This is a great 24/7 after-clubbing/drunk-food /anti-hangover/ sober-up-before-I-drive-home diner.
The wait staff is very pleasant and will put up with you and your obnoxious drunken friends. I honestly don't know how they do it. I've come here numerous nights and I don't know how on earth no one has ever been kicked out.
The food is also delicious and affordable.
Hats off to the Lyric Diner staff. They earned these 5 stars. -

Our local Diner.
Pros: 24/7. Cheap. Reasonable authentic vibe. Generous portions. Huge menu.
Cons: pretty rude, unhappy staff. Especially in evening. Quality of ingredients.
Bluebell Cafe is nicer, fresher. Sunflower diner 24/7 and friendly. -

The first time I went to this diner, it was a total disaster. My food was lousy and the place was unclean. I needed dinner one night and now Cosmo's Diner is gone. I was desperate and came back to this place.
I've gone back twice now. It must've done a complete 360 because the food is better and the place is cleaner. It's standard diner fare and nothing to write home about. But if you need solid eats, this is a place to go to. -

ANNANDALE, NY
I was looking around Gramercy Park for a late night dinner. Being alone, I wanted to go somewhere that wasn't dark and seedy. I entered after a bunch of kids coming in to use the ATM, so the waiter didn't get my message right away that I was dining alone. After he got that message, I was sat immediately. The waiter seemed a bit anxious while I was deciding what to order. I decided to get the gyro sandwich with Greek salad and fries for $10.25.
Everything was delicious! I ate all of the gyro and accompanying yogurt sauce. There is olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table so you can dress your salads as you wish. The veggies in the salad were crisp and fresh, as were the fries. Vanilla egg cream was just average, but I guess that's just the nature of the egg cream. Water was refilled regularly.
The guy who was ringing me up didn't ask me how the food was, I just paid and left without much of a word.
Tip: they take credit cards but only for orders over $10. Luckily, the combos on the menu are priced slightly over $10, so you don't feel like you're ordering extra food for nothing. -

I would give this joint 0 stars if it was an option.
On New Years Day I ordered a grilled swiss cheese on rye with tomato, and a vanilla milkshake (I was hungover - don't judge). Being that I was hungover, I wanted my food in a timely manner.
After 60 minutes of me patiently waiting, I called, and they still hadn't left. When they finally arrived after nearly an hour and a half they delivered the wrong order - my friends turkey club and fries came, but I received a Grilled American Cheese and blubbery diner ham on white bread. I'm sorry but how the H do you F up a Grilled cheese??? At least I had my milkshake, but after a few sips it tasted totally freezer burnt. Anyway - I politely called and explained their mix-up. They kindly righted their wrong and delivered me a new sandwich, and an apology cookie, only for me to discover they F'ed it up again?!? I mean really?
At that point, the soggy melted american on bread (it wasn't even grilled) was not even worth it. I called, and explained my american cheese allergy, and they dutifully refunded me.
Ay dios mio - at least I got an apology cookie out of it. Happy New Year! -

I think I came here on a good night. LOL. Compared to other Yelpers, my server seemed quite happy. He was singing along to the radio and was getting other patrons to do the same. :)
Paul H. and I decided to split a Belgium waffle. I asked for 1/2 strawberries and 1/2 blueberries. Apparently it costs an extra dollar for that. No problem since Paul's NYU discount took care of it. Winning. ;)
I just wished there was whipped cream to go with the waffles. I thought that was standard for Belgium waffles.
Altogether, this place isn't bad for a post dinner snack. :)Listed in: Tiffany and Paul's Adventures!

Review from Thomas A.
I personally think this place is wack but my gf enjoyed her herb roasted chicken that was part of their early bird special. The service here is slow and lacking. They never refilled my water, and they took forever to take our order. In addition, they took forever to refill our coffee cups as well as were no where to be seen when it was time for my gf's dessert portion of her meal.
EPIC FAIL!
I had the curly fries with cheese. I expected cheese sauce on top of my fries but i think they only used 2 slices of american cheese. It was like WACK. The fries were good, but the cheese addition was not worth the extra $$$.
The herb chicken was moist and yummy. I'll admit that. The early bird special also came with a soup, it was supposed to come with a salad but it never came...guess they forgot about it. It came with the entree, a side dish (she ordered broccoli, which was like a small piece of steamed broccoli that looked wack pitiful), and a dessert.
The jello which took forever to come was topped with whip cream and was decent.
Will i come back here? Heck no. Service was piss poor and the food was filled with mixed reviews....avoid avoid avoid. -

So apparently everybody thinks this place sucks. I can't agree more! The staff is rude and stupid. They completely screwed up my order. I called to let them know they forgot various items. The food never came. I called and told them to refund me instead. I was very clear about that. Instead they deliver the items a considerable time later, after midnight, waking me up. When I called to complain, they couldn't care less and somehow said it was my fault. They were so condescending.
Also, if you aren't disgusted by the food, you have a serious problem. -

After a long day of moving into my apartment, my friend and I looked around for a decent, late night place. Most places in the neighborhood were closed, but Lyric Diner was opened and looked reasonable. Plus, we wanted fattening diner food.
I ordered the Russian Deluxe Burger. There was a variety of burgers - French, Russian, Italian, etc. I thought they put the dressing on the burger and made it a little special, but no. It was just a regular hamburger with a side of Russian dressing. (I'm sure French would just have French dressing, same for Italian, etc.) But whatever. It was great.
The french fries and pickles were great! Both were nice and thick.
The service was bad, but if you raise your hand or stare them down, they come to you. I sort of want to return drunk just to truly enjoy late night fattening diner food. -

Run away. Now. Cosmos Diner and Sunflower Diner are each about 2-4 blocks away, and either is a far better choice.
The food at Lyric is passably good, but the service is abysmal. At best, I've eaten here and never received so much as a smile. At worst: I came one Sunday afternoon for brunch, planning to have a meal which included a glass of orange juice. Waitress came; juice ordered. When it came time to order the entree, I was told "Oh, that isn't the brunch juice. I'll have to charge you for it.". After my refusal to pay for two juices and various threats of calling the police, the manager finally told her to drop it. No apologies to me.
Lyric basically survives on the proximity to the School of Visual Arts and the Police Academy. In a neighborhood with much better choices, there is no reason to eat here. -

The chicken fingers and curly used to be 5 starts from 2005-2008. But, I recently ordered from this restaurant (i moved back into the hood) and they are no longer top notch. Too bad because I always used to recommend this place. Now, its only average.

Review from Lise K.
New York, NY
While preparing this review I found myself wondering if I should add a star because the waiter did not punch my best friend or I in the face, even though he looked like he wanted to.
I then realized that although I do appreciate not having been punched, it's not a situation that probably earns an extra star but instead, might be reflective of the service of the restaurant.
Upon being seated we were approached within a few minutes by a waiter who was ready to take our order. Unfortunately between the menu being rather large (also a bit disorganized) and chatting, we didn't know what we were getting yet. Within a span of the next seven minutes we were approached three more times, twice by different waiters and once more by the first. Between questions about the menu* and trying to decide what to eat, we still weren't ready to order. While the restaurant wasn't very busy, the waiter that had approached us twice seemed really, really irritated that we weren't prepared to order. But, as stated above, we were not punched.
After deciding what to order, the food was prepared fairly quickly and arrived hot and delicious-looking. I'd ordered a burger with bacon and avocado and my friend ordered a veggie burger. We both decided to "deluxe" our meals for a few extra bucks (meaning we got lettuce, tomato and fries).
The. Fries. Were. Delicious. Golden, crispy, hot. All the adjectives that good fries should be. I contemplated ordering a side order of them just to prolong the delicious-ness. But that would be kind of gross and I'd look like a pig (not that I usually let that stop me).
The burger was good, it tasted way better than it looked. The avocado was fresh and there was a generous amount of it. The ketchup bottle on the table was also full, which is definitely a plus.
The service while unfriendly was efficient and prompt. Our water glasses were refilled without us asking and our plates were cleared soon after we were done.
In the end, my food was good, the place was clean and the prices were reasonable. I'll take that!
*Q: Is breakfast served all day? It is.
Q: Is the bean soup vegetarian? It is not. It is made with chicken stock. -
Review from Nina L.
So I had to write a review update on Lyric because I feel like I short changed it in my previous review. There a lot of low/negative reviews on this place, I'm not sure if it's because people visit here once and don't like it or are generally dissatisfied with the food on a regular basis.
If you're going to come here I'd definitely go with breakfast. Sandwiches and other things usually leave a bit to be desired unless you go with the good greasy foods like chicken fingers or wings, grilled cheese, fries, onion rings. Actually their grilled cheese is pretty top notch. Their chicken noodle soup, or chicken orzo or chicken spaghetti always hits the spot when your in the mood as well. And if you are into the mystery of the situation you really never know what pasta is going to be in that soup.
I feel like Lyric deserves some credit for always being open and serving pretty fresh and hot food. The places always seems warm and cozy at night and the service can be fun when you get to know the staff a bit.
Become a regular, bond with the crazies and eat decent diner fair.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Sara U.
I will preface this review by stating (proudly of course) that I was born and raised in jersey, so it automatically makes me practically an expert dinerologist (yup I just made that up now). I love diners. I've probably been to more than you have, so this is clearly an educated and professional review.
I came here for 'brunch' hour on Sunday with my boyfriend and my two friends. My friends were seeing my apartment for the first time so I figured I'd bring them somewhere only fellow jerseyans consider classy, and that's a diner. Plus, I like the option of breakfast, lunch, or dinner at any time (I'm not a breakfast person and it saddens me that on Sundays you can only find brunch menus).
It was packed, which is understandable. However, there is little space to stand and wait, and the poor couple in front of us actually got shafted when another couple came in and were seated immediately. That's minus a star in my book - pay attention to your customers and know who has been waiting longer. We finally got seated in a booth big enough for 2 people. I wasn't sure if my boyfriend was purposely playing footsie with my friend, or just that we literally were all rubbing knees the whole time. Pretty sure it's the latter. Better be.
The food - very good. I got grilled cheese and french fries. Grilled cheese may very well be one of my favorite foods (again - I know i'm classy), and you'd think to yourself 'who can screw up grilled cheese' but you'd be surprised (see Speedy's review). My grilled cheese was rather good, and I was satisfied. However, the real winner was the towering side of fries. They were very good. So if you go, get something where you can have fries on the side.
The service - minus a 2nd star (hence why we are at 3 stars). Similar to another reviewer, please don't clean the floors right next to me while I'm eating. It smells bad, and you stepped on my foot 2 times. Those were new boots. Now with footprints on them. Also, you hit me in the arm with the broom. 1 time, true. But enough to hurt a little bit.
So go for the food... not the ambiance. As if you actually thought you'd be getting that there. -

Local Jerks. Used to be a good place. I've lived in the neighborhood for over 10 years. Management on the phone used to know my orders by heart and gave me great service. One day, one of their delivery guys accidentally ran over my small dog on his bike, he was going the wrong way, and my dog lived. She had vet bills, suddenly the previously friendly management had no idea who I was, gave me the run around and couldn't give me the time of day. I haven't give them the time of day since.

Avoid at all costs. They do not make you feel welcome at all. The service was terrible. We went there Sunday night and there was like 4 people there and they took 30 minutes to bring the food.
The food was average, but what made the experience terrible was the way we were treated by the old grumpy manager/boss of the diner. We went to pay and I showed him my NYU id card to get the 10% discount and he grabbed it from me and starts sliding the card. I said that is my student id card. He says "I see that" very snobbishly and then I tell him I don't want to pay with that and he says "give me your credit card". I say I want to pay cash and he says again very rudely "give me $21". He doesn't even say thank you or even look at us and he hands me my change and starts counting money. We would have honestly returned regularly to this diner if we were treated kindly but there is no way in hell I will return with the way we were treated. The employees didn't seem happy either probably due to the management. It was a gloomy diner and that old guy needs to be bitch slapped and learn to appreciate his customers who are paying $. -

As an SVA graduate, I can't help but say i love this place. Brings back memories of school and amazing breakfast at any hour of the day. Nothing fancy, order eggs and you'll be happy.
Early morning specials are a great deal, and if you still have your beaten up student ID, you'll practically eat for free. -

Manhattan, NY
This place really needs to hire new staff. They also need to learn that cleaning the floors with extremely strong detergent while customers are eating is not OK. The decor is tacky, and there's always the hint of something 'un-clean' about it.
But I always end up here very late at night, after a cram session at the library. Why? Because the diner food really is above average. It is better diner food than most I've had, and the fries are scrumptious.
Oh, how I'd like to go on a withdrawal from this place, but I just can't seem to tear myself away. Even if the waiters don't treat me like a paying customer. -
Review from Kristen F.
New York, NY
No matter how many times I come back here and always hope it will be better, it never is. Let's just say this is an easy place to go to when you are trying to get over that hangover from the night before, or have the drunchies.
Since I've been here multiple times, I'll just hone in on my last experience. I came here late one night after seeing a broadway show knowing it was going to be open. It was pretty bare in there except for about 3-4 tables of people. When we sat down, the waiter prompted us to order before we really got a look at the menu. When we figured it out, we tried to signal him, but he never came over to help us. After 10 minutes of blank stares, another waiter came up to us and took our order.
My grilled california wrap was satisfying and I have to say the fries were quite delicious. But that seemed to be the only good part of the experience. Our water was never replenished and the next time our waiter came back was when he was giving us the check. Granted it was 12:00am so you would think the service would only be the best, since they had about 3 waiters for 5 tables.
Now, I'm not sure how many of you are sports fans but the NBA finals were on that night between Lakers and Celtics and game 4 was going on and definitely on the last quarter. Ok, let me tell you what the walk was getting to Lyric Diner; every bar and restaurant had the game on with fans spewing onto the streets. Now, let me tell you what Lyric was playing-- the rerun of the Yankees game from that day. I'm sorry, but this just placed the cherry on top of the sundae of rage that was ensuing from this experience as well as the rest.
From the bored faces and disinterest the waiters give you to the slow service with minimal check ups to replenish your drinks, I'd say that I'll probably not be a returning customer.
But hey, if you want to try it out because its open and in the area, give it a go. Maybe you'll catch them on a good day when one of the waiters isn't sleeping in a booth by the window while the other waiters are just hanging out. -
Review from Kenny M.

Despite all the criticism it's getting about having bad service and dirty tables, The Lyric Diner isn't as bad as your Yelp peers would want you to think. Of course it's different on a case by case basis. But if that's the case, then I must have been lucky quite a number of times.
Their ham/pepper/onion omelette was well prepared. With a side of hash browns and a cup of coffee, breakfast can't go wrong. As for lunch, their burgers were somewhat bland, but nonetheless decent. The fries were golden and crispy, just the way they should be. When I dined with my friend, he ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, and that too was not too shabby.
All in all, the food is decent, the prices are relatively cheap and the wait isn't too long. As for waiter service, it all boils down to luck. -

SETTING: Trio for dinner
VENUE: Many windows, faces west = nice daylight.
DECOR: Booths and deuces & four-tops. Mirrored walls add to the effect.
CUISINE: Diner fair with a Greek influence.
Deluxe grilled cheese with a slice of the largest tomato I have ever seen.
Fabulous, very crunchy (not burnt though) fries.
Carrot Cake worth its name. I spotted it in the glass case on the way in and knew I had to have it. Split-able and it's sizeable and the cream cheese frosting is more than any one person needs. Or, live a little and take it all for yourself.
Amigos' moussaka and wrap were noted as passable to yumyum.
SERVICE: Simple but friendly, including suggestions and happily took our photo for us, without even being asked.
VERDICT: When in Rome....Listed in: When in Rome... (AKA: Not DC)

The service may not be the best, but WHO CARES I didn't come there for that. I came there for good drunk diner food. And that's what I got. If you have a sweet tooth, get the apple pie with ice cream, you will NOT regret it. It's absolutely amazing. Pretty much everything on the menu is good.

Frugal people often justify withholding tips with the argument/belief that it will encourage better service. Well, allow me to debunk that theory.
When my friend took me to this place for lunch, she told me of how the few times she had been here with her friends, they were served by the same rude waiter. He had been repeatedly snarky towards them, so that they didn't even bother to ever leave a tip.
She wasn't kidding. The guy was obnoxious and totally unfit as a server. I seriously wonder, does this guy not need to eat or pay rent? Obviously, not badly enough.
So, that's my story for this place.
Oh, and the food? I ordered some lunch special which ended up being a pasta dish with cheese, ham and peas. It looked (and tasted) like it came from a can. 'Nuff said. -

Somehow at 845am on this particular DREARY and WET and WINDY Saturday morning, I partook in my "trek of shame" up to Lyric Diner to meet Nic B.
Alllllls I got to say is that Nic B is a godsend. And the free coffee refills from Lyric Diner are too.
We were instructed to sit anywhere we wanted- the place was dead... because let's face it, who the eff would be up this early on a Saturday anyway? Oh wait, me. and Nic B.
We opted for a booth wayyyy in the back, because she and I both knew we would be exchanging sexytime stories- material not suitable for the hypothetical families that may lurk at Lyric during optimal brunch time.
We did get scolded quite a few times by the servers. I was convinced they were not at all humored by my sexytime stories. But I didn't care. I mean do I ever? While Nic B got like 4-5 coffee refills, I think I got 3 refills and a ginormous plain bagel toasted with butter. Our bill came to $4.50. Amazing.
I'm sure the 3 musketeers (aka Me, Nic B and Karen F) will make many more guest appearances at this joint considering it's only blocks away from both their apartments.
It's good to know that Lyric is there to save a girl's life after a night from Hell. It's also good to know that New York diners are still cheap as hell and full of sassy attitude. Makes NYC feel like home, sweet home. -
Review from Nicole A.
The Lyric Diner is clean and fine.
I have never been served so many coffee refills in my life. I am pretty sure this is the reason why I've had crazy eyes all day long.
The waitresses?
While my coffee partner and I were discussing hilarious stories, all the way in the back, away from small children, I yelled out "I'm ready!" as part of the story. The waitress came over and said "What do you want?" and I said "No, it was just part of the story, I'm sorry," and she said "Next time don't yell out that you're ready, if you're not."
Pardon me. -
Review from Mandy G.
New York, NY
They should rename this place "Three Times Diner", because you have to ask for everything three times. Splenda for coffee, coffee refills, the complimentary fruit that was supposed to come with my boyfriend's brunch. They had to recook my omelette three times because the first one was wrong, the second one apparently proved that their menu Sicilian Omelette and their brunch Sicilian Omelette have different ingredients, and the waitress presumed to argue with us three times explaining why everything was not her fault. By the time we asked for the manager, it took about three minutes longer than it should have for him to come over and hear our concerns about a ruined meal that should not be charging us in full.
Clueless, and, quite frankly, pathetic spot. Shame for all the SVA students keeping this place in business. Between the overly-hasty staff (i.e. asking a patron next to us what she wants before even being given a menu), the staff arguing on the floor, and the general swagger, this place shouldn't be open to customers. Get it together. -
Review from Kate F.
Add Lyric Diner to the list of places I have been because Blackberry Google Maps told me to. This is what I have come to. I wonder, what would become of me if I existed in a world where I could not do a search of "my location" for "diner" and have a lil blue beacon point me in the right direction an avenue and a block away.
In NoHo (I looked it up, these newly classified minihoods confuse moi) one can go very wrong and easily walk for blocks and blocks without seeing anything but a bodega and a pub. Lyric, though basic, had enough high points to make me say yet another silent prayer of thanks for Google Maps.
White haired server with tie, a distracted yet exasperated look, and a pencil behind his ear? Check.
Very very gooey mozzarella sticks with very very tasty marinara? Check.
Excellently soft yet crispy waffle? Check.
Crappy too soft veggie burger with odd tasting mushrooms, small side of fries and no pickle? Check.
Choice of waffle, sweet potato, curly or regular french fries? Check.
If I lived within 2 blocks I'd end up here all the time, but since I don't it will probably be a year or more until I find myself back here. But it is always handy to know that next time I'm on the east side there is a 24 hour serviceable diner that delivers. Handy spots like this are a mainstay of NYC. -

I went here about 2AM on a Sunday morning and it was a lively place. Classic interior and decor (minus the LCD TVs on the one of the load bearing columns). I've been too quite a few diners over the past year (mostly in Philadelphia and S. NJ) and this place was... expensive. I guess that just NYC for you, but I was kind of taken aback at the prices for most of the menu.
You can expect to see d00dz, ladies in party dresses, and old familiars sitting in the tights booths at 2am in the morning. The servers were tepid, but the bussers were talkative and funny.
It was late so I just ordered fried eggs and toast. The eggs came with hash brown. I put hot sauce and pepper on it to spice it up.
People go here because you just do because it's there and open 24 hours. However, in my opinion the prices don't match the quality. They could stand to close down from 3am-6:45am and lower their prices by $2 for most items.
I'd go back just because it was fun to be there so early in the morning. I wouldn't have really enjoyed it had there been the sun and normal people around. -

This place doesn't even deserve half a star. Everything is crap in here, from the wait staff to the food.
I came to Lyric Diner a couple times, mostly due to the convenient location. Let's face it, when your stomach is screaming in hunger, convenience is key.
Every time I'm here, all of the wait staff seem to have been woken up on the wrong side of the bed that day. They're all incredibly rude and sloppy, eager to hand you the check so you can get the hell outta there. As for the food, I got food poisoning the last time I was here. I don't care how convenient the location was, that was the final straw for me. Thank god Sunflower Diner is not too far to satisfy my hunger and cravings for diner food
I honestly don't know how Lyric Dinere even manages to stay open when the customers are treated poorly and the food taste like cardboard with expired ingredients. -

Attention everyone, a diner has truly hit the ultimate low.
This place will be landmarked as having the world's smallest cup of OJ to accompany breakfast. Honestly, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was like a thimble of juice. Alright, maybe it was bigger than a shot glass......for Tom Thumb.
Absolutely unacceptable when you're hungover on a Sunday and your throat is parched from putting down the overburnt toast and overcooked eggs. Please please please go somewhere else. -

Late one weeknight we tried to get a snack near Astor Place. Bubble tea wouldn't take us. Neither would Menkui-tei. What to do? Take a quick cab up 15 blocks to Lyric Diner.
The waiters and waitresses are alwyas a bit funny. As in funny weird and funny ha ha. Case in point, an older (60+) waiter was doing pushups between booths as he waited for customers to come in.
My friend lives near there and he always gets a black & white milkshake. This night he also got two eggs over easy, hashbrowns, and bacon. Who doesn't love breakfast at midnight? I got grilled cheese. The cole slaw and pickle were a bit funky, but beggars can't be choosers when it comes to late-night fourth mealing.
I still can't believe they filmed a scene from The City here.Listed in: Atkins is a dirty word

I've been here a few times and it's only alright. They give discount to students, but the discount isn't the same every time. I ordered an omelet and sausages, but it was a bit too cooked and you would want to cut out some parts of it before eating it. The bread pudding doesn't look that appetizing but it tasted alright even though I didn't even finish half of it.

This place is pretty grubby. The tables/booths have crumbs and smears all over; plates, drinkware, etc. have icky smudges on them.
There are always tons of waiters in here, but none of them do their job.
You have to beg for water, coffee refills, sweetener (they don't keep Splenda, etc. on the tables), the check...just about everything.
I might forgive the grubbiness and terrible service if the food were good, but it isn't. Fries are cooked in old oil... If you can't get a good plate of fries at a diner, what good is it? -

Really more 2.5 stars, maybe 2.259498, but gotta go on the low side just for the fact that Gramercy Cafe is a few blocks away and is infinitely better.
Not that this place is bad; however the portion size isn't worth the prices, which are decent but there are plenty of cheaper finds nearby with better food.
The burger here was really tiny, and it seemed like it was just some sort of premade patty. The calamari was underwhelming as well.
However, I'd still go here if it was something quick in the area, because Bull's Head up the way is that great, and if I'm seriously stumbling, why not? -

It's right across the street from my best friend's apartment so the Lyric gets three stars for convenience. Meaning, it's Sunday at 2pm and we all feel awful and need greasy fried breakfast to recover for the day- we go here.
My chicken fingers and french fries ran $12. I have to stick to making my own lunches at those rates. Our waitress clearly works hard but the service was iffy- many items were forgotten in our order.
If you're in Murray Hill, this isn't a bad diner to try but there are better spots out there. -

I finally checked out Lyric Diner after living across from this diner for 1.5 years.
After an order of poorly cooked hashbrowns and a fruit salad that was definetely not fresh...I really could've continued living across the street from Lyric Diner and not have to try it.
But its too late. I tried it and had bad fruit and bad hashbrowns. Blah.Listed in: My NYC Neighborhood

I craved a diner experience for an omelet....and granted I'm the type of person who likes an omelet built from the bottom up. I'll pay extra for egg whites...used to it. But the rest of the items (maybe one meat, couple of vegetables) need to be priced accordingly.
I will say their omelette's are large (albeit dry) - -but for example, an egg white omelet + turkey + mushrooms + spinach being $12 is uncalled for. Especially when my iced coffee was $2.50 for each glass.
This is NOT a $17 breakfast place for my custom omelet + 2 coffees. Maybe for the convenience at 1am but on a Sunday midday - - you re much better off going to PUNCH or a place that knows how to price accordingly with better food. -

Their hamburgers are good. Their grilled cheese is more on the buttery side, which is what I like. That's all I usually get when I go there. I don't really expect anything amazing because it's a diner.
I guess this review is more about the service: The last time I went there for dinner, I ordered a burger with Cheddar cheese and bacon. When the order came, the burger had American cheese so I told the waiter, politely. He refused to take it back and claimed that what he gave me was cheddar cheese. Then he made up some bullshit about how it's white cheddar. Did he really think I was that stupid that I couldn't tell the difference between the two? I found it a little insulting. I wasn't mad about the cheese, but I just thought that I should get what I ordered. It also wasn't that cheap either. Maybe it was just an off day. In the past, I had better waiters that were actually friendly and gave me what I ordered.
