I sort of accidentally ended up here for St. Patrick's Day this year and boy, was I glad I did?
I got to avoid the 'plastic Irish' spilling out of every faux Irish bar in the city, receive excellent service from the Manager, Bethany (who also books bands for the excellent music venue upstairs), and generally have a blast with some locals.
The atmosphere is cosy and intimate and I'd definitely take a date here (on non-drinking holidays) for some good beer and fried food (if she was so inclined.)
If you go, say 'hi' to Bethany for me.
I enjoy a few drinks here when I first get into the village on occasion. Friendly feel and the bar tending ladies are super cool. I was here on Halloween for a few vodka-tonics, strong vodka tonics I'll add. The decor was great and the girls were totally decked out in blood and gore. Not a bad soundtrack either.
Why even bother serving food. Really?
Fun little bar downstairs from a Marion's restaurant. Great happy hour deals, not too crowded, so good place for a quiet drink or even a small group. Nice and simple, just like a low-key bar should be!
Cute lil' bar. One of many stops on Halloween, Nicely decorated & good sangria!
Ive never been here...but rhea and bethany are my friggin heros. much love from the 540 Family goes out to our sister bar in the NYC.
It's nothing special. It's a bar with food, maybe 4 kinds of wine, no special cocktails and it's kind of grimy. If it was super cheap I could see a draw, but it's not. The bartender was friendly, that's why they got 2 stars instead of 1.
