My 15" Macbook Pro was suddenly experiencing major graphic/freezing/start-up problems and wouldn't boot past the start-up screen. I couldn't access any part of my computer to back up data before I could take it in to the Apple Store. I thought my laptop was D.O.A. and would have to buy a new Macbook Pro (which really isnt in my budget at the moment). I sent John, the Mac Fixer, a slightly panicked email asking for help. He was very quick to reply, and let me know that some Macbook Pro's have a known problem with the logic board/video card, and it should be fixed for free at the Apple Store even though it is out of warranty. I brought my laptop in the next morning, and sure enough, Apple is fixing it for free. So, thank you John, for saving me over $1500 which I would have wasted on a new laptop!

I lived in Boston for a few years, and needed help with several of my Macs that were critical to my multi-media production company. Got lucky and found out about MacFixer. Contacted John over there, and he was on the ball from the start. I sent him a list of things needed to be done, from the simple to the vague and complex. We set a time, he came to my office, and he got everything done quickly and thoroughly. John is direct about what is required, what he'll be doing, how long it will take, and the cost. The pricing is reasonable, and the work is done all the way until you're satisfied. I live in Brooklyn now, and wish MacFixer were here to help me when I'm in need. If I have any big jobs to be done, I'd even consider paying for him to come down to NYC to do it!

Meet the Business Owner: John M.
My name is John Masone and I am the Owner and Sole Proprietor of MacFixer. I've been a Mac user since I was a kid. When I got older, I had Macs all over the place. Small servers, old laptops, PowerMacs, etc. One day it hit me, this is what I should be doing! MacFixer was born and we've been supporting the Greater Boston Mac Community every since.
