Madame S has won the honor of being my new favorite fetish wear boutique. I've recently spent way too much money here and will be eating Top Ramen for a month, but at least I have my priorities straight, damn it!!! Thanks to the awesome staff at Madame S, I'll be strutting my stuff in some top quality leather that fits like a glove. Next time, I'll be more adventurous and head straight for the latex.

I just had my first visit to Madame S Boutique. After reading so many great reviews, I knew I would have a good time at the store. The store staffs' welcoming smiles just reassured my feelings.
"Madame S" part is small compared to the "Mr S" part, but I did adore their quality and edgy line up of dresses. I bought a really cute latex one piece, it's one of the kind piece - I'm sure I'll treasure it for a long time. My only complaint is that while the latex and corset collections are more than impressive, Madame S's leather/pleather clothing stocks are low.
Again, the staffs are very attentive and helpful. They can answer any questions you may have about handling latex and leather and etc items. They also have a solidly established online store, so that'll be convenient for someone like me who lives away from SF.
Reviewing Madame S may give some insight to my experience in, erm, personal matters. For that reason, I hesitated to review Madame S at first. Now, I'm giving in, because Madame S was too fantastic to *not* give kudos. In addition, maybe those who are too shy or embarrassed will feel more comfortable about it if they read my review. Call it my contribution in "sexual civic duty" if you will.
So what was my Madame S experience like?
There were some items that were on the list that were grabbed off shelves pretty quickly. But then it came time to look at corsets, and unfortunately for me, I didn't have much experience in corsets despite always having the desire to.
I CANNOT remember the woman's name that helped out, which I find incredibly upsetting because she was fantastic. I'm horrible with names though so it makes sense. Regardless, this woman was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and very sweet. I'd ask for her, or at least in my case since I cannot recall her name, look for her directly once I make a return visit.
Somehow, despite not being part of the original plan, my Madame S experience included trying on latex for the first time. While she was helping me with the latex, there was a bit of trouble getting one of the pieces over my behind. Mortified, I apologized about my derriere and it's size. Can you imagine standing there lathered up in lube as a woman is using some serious muscle to get latex OVER YOUR ASS? Naturally, I felt kind bad about it and embarrassed. But in response to my apology she brushed it off and said I had a beautiful body, she even added that I have a "Bettie Page" body. They say flattery can't get you everywhere, but hey, it helps with customer service and putting a customer at ease ;)
The experience continued with a search for corsets, which was one of the original reasons for going to Madame S. She helped me try on various cuts and styles of corsets to find the one that was best for my body. I'm not sure if they have a policy for it or not, but they even allowed the one that would be seeing me in said corset to stay IN the dressing room to check things out for himself. It's highly doubtful that you can get away with any public shenanigans so don't try to pull that one kids (no matter how distracted you may get, because believe me, you're going to get distracted). Still, it's nice that he was able to stay in the dressing room because he would be the one seeing it anyway. If he didn't like whatever I was wearing, what's the point? It was also important that he stayed because the woman also gave him a run down in corset lacing. Talk about above and beyond helpful. FYI - there are few things hotter than an attractive man lacing you in to a corset. Yum!
Even the woman at the register was very helpful and friendly. I'd imagine that if you were a bit shy about coming in to a store like Madame S, these folks will make you incredibly comfortable.
I'd say the only down side MIGHT be the price. Madame S is by no means cheap. However, the pieces here are very well made and HIGH quality so there is a reason for those prices! I'm pretty sure the corset, leather cuffs and the stripper heels (yes, the heels are meant for strippers, HA, which means they are pretty damned comfortable) are going to last for QUITE some time, despite regular use.
And so, 5-stars all the way!

I consider the selection at Madame S far more stylish than any other fetish retailer's womenswear offerings. This kind of quality doesn't come cheap, though.
But I got a good deal on my new favorite toy of all time: the bell-clamp for wearing downstairs. Yummy!
Modeled for Madame S at the Queen of Hearts ball and these people are sooo friendly! I loved it, had so much fun and although I've never worn latex till that day... I had so much fun getting lubed up to put it on and make it shine! Love the shoes! Definitely an interesting experience!
And of course, the guys side of the store is even funner! =)

I've been a big fan of Madam S for years. Purchased many quality items such as fetish leather boots, leather corsets and a few select latex items. I don't know the gals names, but they've all been very delightful, playful and helpful.

About 6 months ago, I was more than a little nervous about paying a visit to Madame S.
The first time I went, I was sweating bullets...before I had even squeezed myself into any latex.
So that's what we came, ha, for...latex.
With Jen's amazing assistance, I tried on a couple of dresses. And while I liked the style of the basic mini dress, I wasn't crazy about latex. It didn't really make me feel sexy, and Madame S is all about sexy, so I rethought my approach.
I loved the shape of the dress and inquired about whether they could custom make the same style of dress, only in leather.
I consulted with the talented Skeeter (their custom leather goddess) and we came up with a really exciting design, one that can be worn anywhere. It's super sexy and totally 'naughty party' appropriate, but can also be worn on a regular night out...or an art opening, etc.
I do like to tart it up for the art openings, oh my!
Skeeter made me a fabulous dress and Michael did a great job with the tailoring, it fits perfectly. Only thing to be aware of, you might have to prompt Miss Skeeter every now and then, she's an extremely busy lady and it's good for her to be aware of your schedule as she gets caught up in many projects.
Overall, I was very pleased with my hot dress. If you become a regular at my art events, you might just get to see it in person. *wink*

Hi everyone. This is Richard Hunter, owner of Mr. S Leather and our sister store Madame-S. I happened to notice a review further down the list of our Madame-S store from someone named "Iolanthe D." It was written on Sept. 03, 2007. She is slamming the store as not being what she expects from us. Then the next day on Sept. 04, 2007... she writes the following review and post it up on the Mr. S Leather review area. I copied it below..... Our same workshops here in San Francisco makes all the leather and latex clothing for Both Mr. S and Madame-S. so I find what the reviewer saying to be somewhat strange. We can't please everyone of course, we try though, but we do listen and it seems most all our customers are pretty happy what they find here.

Hands down the only place to buy everything your heart and naughty little mind desires. Excellent quality, my oldest leather cuffs from them are over 6 years old and in great shape.
Don't be intimidated, the staff is great and can set you at ease but won't pull their punches by pretending this isn't about sex.
Please don't get into that whole "gay leather thing can I take my guy here" stuff just yet. This is a professional retail operation with a staff who is incredibly dedicated & knowledgeable about their products who are happy to answer your questions. They're adept at dealing with boys ni the store with girls, boys who dress like girls, girls who drag like boys, and we straight ladies who don't always act like sugar and spice and treat every boy nice.

Changing review to reflect new things:
I've added a star - I have experienced better in many cities and countries, but it's improving. Madame S has gotten better over time but I feel they sometimes don't understand their patrons where on the Mister S side they completely know their client base!
I still say 5 stars Mister S as a separately identified store, thus my difference in reviews.
The website still leaves something to be desired. A wish list that works would be a HUGE improvement!
One: I reviewed Mr. S positively and Madame S differently because they are billed as different stores and have two completely different "feels". They have always made the stores and the websites seem different - thus, I review them differently.
I love Mr. S and was disappointed in Madame S more than once, I was not just slamming, this is a SERIOUS review by someone who is a fetishist and shops all over the world in these stores. I know Madame can be better, but I don't think they are "bad". The customer service is good.
Two: I have been back twice since my review and the selection has been WAY better on the racks an it is much more attractive in the store.
Three: Obviously they have changed management on the MADAME side AND IT SHOWS. There is a lot more care and quality in the appearance and arrangement of the space. The people working there are a LOT more friendly.
Edited my earlier review to keep some sections in that still stand. Overall, you should patronize the store - by all means. I still prefer to shop on the "Mister" side for my BDSM gear and tend to think of Madame as an after thought, mostly because it over focuses on FASHION because "we're girls" when many of us also like the basics. More on that below....

With experiences in NYC, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Toronto fetish stores, I'm seeking something focused and higher end locally. I can admit to that. Still, one would think that a boutique attached to the store sporting the best gear in the business in the "fetish capital of the world" would *not* feel like a Suicide Girls clothing swap ran headlong into a fetish model's portfolio.
*edited to add* The last two times I have been there there was a LOT more to offer the discerning fetishist but still not a lot in the way of basic latex. The leather was MUCH better and I really appreciated that!
There is not a lot for the person who also wants some clean, hot, even modern (does not have to be old school) fetish pieces. The pewter, the pink, the chains, the flowers, the ruffles, the snaps... they're all nice but they miss something many latex fetish people are into: Clean, simple, and COVERAGE. I would love a dress with long sleeves. If not on their racks, I would love to know I could order this from my local store, of people I WANT to support.
Madame's shoe selection is deplorable and feels set at the highest price point for these non-leather atrocities called "boots" and "pumps". Sadly, this is not only the store's fault. They are not the only store in SF with this problem. However, they are the only ones with 'Boutique' in the title and thus, it's a glaring issue. Some real attention could be paid to this dilemma.
There are no "we can order these for you" photos or books available (for shoes or clothes). I know it can be a challenge to stock the higher end stuff because of the expense, we boot and shoe fetish people know about waiting. Having the option to be measured for something and go through the Madame store would be good for the store and the patron. This would give a more boutique experience - the waiting - and there are several purveyors of higher end boots/shoes and oddities who will take one off orders, I know because I have to find them on the internet because they don't exist in local stores.
It is rarely easy to find basic latex items here. Oh sure, you can get the "couture" latex but odds are that if you are looking for something that doesn't assume cute is part of your style, it is often not on the rack nor offered although I imagine if Madame makes their own latex. I would dearly love some basic old latex and some cute add-on items to dress them up or wear sometimes with the cleaner, black pieces. But there are a lot of things missing - bodies, hot pants that aren't frilly or cute, no custom measured cat suits, no long sleeves, no high necks
Basically, now that they have the store looking better and easier to shop - I really believe they could do themselves a WORLD of good by adding some custom measured cat suits and things you can't get elsewhere in the city. It would be an as ordered thing, which they would not have to stock so good for the retailer and the shopper.
Either way, I feel that Madame has made strides and I hope they keep working on it. I think there is a lot of option here for a great store that is as good to shop as the Mister side!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our store. However, I need to correct you on a few things.
Madame S and Mr. S makes all their leather and latex clothing, including all of their bondage equipment.
The women's leather clothing that we have on the racks for sale range from size 0 to a size 30
The women's latex clothing that we have on the racks for sale range from Extra Small to a XXX Large
The women's corsets that we sell here in the store range from size 18 to size 36
The buy in items from our venders that we have here in the store range from Extra Small too XXX Large.
Since we make all our clothing here in San Francisco, right in the back of the store, we have seamstresses here at the store available to measure you at the drop of a hat and provide you with "Made to Measure" fetish wear. We do not discriminate, we want everyone to feel hot and sexy in our clothing.
I would ask you to please let me know who told you we didn't carry your size and never intended too in the future and I will make sure that person is corrected. It would be odd that they would say that considering our racks are full of clothing for full figured women.
But as you can see from the above information, this is not the case. I personally order the clothing for the store and have for the last 4 years, and I can assure you we have clothing that will fit you. I invite you to come down to the store, and maybe together we can find something that will make you feel even more sexy and beautiful than you already are.

Ahh... if only all little blonde girls were as lucky as me to be in a laytex fashion show!! I was scared, real scared when I walked into the door and saw the clothes because my inner voice was telling me I wouldnt look good in them!. Im a curvy model, ( which means Im a size 2 with an ass, so sad the industry is!) and was scared when I recieved some clothes to put on but like I said, was nervous my ass would look huge. You have to "lube" yourself to get into.. which is kinda hot...and finally, a GORGEOUS long red dress was brought into the changing room. Every curve of my body was screaming for attention and love, while every bulge was nicely shoved and sucked into all the right places. I have NEVER felt sexier in my life.. too bad it cost hundreds.. but the ARTISTIC TALENT of these designers is incredible. Everyone is super nice and gorgeous BTW.... I got a gift certificate for being in the show.. not enough for the dress, but enough for a dildo :)

The clothes here are really sexy! And if I were a size 6 I would be very happy in this store. However, it is difficult to find clothes in here that fit my skinny boyfriend much less me. (He wears size 10 latex skirts.) While Mr. S has latex in sizes that might fit a typical American, Madame S is very skinny-girl-centric. There is not an item in there that would fit over my butt much less my disproportionately-large-even-for-a-chubby-girl boobs!
This is San Francisco, and a fetish clothing store in San Francisco. Surely you must attend fetish events and notice that at the frequent events, the percentage of big girls in fetish gear is pretty high. Should all of us be required to purchase custom latex because the main store that sells latex clothing isn't interested in selling clothes in double digits? (When I say not interested, I say that based on me asking the sales people if they have anything that might fit me or anything else that might fit my skinny boyfriend or if they forsee having anything like that in the future.)
I'm sure that this store is great for people who come from out of town for a fetish ball and for people who are petite and for people who really want custom latex, but the reality is that there are a lot of chubs and lots of cross-dressing men in the fetish scene in San Francisco and ignoring those markets makes this store seem very fetish tourist. I expect more from the sister store to Mr. S.
I don't even go into this store anymore. They have told me that they won't be carrying my size and going in will just let me see all the beautiful things that I can't buy. I don't feel the need to torture myself in that particular way, thanks.

Madame S is my favorite store for fetish gear. They carry a lot of high-quality products (Puimond corsets, Sonny Black furniture, etc.) Whatever your fetish, I'm sure they can cater to it. Though they can get a bit pricey, they do carry some affordable stuff. So, unless you're ridiculously cheap, you can probably find an outfit within your budget.
I've always received great service here. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Definitely a fun place to shop.
Only downside is, they don't carry shoes in size 5, but there's always Foot Worship.

Okay, not sure if this ought be a review for Mr S or Madame S. They're kinda Siamese twins, in the same building and joined at the hip, and I bought stuff at both.
Anyway, the boys and girls at Madame and Mr S are super nice, super helpful, and the range they are selling is one of the best I've seen. If leather and metal and latex and silicon is your thing, or even if you just want to get a few ideas, this is perfect.
A word about prices - they may seem steep, but they're actually very competitive for the type of thing they're selling. This stuff ain't cheap, and if you've spent the last few years in Sydney, as I have, being gouged by Sax and House of Fetish, you wouldn't be complaining. AND everything is good quality, and you're being helped by people who have not a trace of attitude but a hell of a lot of knowledge.
This place made me happy.

I bought a corset here from a wonderful, helpful, really hot young woman. Everyone is always very attentive and helpful despite the fact that I'm usually the least interesting-looking person in the shop.
I used to be bigger and I had a similar experience to Jen's, although there were always a few good things that fit (corsets were one). This was when the Madame S just opened (The Mr. S store referred me to Madame S as soon as it opened.) I've lost weight so it isn't currently as much of an issue, but I am glad to read that Paige is ordering bigger sizes, if for no other reason than that bigger women in fetish gear are SO sexy!
Ummmm....yeah. If you don't know what this place is then don't ask. Great fun for everyone. So many possibilities. Helpful staff, and great gifts for the whole family...hahaha. ;) If you have a fetish, they have something to assist....

I had such a great experience at Madame S the other day! I RARELY am trying to look sexy anymore but on that special occasion that I do want to turn heads, I will most certainly go back to Madame S for well made (my whole outfit was made in the USA), beautiful, sexy girlthings. Fear not squeamish folks, the super kinky shit is in the back room -- upon first entrance, all you see are gorgeous brocade corsets and, when I went, an equally gorgeous, petite salesgirl who enthusiastically celebrated and facilitated my transformation from dowdy wifey to hot mama. Every SF girl should make a pilgrimage to Madame S at least once.

The fetish scene in SF is pretty quiet. When will the party year be filled with huge fetish bashes all year long like in Europe. Ah well, we can all dream.
I like taking curious friends here to check out the outfits and watch the bug bite them. Everyone looks sexy with a second skin. I brainstorm shoot ideas here too. And upstairs is a great selection of BDSM toys for the more adventurous.
Be prepared for high price tags tho. Some items, especially the exquisite corsets, can reach towards half a grand. Be sure your significant other appreciates kink just as much as you do before you buy a gift that might forever hang in the closet.

The best fetish shop in town. Great art covers the walls, anything and everything you need or didn't realize you needed can be found here.
i remember distinctly the feeling of having my ribs crushed in on themselves, being put up against a wall, being pulled and pushed and squeezed, and then being whipped around only to find that... i wasn't being raped, i was being fitted for a $400 corset and when i turned around i was in shock at how frickin hot it was. granted, $400 was out of my budget, but i'd go back just for that experience again.
