Hey! You want a casual outdoor patio dining with a marina and Seattle view? You found it here! Burgers, fish, salads, sandwiches...good beer selection. I had the fish n chips the wife had a cold salad and the atmosphere was great! Bring your sunglasses if a sunny day and enjoy the views...food...drink...boats...and people watching!

Maggie Bluffs is really 3 stars but to sum up my experience it is just over price okay food and shitty service that deserves only 1 star with a great review of the marina.

We came on a Sunday evening...even though it was half empty, we waited a long time to get seated...HELLO....my daughter and newborn is getting restless.

Finally get seated and our server JASON, immediately goes over what the kitchen ran out of which is about half the menu. Fail.

I ordered a Holiday Mojito- weak sauce...needs to be muddle more.

    We finally ordered food:
*Bowl of MAGGIE'S PRIME RIB CHILI - okay, nothing special but comes with stale tortilla chips.
*Cup of MARINA GRILL CLAM CHOWDER - okay, nothing special...taste like in a can.
*FISH & CHIPS with sweet potato fries - best thing is the sweet potato fries...the fish taste like frozen fish. Worst Ever...Go visit The Frying Scotsman in PDX for a lesson.
*TURKEY BLTA with onion rings - Too much bread - I hate Focaccia bread.
*BUFFALO CHICKEN SANDWICH with garlic fries - Good but needed more sauce and fries are pretty garlic but prefer it thicker cut fries. Skinny fries don't cut it.
*HOT SWEET RED CRAB & ARTICHOKE SANDWICH with tater totts - It was okay, needed more favor...reminded me of tuna fish and the tater totts were pretty good with ketchup and tarter sauce.
*CRISPY FRIED ALASKAN TRUE COD TACOS - Okay, nothing special...I hate the battered.

*And Kid's Fish & Chips that suppose come with icecream sandwich.

**SMASH** The lady server drops and breaks glass cups that flew everywhere. Scares the shit out of my daughter and broken glass slid under our table. Lets the manager sweep up the mess and didn't clean the glass under our table.

Then our Server JASON never check back for more water AND FORGOT MY DAUGHTER'S ICECREAM SANDWICH.  This caucasian family with 2 kids which came after us got served TWO icecream sandwich for their two kids and JASON remember them.  IS OUR SERVER RACIST?!  This got me fucking hot!  We just paid our bill and still tip 20% which JASON doesn't deserve!

Not coming here Muth*** Facking again!  Go to Palisade instead if you want to enjoy the view with more quality food!

I was really looking forward to trying this place, on the advice of a friend who used to work in the area.  Unfortunately, the service was so awful we didn't even have a chance to sit down.  Upon walking in the door and waiting patiently at the entrance, we were ignored by the entire staff, most notably the manager on duty, who walked by half-a-dozen times without even attempting eye contact.  We weren't alone.  The group of 3 in front of us had been waiting awhile, and were wondering whether they should just try and sit (there was a clearly visible sign that said please wait to be seated).  When they finally got seated, I figured it would be our turn shortly.  No dice.  The manager proceeded to carry on as if we weren't even there, answering calls, taking out orders, and ringing up bills.  They did seem to be missing a server, which is fine.  I get that - it happens, and service will ultimately be slower, so no big deal.

But not even a simple "Hello", "I'll be with you shortly", or "Sorry for the wait, just a few minutes please"?  I don't ask for much, and am generally patient, but when it's obvious you're ignoring customers, it's time to go.  I'll probably try it again at some point, and likely upgrade the review, but others (especially the manager) should see this as an issue that needs to be fixed.

Location, location, location --- and an order of clear skies and sunshine, and Maggie Bluffs is the place to be. I was at MB's this weekend and it was a perfect Seattle day. We started with mussels with bacon in the broth. Pretty tasty!  We had tea and burgers. I didn't really care for the honey mustard slathered on the burger (too sweet), but the bun was nice and soft. The fries weren't anything special, no crisp, thin and kinda limpy. It's nice to sit in the sun, see the sail boats and the downtown skyline.

I don't know what happened since they changed their menu. I went twice within the last 6 months and both times, the meals were salty!!! My friend ordered chili and couldn't finish it cause it was so salty. I ordered the fish taco which was so full of sauce that it got soggy and I had to eat it with a fork and knife. The other time, another friend order a salad with mushy nachos, can't even remember what I had (yeh that memorable). Service was ok and of course the view is nice but you can go to other restaurants or even upstairs to Palisades to get a view.  oh yeh be careful about where to park, my friend got a ticket too. boooooo!

Maggie Bluff's was a little tricky to find if you're not local to the area but the location has a really nice view of the boats and sits right on the water. I went during lunch time and it was surprisingly quiet. The highlight for me was the food. Great buffalo chicken and awesome garlic fries. Looking forward to another visit to try out a burger.

I've been to Maggie Bluffs many many times over 10+ years, unlike some of the reviewers. While their comments are valid for their experience, and their experience does matter(hopefully management reads), the long term view, if you're interested is pretty good. Yes, the view is fantastic and it is one of Seattle's best sunny day places (really any day, since being by our great waterfront is always good). The food is indeed informal, slightly upscale in places, "bar food". But nearly everything I've had there over the years is fresh, tasty and well prepared. And the price is right. The service can vary, and can suffer when the place is busy during peak hours on summer weekends. I've never cared about that...if they want to let me sit a bit, that's fine. I wouldn't recommend going there in a hurry, if that helps. When I see the really pissy reviews, I think 'thank god I wasn't their waiter.' Some folks really sound like they're on a mission from God, and have suffered oh so terribly. Spare us all the long winded, boringly detailed, "grievously injured party"  spleen venting rants.

A friend of mine kept talking about this place to telling me of great this place and what a good time we would have there . Over a year my mind kept thinking about this place and one day the I asked her to join me for some dinner . Sadly my mind had built up this place too much , the food was good I enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries , wow that had a kick . She had an open-face sandwich with crab dip . The place had marina look charts , photos and boat rope too . Note to self next time someone tells about place ask them whats like or go in with more of open mind .

Maggie Bluff's has recently re-done their menu with all new ingredients and slightly more upscale offerings. While before the new menu, their sandwiches were sometimes hit-or-miss, I'm now consistently impressed by their selection.

Their Turkey BLTA, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and their fish & chips will almost fool you into thinking you're at a fine dining establishment. Then once you try their crispy garlic fries with Thai coconut mayo, you'll remember that you're at an even better place, a down-to-earth restaurant that knows exactly how to make a knockout meal!

There prices are very reasonable and the service has always been outstanding. I have yet to try their outdoor patio, but the views of Elliott Bay are siempre magnifico!

Don't forget to order one of their Oreo milkshakes...you might end up staying at Maggie's a bit longer than you intended :)

This place has the same view as Palisade but cheaper. I came here on a Friday afternoon close 4 for "tea". The fish and chips was decent. I liked the sweet potato fries. Happy hour menu was fairly reasonably priced and the service was friendly. Definitely a good diner style setting for food.

One of the best places in Seattle to sit outside on a sunny day.  They also get extra points for allowing dogs to sit outside of their roped area.

Service is quick and friendly and the servers love dogs and are very welcoming with fresh water and plenty of attention.

Food is basic pub fare.  If you like a bit of kick try the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.  Burgers are consistently good.  Brunch is available on the weekends and is worth a try as well.

This place sometimes annoys me.  Service is either awesome or awful, no in between.

But I come here all the time because the food is great and so is the view.

Seriously?  You need to try a salad with their ginger-lime vinaigrette.  AMAZING.  I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

And try the garlic fries and/or the sweet potato fries!!

If I could, I would give Maggie Bluff's 5+ stars for the patio. The city/mountain/bay views are as good as it gets anywhere around the city. And word is obviously out because this place is nuts on a sunny weekend day. The good news is I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a patio table. It's totally worth the wait.

The food is standard 3-4 star pub grub fare, with some above average exceptions, namely the Turkey BLT and the Chicken Pesto sandwich. But the one menu item that I return for again and again is the hot and cold salad (think taco salad only with house made prime rib chili instead of taco meat). I don't know of another place in town to get such a salad and it's the perfect meal for sunny patio dining.

Service is good and friendly but spread very thin during peak hours. And the smallish kitchen gets backed up so food isn't always delivered quickly though I will say it is fresh when it arrives. My recommended remedy: have a mimosa and enjoy the view while you wait.

I've gone here twice, and I now feel like I can write up a review.

My first experience was pretty poor. I was here with two other people and we just wanted drinks and fries. They told us we had a half hour wait. We notice the outdoor bar had tables open, and asked if we could take one of those. We were told that we could sit there as long as we only ordered drinks; we said we just wanted fries and were told that they couldn't do that for us. We sucked it up and said we'd just get drinks.
I found it interesting that everyone else sitting in the bar had entire meals, but they wouldn't let us get ONE order of fries, which I'm sure is already made and sitting in the kitchen.
We sat in the bar for TWENTY minutes without even the slightest attention from a server (no water, no drink orders) before we decided to just leave. Nobody even noticed.

My second experience was only slightly better. Yesterday they were having a Labor Day special, so I decided I would give it another try. After waiting quite awhile for a seat, we finally got one outside. It took a few minutes before we got our order taken, and we were never brought water (which would be nice to get on such a hot day). The drinks were average, and the garlic fries were a very small portion and just okay tasting.
I can understand when a place is busy and I don't expect to be treated like the only person there, but none of the servers were very friendly, and nobody apologized for how long it took to get anything done.
By this point I was just finding things to be picky about; why would you have black metal patio tables? I couldn't touch my table the entire time it was so hot!

Considering that this place is pretty out of the way unless you happen to be docking a boat there, I doubt I'll be ending up back here anytime soon.

Food is great, outdoor seating is a must in the spring/summer months.  The service can be slow at times but the food makes up for the wait.

Lately the last few times I've gone in here there has been nobody in here, but I guess it was pretty close to closing time which by the way I think they should extend their hours of operation to stay open later.

Anyway check if out if you want an incredible view on a nice day with some good foodies to go along.

Maggie Bluffs is a great place for brunch especially if the sun is out.

Perhaps it was a little chilly to be eating outside but the sun was out and so we couldn't resist to be out in sunshine with a glorious view of the bay and the city in the far yonder. Despite being the only table seated outside, service was attentive and quick.

I ordered a 4-egg smoke salmon omelet. (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) Yes you heard me right... FOUR eggs! I've never had an omelet this big in my life. My friend joked that they made it four eggs because they needed to fill half the ginormous plate with it. It was a tasty breakfast, albeit large, filled with smoked salmon, chives, and topped off with a liberal dollop of sour cream. I thought the potatoes really stole the show though. They were well seasoned, crispy on the outside, but soft and smooth like mashed potatoes on the inside. Yum. Oh and it comes with toast too.

When you consider that you can sit and relax for a moment after a large meal, sip your coffee, and look out at the glorious view... I say that is one pretty sweet morning.

Maggies was once great. Great burgers, great service and great prices. Now a new manager has  been brought in. She single-handedlly ruined the whole menu, slashing portion sizes, raising prices and training her servers not to pay attention but to have a good time while paying scant attention to customers. She ruined what was once great so she could save the company money? Mia? Mira? Whoever you are, please retire and let someone who can ressurect the original spirit of Maggie's show through. Emily, the asst manager was great, but she is gone now. Where are the huge burgers? The pea salad? The triple-decker fudge cake?

The viw can't be beat, but sadly, the food and service can.

There really isn't anything that stands out here that makes it worth the cost or drive. Service was a bit slow for not being very busy (1pm). I was with a group of 6 and not one person complemented on their meal. The food was okay but not worth the prices by any means. The best thing about this place is the pretty view (patio sitting) of the boats and north Seattle. However, one must remember that most of us all tend to go to restaurants to enjoy food, beverages, our quest and the service. The nice view should be an added bonus to the experience not other way round.

I hestitate to write a review for this place because I don't want you to go there and take all the outside tables. This is an excellent place for lunch. Its pricey for what you get, but that is like most waterside options. At lunch we did not see the bad service mentioned in other reviews. The service was good. The chili was okay, the ahi tuna sandwich nice. The chop chop salad was lacking. It seems the food is decent (keep expectations on low burner) and its just a lovely intimate setting right on the water. I will be back for happy hour. But don't tell anyone.

Maggie Bluff's is the downstairs backend neighbor of the more high class Palisades next door. You'll see all the valet parking for Palisades and if you choose to ask one of them where Maggie Bluff's is, they may sniff "the servants quarters are in the back."

But Maggie Bluff's isn't that bad, it's actually just affordable. You've got decent seafood with a nice view of Elliot Bay and the marina. There's a small patio with a number of seats for the 21 sunny days in the Seattle summer.

At the last trip, everyone ordered the fish and chips which comes in a small basket. The portions are pretty large and a decent value for the price. I'd call them at least respectable compared to your average pub food. There's a decent selection of beers and wine should you choose to partake. Service was fairly quick and friendly although the patio was sparsely populated.

Overall it's mostly three star food with a four star value and view.

I live on Magnolia and I have probably been to Maggie's Bluff 10 times in my life...5 times in the past 5 years because a friend who always pays always wants to go there.

I have never had a meal that I thought was above average.  The view is great; that is the only thing it has going for it.

Today, for example, I SPECIFICALLY asked our waitress if the French Dip had plenty of meat (I hate it when there is too much bread and not enough meat), she said there was.  It was perhaps the skimpiest amont of meat I have had on a French Dip (and for $12.95), and I order French Dip a lot.  There was not enough Au Jus or ketchup with the fries (they do not put Ketchup or Tabasco on the table, and she never checked in after we got our food.

It is unimpressive every time I go and I am not picky (see how few 1 or 2 star reviews I have).

I have never had an awful meal (except when I was like 10 years old, ordered no mayo and had it slathered on there) but as Yelp explains 1 star: "Eek? Methinks not" a good place to go.  Save your money and go somewhere else, or save up and go upstairs to Palisade.

    Tasty, affordable, and wonderful view!

Yet again, another cool, hidden Seattle restaurant.  I heard about this place from a friend in Magnolia and was eager to try it out.

First off, it shares the same incredible view as Palisades but at a fraction of the price.  So if you are looking to impress your more casual friends and visitors, it's great for that.  It's incredibly kid friendly, meaning there are constantly children there in all age ranges.  It is a small space though, so if you bring large parties, you will probably be waiting for a bit.

The service has always been friendly for us, though they may not always know what's good that day.  The beer is great here and they do have their own tasty brews!  The food appears to be a hit or miss.  Nothing inedible, but some dishes are much better than others.  I would come here just to get their sweet potato fries and the irresistible crab and artichoke sandwich.

And overall, it's a reasonable price for the food and view.  And the ceilings fans are awesome.  I just love them.  Also, be sure to read the sign that tells you where the bathrooms are, hehehe.

First, if you go, make sure you park in restaurant parking. The lot is not well signed, and all three cars we arrived in got $38 tickets. I called the restaurant afterward to say they should have some sort of warning, and the guy was a twit. He just kept repeating, "yeah... bummer. You can't park in those permit spots." I KNOW that now. But it would help if they had a sign in front of the restaurant telling you this.

So... that aside. I love this place. This was an office lunch, and we wanted to break the "Thai place around the corner" thing that we all fall into. So we went to Maggie's because I'd been in the past.

It's a great burgers/sandwiches/salads kind of place. Other reviewers who gripe about the menu seem to miss this. It's nothing more. Good bar food with an unparalleled view of Seattle over the harbor.

One real actual food comment: the salads come in small and large ($7 and $11 roughly). Regardless of what the wait staff tells you, the small is not a meal. Even lunch. The large is, and it's not one of those ginormous massive things you get sometimes. It's just a nice sized salad that you'll probably be able to eat most of.

The BBQ chicken salad had three big pieces of (deep fried or breaded or something) chicken, and lots of other good stuff. The chop salad got a sort of a three star rating from one of our diners. The rest were quite happy with what they got.

So there. Good grub. Great view. Interesting ambiance. And incredibly expensive parking if you do it wrong.

My second visit today and just as good as the first!

It's a marina-side diner - what do you expect? My biggest complaint was that they were a little stingy with my husband's sweet potato fries. So what? Is there a level in Hell for that? Hardly!

Service was great and accomodating. Food was delish and view awesome as always. I'd always go back.

So it all started off with this Seattle heat wave and not wanting to cook at home; naturally this lead to the decision to go out to eat. Our group of three could not decide on a destination, so we hopped on Yelp and decided to try something new and close to home.

Heading in to Maggie Bluff's was a positive experience...sunny, beautiful, right on the water and a nice breeze on the outside patio. The hostess was kind enough to warn us that none of the tables left were in the shade, but our group was prepared to handle the heat. However, we soon became concerned when we had waited 15 mins in the scorching sun without having a server come to our table to introduce themselves or bring us water/refreshments. A few mins later we noticed two tables get drinks (customers who came in after us) were about to walk out or notify someone that we had been forgotten.

A server finally came to our table only to notify us that they were not our server, but that he could get drinks started for us. We happily obliged (perhaps they were just busy/understaffed on this sunny summer day?).

5 mins later....no drinks or water

Our server finally came to the table (without drinks) and apologized for the wait and took our orders. I must admit she was very friendly and my grilled ahi sandwich was great! The sweet potatoes that came along with it were some of the best I had.

Overall, the food was tastey and the location was beautiful...but I would have hoped for more punctual service or someone at least taking drink orders so we didn't feel like they had forgotten us. Due to the great food, I would give this restaurant another shot!

Maggie Bluff's is great for sitting outside on a warm day and smelling the salty air.  Their sweet potato fries cannot be missed.  After coming here over a dozen times, I can say that their sandwiches, salads, and burgers are all delightful.

Today I had their BBQ Pork sandwich (the sandwich itself comes with cabbage on it, so if you're not into that request it without).  It comes with the sweet potato fries.  The pork itself was good, and the roll it came on was decent enough - it definitely could have used more pork though...  It wasn't the messy trouble I originally hoped for.

Their chop chop salad and Maytag blue cheese salad are also great choices.  Burgers are pretty standard fare.  Overall - great location on the water, decent food, and good service.  If it's cloudy, I'll go elsewhere.

The one thing Maggie's Bluff has is a view.  It's got a great view of the water and when it's sunny out, you can sit outside and enjoy that view.

Otherwise, it was...ok.  Average.  I don't really have that much to say about it b/c it reminded me of a Red Robin type of restaurant...only by the water.

Ok.  So this is kind of boring, but honestly, I have nothing else to say about this place.

Not sure what the hell was going on with the weather yesterday in Seattle but it was fuckin' awesome! Just when you think the shit season has begun and it's time to start poppin' the vitamin D for another 8 months, the rain stops, sun pops out and the temps climb to a near-comfortable level. This rare occurrence calls for drastic measures to ditch work, school or whatever and get your ass outside! After hitting a bucket of balls at Interbay, lunch at Maggie's was so on. No doubt about it.  The thing about Maggie's is, regardless of how crappy the food can be at times (don't order the BBQ pork sandwich, even if you are tempted by the sweet potato fries!), the beer is good, the service is good, you can't beat the scenery and when the sun's out all sins are forgiven and I know there's a reasonable chance I might not be going to hell afterall.

BTW - I discourage bringing kids to Maggie's, purely for selfish reasons, they haven't lived long enough to commit enough sins to warrant stealing a necessary religious experience from me. Outside seating is limited, so you've got to earn it, sorry but life sucks you little groms!

Great outdoor seating on a beautiful day. If you've got Fido along he can sit outside with you. The staff even brings fresh water for the pooch.
And, speaking of staff, Maggie Bluffs has seen its' fair share of ups and downs. The current staffing situation is very, very good. Nice greeting from the hostess, prompt wait person attention, courteous busers, and a floor manager who actually works the floor. Checking in with folks, moving umbrellas when needed, he's the real deal. I, for one, am tired of so-called managers who seem to think they don't need to roll up their sleeves and do some work when needed. Nothing particularly flashy or special on this menu. It is odd that one of the five daily specials isn't available; no regular, plain iced teas only flavored tea; no root beer. Hmm? Fries are good with the option of sweet potato if you like. That cod sandwich has the best darn crust in town (next time want only to have the cod no bun.) The chop chop is not to my particular tastes though good. I think they have some of the best clam chowder around. Take that Ivar's. In Seattle it doesn't get any better than sitting on the bay with an ice cold beer, a bowl of chowder, and your best friend at your feet.

Good food, good beer, good view!

When we first started coming here, someone said it was a poor man's Palisades since they share the same kitchen.  Well, I've eaten upstairs and their food is good too.

    Enjoy

This place is great if you want to check out the view of downtown Seattle. The food ranges to great tasting sandwiches, salads, and seafood. I highly recommend the french dip while my friends settled on salmon salad, kabob tortillas and fish and chips. Everything tasted great! The french fries are to die for as well!

Our waiter was also nice enough to split the bill six ways, which most would cringe over. It does get cold out so be sure to bring a jacket if your sitting outside or the staff will provide you will blankets. They are very pet friendly.

    More like Maggie Bleh.

I had fond memories of this place, but I guess that was in a past lifetime. Literally.

We went there during Memorial Weekend 2010, because I wanted a nice view & decent food. Well, the nice view delivered... but the food?!?  Oh My God, WTH happened to this place?

As an appetizer, we orders the short ribs. More like, burnt chunks of fat. I couldn't believe these were considered ribs. They were bite-sized pieces of (mostly) fat. Yes, I shoudl've complained....had our waitress checked on us. Our water glasses sat empty for most of the meal.

My friend ordered the fish & chips...and felt sick later. I ordered some kind of chicken salad, which had maybe 2-3 strips of chicken on it. Wow, what a waste of an evening.

At least it was a nice evening for a walk, down by the marina. We even saw a seal (?) slowly swimming by the boats. Pretty cool...

If I could give Maggie's 3.5 stars I would, but I can't.  So, sorry.  Not quite 4 stars for me... maybe if I had gone to their happy hour.  Palisades' happy hour is so good; I don't know if I could make that choice!

This place reminds me of Anthony's Beach Cafe in my hometown of Edmonds.  Why? Family friendly, high school kids working in shorts and fleece vests, beautiful views of the marina and boats that I will never be able to afford, located under a nice restaurant (Palisades), seafood with affordable prices but not quite as nice as the upstairs restaurant.... and the list goes on.

The food is nothing to write home about but definitely hits the marina beach cafe craving.  Good chowder (mmm bacon, I love bacon), fish tacos were alright, the service was nice and accommodating (server messed up my sister's order and gave us a free dessert to make up for it).

Loved the "Dog Parking" signs next to the tables on the edge of the patio... if I had a dog, that would be extra incentive to take a walk to Magnolia for a sunset dinner.  Cute!

I've since been back for a repeat, but the first time I headed over to Maggie Bluffs in Magnolia, it was with some friends of mine for lunch after a very busy morning volunteering at NW Harvest. I'd never heard of this place before and I'm not totally sure who recommended it. It's near the marina next to the fancy-schmancy budget-busting Palisade. On a prior visit to Palisade this Fall, where I opted for the soup and salad to keep costs and calories down (still $30!), I didn't notice Maggie Bluffs at all. It's tucked away in the back and Palisade's presence dwarfs its sister restaurant. (Maggie Bluffs is almost as memorable as Palisade, but come on, the chocolate pots I had at Palisade totally trump fantastic french fries.) If money's no object, and I do mean a lot of it...try Palisade. But Maggie was more enjoyable for the price.

I love that this place has same view Palisade has, I'd take out-of-town visitors here for that alone. Regarding food, there are three things I remember best about Maggie Bluffs: the fries, the Bloody Marys, and the excellent service. I'd never had a Bloody Mary before, and I didn't actually order one--one friend, Kathleen, made me try hers, and it was fantastic even though I get grossed out by the idea of V8 or tomato juice. Ooh, girl, this drink was tasty. My friend Ally ordered fries as we sat down, and these were pretty perfect. And believe you me, I know my fries. I'd planned to get a salad with whatever I ordered, but after trying these, I had to switch to fries for my side. It's a crime to pass up a good batch.

Six out of eight of the women at my table were nursing hangovers that morning since it was the holiday party season. Some serious comfort food was in order and this place delivered. I recall an order for your average club sandwich, an unremarkable salad or two, my spicy chicken sandwich (pretty decent, decent enough to eat leftovers a couple of hours later) and lots of orders for chili. Judging from the reaction, chili seemed to be the best choice. If you check out other online reviews of Maggie Bluffs, you'll see references to fish and chips, or burgers, but I didn't notice that many people ordered those. I was too busy scarfing down my fries.

You would really only go here for the location. The hostess asked if we had a boat at the marina and then seemed to lose interest once we said we were renting a vacation place nearby. Guess only boat people are cool here.

Food was below average. Those standard cafeteria fries and sesame seed burger buns say it all. Something tasted funky with the chowder and the service was a bit slow, although helpful and friendly.

This place isn't like it use to be.

I use to crave the hot crab and artichoke sandwich. The last couple times I have ordered it I have been less than impressed. If I am correct I think they use to use Dungeness Crab but now they are using "red crab". I am not a big fan of the switch.

I was also really disappointed with my other favorite item on the menu....the Maytag Blue Cheese salad. It has entirely too much dressing on it to the point of being soggy/limp and the chopped up eggs were omitted. My dining companion ordered the same salad but hers had the eggs but still had the same lifeless lettuce due to over dressing the salad.

I am giving 2 stars for the good service and beautiful location on the shores of Elliott Bay.

Would not recommend.  Waited for almost an hour after ordering for our food.  When it did come, most had to be sent back because it was REALLY cold.  Even after all this, the food was mediocre at best and some was just plain uneatable.  The only saving grace was the waitress, who was cursed with a terrible kitchen and manager, but was still very nice.

Also, I have never seen so many tables get up and leave after ordering than I did last night.  At least 4 tables left after an hour of waiting.

Do not go here unless you want slow, cold, uneatable food.  Or if your wallet wants to feel violated in the process...
