Definitely Mom and Pop and definitely a good breakfast choice. Just when you think there is nothing on the Boston Post Road but Dunkin Donuts and McDonald's and more Dunkin Donuts and more McDonald's, you hit Madison.
It's cute little town, it has some parking, and it has this very basic breakfast and lunch only place. The coffee's not great, but it's not bad either. The bacon is crisp, the hard rolls are fresh. The service is excellent and attentive.
And while you're standing there, waiting for your order, in an early morning fog, getting a few stares from the odd mix of WASP-y and blue collar regulars, and sipping your coffee, you have a complete set of 4 vintage Wizard of Oz babydolls to keep you company.
If I were passing thru at lunchtime, I might try the liverwurst. They also have a promising-looking milkshake mixer.

Review from Karen N.

Had breakfast on a Saturday morning. Busy but still got a booth. Great diner decor, straight from the 1950s.
I had two eggs on toast, partner had pancakes. Eggs weren't cooked well (how do you mess up sunny side?) and pancakes were flat and yet tasted of too much (aluminium) baking soda.
Stoneware plates were not heated/hot so our meal was cold by the time it hit our table.
Coffee was regular diner fare, hot and not terrible.
Two stars for decor and reasonable price. They really need to find a new short order cook -- this place should be a home run with the whole retro crowd.
