Lynnwood is a fun short course that challenges your iron play. The course is usually is good shape and it drains well in the Winter. You do not need to be long hitter on this course but you must hit the ball straight. The course is a little overpriced but it is convenient and depending upon the time of day, you can play 18 in about 3 to 3.5 hours.
Went here to play a round with Ma and Pa, they are great golfers and this was very easy for them to handle this course, itsabout a 5k yard course, very short but in decent condition. All par 3's and 4's. Odd location since it shares its space with edmonds community college. Location is great since its a couple miles from my place. So why only 2 stars? Well the first reviewer got it on the button, horrible non-operating driving range is just hideous and needs to be fixed or torn down. The staff is indeed incredibly rude, every place I've been has nice friendly staff, these guys are just old grumpy people who look like they hate their jobs, not cool...Plus there rates are pretty high for such a short course. I would rather play the squishy swamp of the nile or lake ballinger before ever coming back here.
I've been golfing for 1 1/2 years and Lynnwood Muni is by far my favorite course. I've always had good experiences with the staff in the pro shop. The greens are very well kept and the course is just beautiful. I love all the water features, which is something many courses are lacking. Because it's situated next to EdCC, the course is very peaceful. The best thing about this course is that it's unpretentious and inviting to people of all skill levels. The only thing that would give it 5 stars for me is if there was an actual clubhouse. But, I've had really great experiences there each of the 20 some-odd times I've played there.
Add one star because its conveniently located about a mile or two down the street from my house.
Subtract a star for dilapidated and run down driving range.
Subtract a second star for the staff being extremely rude.
Subtract a third star for staff being inattentive.
Subtract a fourth star not being beginner friendly.
