with the most bewildered look. I was supposed to go into work after this haircut but ended up taking a sick day bc of how long it took me to scrub my forehead once I got home and how irritated my forehead was after trying to get the stain off. Even after all the scrubbing, I still have a shadow of where the stain. Besides the horrible dye stain, my hair turned out way shorter and wayyy darker than I wanted (unnaturally black, which I told Erica was what I wanted to avoid). And I was charged $110. Unfortunately I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone...

My husband had a very poor experience here today with Joann. He came in before our photoshoot this afternoon for a simple undercut. Joann quickly informed him that this was not the haircut he "should" get, and that shed rather give him a fade. My husband (having known exactly what look he was going for) declined, and insisted on the undercut he asked for. We now wonder if Joann didn't actually know how to do an undercut. She ended up giving him a fade instead. When he asked why shed done this, she made an excuse about having to give him a fade because she's already faded his side burns. She seemed disinterested in him and his service when he first arrived, but as they got to speaking, she became very passionate about speaking and seemed to get distracted from doing his actual hair. My husband enjoyed their conversation alot and liked her personality, but could tell she wasn't paying much attention to his hair. When he got home and tried to style it, we found that a huge chunk of hair had been avoided all together, and that the cut was extremely inconsistent. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with the result, I had to stop doing my own hair for the photoshoot in order to recut his.
Over all the place had a quant atmosphere, but his actual haircut made it an unpleasant experience. We won't be returning.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mary B.Modesto, CA3097Jul 29, 2023Updated review
I've been going to magic cut for years. The staff is always very warm and welcoming and professional. I've gone gray before, I was ready to take that leap again and transition so after growing my gray out as you see in the first picture, I was ready to do a highlight and low light combination on my hair. This is where Joan excels! I had been using a medium neutral brown on my hair so it was a bit of a challenge to lift out that dark color so we could highlight in some platinum blonde. Joan was able to make a plan with me so we could get me to the next step and look how it turned out

Katie cuts my hair now and she's does an excellent job. She's been cutting hair for years and knows what she's doing! Dalia threads my brows -she's wonderful! Check out my pictures from the highlight Katie just did for me. Dalia did my brows. Thank you ladies!

My family and I have been going to Dalia and a Sherri for many years. Dalias threading is amazing! She listens to what we need and does an amazing job. She's the only person I truest with my eyebrows and she's threaded all my daughters eyebrows. Sherri has been cutting my hair for years and the one time I went somewhere else, she fixed what they did. Will never go anywhere else. Friendly atmosphere.

TLDR - atmosphere is amazing and joyful, haircuts are mediocre and threading made me have a bad breakout.
I was a walk-in which was nice of them to welcome me. I had seen a comment about cleanliness and was a little worried but they swept consistently and wiped tools with a rag. So cleanliness is good. They are also all so nice and funny which makes me feel a little bad to say this. The haircut was straightforward by request but somehow looks like it was done at home with no blending. It's probably not uneven but I'll get it fixed soon. I also had my eyebrows done. Mind you everyone has long experience and I can tell by the technique which leads me to believe that the threading is so bad? Or maybe the after care liquid? I had a rash across my forehead and eyebrows. Im lucky that I didn't have a big event this weekend that would require me to look the part because I would have been devastated.
Would i go back for a haircut? Maybe if it was not for an event and i would have time to grow it out to fit myself.
Would i go back for threading? Nope.
Would i try waxing? No, just because I have little faith in the possible outcome.
Again - everyone is so nice and welcoming atmosphere but not exactly the outcome I would want someone to have.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
