3.5 stars, but I'll round up to be nice. I've stopped by this place a couple of times on the way back from Tahoe, and it's done pretty well for me. This is a small sit down family style mexican restaurant rather than a taqueria. Its got a comfortable atmosphere, very laid back, and the service is kind of slow to match, but then again, I think we caught them during lunch rush on a holiday (Prez Day), so that may account for it. The prices are a little on the high side (hardly any entrees less than $10) considering the quality, which is ok, not outstanding. It is a welcome stop on a road trip when you want to avoid fast food, though. I'd suggest the fajitas.

The former Magdaleno's did open again under the name Agave, but that has closed now too and a coffee shop is about to open there.
