Their pizzas are good but I really like their sandwiches too. Usually I pick up my order, but I have never had a an issue with deliveries either.

    Give them a try :)

Think I got them on an off day. Was excited to try them since my LB friends recommended them to me. Used the online system to order food around 5:50pm. Estimated delivery time was 6:35. Around 7:40 with no food I finally called to be greeted by a guy who rudely answered my inquiry of "Hi there, I'm calling about an order I placed this evening" by huffing "You JUST ordered it 15 minutes ago."  I said, "Excuse me? I placed it almost 2 hours ago.." He says, "Ridgecourt Drive? YOU JUST PLACED IT." I tell him he's mistaken, that's not my address. "Oh...what do you want?" I ask about the order and tell him it's been 2 hours since we placed it. He tells me that he doesn't see it in the system and that some employees left for the day and probably trashed it, that "this happens sometimes" and that "so do we want the pizza or what?" I told him no, at this point we'll just drive through somewhere (new residents to the LBC from LA and had been painting the new place all day) & that I wanted a full refund. He snickered and said, "Well, you have to wait for that. The manager comes in tomorrow and he's the only one who can do that." He starts to hang up on me and I tell him, "Wait, don't you want my info so I can get a call back?" He sighs loudly and I give him the info. Ugh, I'm getting annoyed right now by how rude this guy was.

The next day, I wait for a phone call from them. I know they open at 3 so I give them some time. Around 5:30 I give in and call and got a manager on the phone. Another annoyance, would I ever have gotten a call that day? To his credit, he was super nice (a stark contrast from the guy the night before) and apologetic. He found our order (which the other dude said didn't exist) & said that the online system is usually perfect ...that we were probably the only ones who had a problem with it. Lucky us. Our former total was $33 and he offered either a refund or a $7 credit ($40 total but they keep the charge of $33) for the store. I appreciate that he was nice and all but really? $7...no thanks. Considering we waited almost 2 hours for a delivery that never came & a rude guy treating me like an idiot on the phone...probably won't be giving this one another shot. Too bad, we are both pizza fiends and order in a lot...now off to check reviews and find another Long Beach local pizza place.

Good pizza!  I just got one last night and it was very delicious.  Crust cooked perfectly, good sauce, tasty toppings, and they didn't skimp.  MUCH better than Big E's Pizza.

I really hate giving one stars, I feel bad doing it but I feel compelled to after the other nights meal...

Real quick, one thing you should know about me is that I'm from Buffalo, NY so I'm kind of a chicken wing and pizza snob. I prefer the mom and pop places that make everything homemade. So my standards may be a little skewed.

OK, so I was getting sick of eating Pizza Hut that my bf always gets and I wanted to try a non-chain pizza place. I pass by this place everyday on my way home from work and the Yelp reviews looked good. Also, in their pictures there is one of La Novas which is a place that I frequented when I lived in Buffalo, amazing wings. I figured they must know a little something about wings if they have a pic w/La Nova's. Boy did Yelp ever let me down!

I ordered a medium pizza and 6 buffalo wings, asking for them extra crispy. This cost me roughly $17.50. As soon as I got the food home and opened the pizza box I knew I was in for a disappointmet. It looked like something I used to get in the school cafeteria. Honestly there was nothing special about it, it definitely could have used more pepperoni and one piece had no cheese on it at all! I would much rather had Pizza Hut or frozen pizza for that matter.

On to the wings, now these were an atrocity. Like I mentioned I ordered them extra crispy. What I got were the exact opposite. I have no idea what was going on with them. It was like they were baked. You know how when you bake something the bottom side is flat from the pan, each wing was like that. Also they were so slippery and gelatinous that I couldn't even pick them up!! I couldn't tell if they were breaded and super soggy or if the sauce had just coagulated on them. I'm sorry but they were just plain gross.

Trust me on this, take your $$ to Pizza Hut, Dominoes, even Albertson's frozen food section where it will be much better spent.

We ordered from LW a lot when we first moved to Long Beach and were living in a hotel down the street. Their Hawaiian pizza got us through that tough time. It always arrived warm, and the aroma of the tangy sauce and fresh, bountiful ingredients made our mouths water as soon as the delivery man entered the building.

We have since moved to a place that is nigh impossible to direct deliveries to, but we occasionally call LW and actually drive over to pick up a Hawaiian for old times' sake. Also, their emails actually often have useful deals.

Ordered from them tonight and it was awesome! I have to say I am not a fan of pizza; I usually only eat it when I'm stuck in an office meeting and it's the only thing available.  But tonight was a rare exception when my husband actually asked for pizza.  This place allows you to pick your toppings and your sauce, which included a delicious garlic butter sauce instead of the usual tomato stuff.  There's also a pesto sauce option.  We also ordered the buffalo wings which were delicious: hot, cooked through and very tender.  The delivery was fast and actually we owe the delivery guy a tip bc he took off so fast I didn't have time to run out with the cash to tip him and we had paid with a credit card for the pizza.  All in all, a very good experience and an unusually delicious pizza.  Highly recommended.

Excellent pizza and a friendly staff. When i order there, I request light cheese and heavy sauce and they nail it every time. All ingredients are fresh and delicious.  Their crust is sort if medium thickness, so my one wish is that they would offer a thin crust version.

LW Pizza is good!  Came here with my sister Laura L. She found it on Yelp of course. :) We were supposed to go to The Deli News but they close on the weekend! Ef that noise!  So this was the next best thing, and did not disappoint!

We enjoyed the Hawaiian pizza, and my sister picked another one with pepperoni, jalapeno, and bacon.  And an order of the garlic cheese bread.

I was freakin starving that day, so waiting 20 minutes for pizza felt like forever!  On the way back to my sister's place, her car was filled with the delicous aroma from the food.

Everything was delicious! The garlic bread was soooo good!!!! The jalapenos on the pizza weren't too spicy, they were perfect!

Can't wait for thier new location and to watch my Monster try to take on the LW pizza challenge.  :) He makes me so proud.

Sorry, but I feel like my twenty bucks could have been more well spent somewhere else, like Canadian pizza or something...
We had the buffalo chicken pizza and it was basically 2 types of cheese, chicken, and a sprinkle of onions... no sauce, very bland, and definitely very unappetizing. My bf and I had a slice each and tossed the rest of the pizza. The garlic bread is the only thing that would actually get us to order here again, and even that isn't amazing enough to keep us coming back. 2 stars is too nice. Wont be ordering here again.

They were out of pizza by the slice so we ordered the small cheese pizza (the garlic cheese bread was way.................................better) and a meatball sandwich...MMMmmm that was delish!!! soft bread, good meatballs, and ample amount of cheese.

Nice lil spot in the back. Service was ok. had to go back for cheese, pepper utensils and napkins...ERK.

So good! The crust is always cooked to perfection and the ingredients are always fresh. The cheese is super high quality and tastes delicious on the garlic bread.

My personal favorite is a pesto cheese pizza with tomato slices and feta. Delicious. Oh and be sure to ask for some of the homemade ranch to dip your crusts in! Finger lickin good :)

    Big E's who?

    Valentino's what?

LW is the new pizza spot - most definitely!

Babycakes' roomie told him about LW being the Cal State LB late night spot - open 'till 3 a.m. - so we decided to give it a go and indulge in everything fattening: pizza, wings, rib tips and salad.

The establishment is very small, nothing more than a few tables. Either the owner or manager was working on his finances as we walked in but acknowleged us immediately. His service was great - very easy going guy. As we were trying to decide what to get, we noticed pictures on the wall of rando's with huge ass pizzas in front of them. Apparently LW holds this pizza challenge - 32 slices? - in which you have one hour to complete sans bathroom breaks. Only one winner so far and the prizes are $100.00 cash, your pizza paid for and a gift card.

Anyway, we went for the carryout special valid with student ID - 16" 1 topping pizza for $9.99. Cheese, please! Is that considered a topping?

I wanted wings, like always, so I got the 5 piece for $3.99. BF got himself 1/2 lb. of bbq rib tips for $3.99 as well and a large Greek salad.

Everything smelled like heaven on the way home - dug right into it as soon as we hit his room. Seriously, that pizza, seriously...

All I can say is that I ate 4 freakin' slices! Nom, nom, nom!!!

The buffalo wings were good but not the best. Don't get me wrong though - I am not complaining! I don't like bbq but babycakes was 100% satisfied with his rib tips - polished those babies off in minutes. The salad was yummy; tons of lettuce, onions and feta - just my style :)

We're claiming LW to be our number one pizza place from now on.

    Next on the list?

    - Garlic Cheesebread
    - Calzone
    - Baked Fries

    Heart disease waiting to happen!

One drunken evening (ahem, Halloween) I walked home from Alex's with Sir Nicholas secretly hoping to bypass some sort of food to put into my belly. That was a bust.

So, when we got home I pulled up Yelp and searched places nearby me that were open and delivered. Low and behold LW Pizza appeared like magic. I went online and ordered something to be delivered. Yes, they have a system where you don't even have to call and talk to a real person when you're drunk at 3 am. You can just type what you want and they bring it to you. Amazing.

After I ordered I received an email with the following information about LW:

1.They make their dough from scratch every day.
2.LW pizza is actually Chicago style thin crust pizza aka cracker crust.
3.They only use the finest 100% pure Fancy Wisconsin mozzarella cheese (never frozen).
4.For you veggie lovers they use only the freshest produce that is cut by hand daily.
5.Their pizza sauce is made from vine ripened fresh tomato puree, spices and virgin olive oil.
    6. They import the wings from Buffalo, New York and use real Fontanini Chicago sausage.

I didn't know what any of that meant when I was staring drunkenly at my laptop screen, but I do know my food came fast, that it was warm, and I didn't go to bed hungry. So, for that I say bravo LW, bravo.

I did not take advantage of the owner's plea to comp a pizza in hopes my judgement would change.  I know that places have bad nights so I ordered up a 21 inch pizza for a couple friends.

I can say that the pizza did not taste like "elementary school cafeteria" pizza this time...it tasted like frozen pizza.  It was obviously freshly cooked but the amounts of "fancy wisconsin cheese" put on the pizza smothered that crackery crust which truly had the color and texture of moist cardboard.  If you're actually using quality cheese, the cost prohibits using such obscene amounts of cheese.  You can only pile on crap that thick at these prices.

I must qualify this review by saying that I was in new york this past weekend where I tried four pizza joints.  I had some of  the best pizza I've ever eaten at Patsy's but even a corner pizza spot open 23 hours a day was ten times more preferable to LW.  Take note: Patsy's had crust so tasty that I would be happy to eat it on it's own, bright tangy sauce and small amounts of high quality cheese with fragrant fresh basil.

To top it off, their website is really bad and there's no menu on it.  Will not be coming back for a third time. For everyone else out there that enjoys this pizza, I'm happy for you; it's just not for me.

After a long day at work I decide I'm going to be a bit bad and order a pizza.  The place we usually order from wouldn't deliver since it was nearly 10pm. I search through the mail I got from the other day and I find the coupon from LW pizza. Great news they deliver till 3am Thurs-Sat!

We decide to get a med double cheese pizza with pepperoni on half, soda, and wings. I'm in the other room when the deliver guy comes and much to my dismay they forget the ranch for the wings and I ordered diet soda and it's regular soda. I call and ask if theres anyway they could bring the ranch and the diet soda? It turns out I'm on the phone with the owner and he says " Sure no problem!" About 15mins later we get the ranch, the diet soda, and he threw in a giant cookie and vanilla ice cream! How's that for great customer service!

If you want to get a good pizza thats tastes great and has RAD customer service this is the place for you!

We loved this place!!  We got there Saturday a little after they'd opened and the owner was there and he was very talkative and helpful.

We ordered a small Hawaiian pizza (ham, pineapple, red onions, and BACON!!!), a medium pepperoni with jalapeno and bacon, and an order of garlic cheese bread.  Based on the rave reviews of the bread on Yelp, we had to see what the fuss was about.

We sat and waited in the little dining area.  Think there were only two small tables.  This location will be moving to Stearns and Lakewood soon, so I can't wait to check them out there.  Hopefully there will be a bigger dining area.

Took about 20 minutes for our order to be ready.  It smelled so very good when we got it in the car.  Couldn't wait to get home to chow down.  When we got there we laid out our plates and got to eating.  The pizza was still very hot and very good.  The Hawaiian was very good, but the pepperoni with jalapeno was DELICIOUS.  I'm not really a pepperoni lover but this pizza was incredibly good with the toppings I chose.

The garlic cheese bread was also really good, crispy and buttery and cheesy.  I wish they'd given us a little dipping sauce to go with it.  That would have put it over the top!!!

We will definitely go back here once they move to the new location (it's closer to me).  Maybe we'll even go and watch one of our friends attempt to take on The Legend...

What a hidden treasure LW Pizza is! Located in a tiny plaza off of Clark Ave, this place serves delicious and affordable pizza pies! They do deliver, plus you can order other dishes such as buffalo wings, pasta, and even salad!

I've tried the buffalo wings and chicken and mushroom pizza. The buffalo wings were no different than any other wings but the pizza was amazing! It was probably the best chicken and mushroom pizza I've ever had. The cheese was perfectly melted (and the perfect amount too; not too much, not too little), the crust was thin and nicely crisped, and the chicken and mushrooms were juicy and full of flavor. I definitely recommend this place if you love pizza and want a really delicious and fast meal!

Also, if you're an CSULB student, they take the Beach Card too!

Awesome place! Wish there were more locations though...

Thought I would try a new pizza place the other night and was delightfully surprised. Very good thin rust, tasty dough and tangy
sauce. These people are very nice and understand customer service above and beyond, I would order from them for that reason alone, the fact that the food is so good is just that much better. With places like this around why would you ever order dominos?

I guess the only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because they delivered to us out of  their delivery zone and they were on time despite the pouring rain.

The pizza is.........not good. It's not nasty, but it is absolutely nothing special. I like one of the description below...."like elementary school cafeteria pizza."

Maybe I am spoiled because I grew up in Chicago and tehy have some of the best pizza in the world there!!!!!!! This pizza had a very thin and mushy crust, hardly any sauce, and a bland crust. The toppings were ok and seemed fresh.

The search for great pizza in the LBC continues.

Although the pizza doesn't neccessarily stand out in a crowd, I gave LW Pizza four stars because they are open super late (3pm-3am Mon-Sat!!), the people who work their are mega friendly and, if you get the 20 inch pizza with one topping it's only $20, and far more gigantic in person.
The first time I ordered from here, the pizza guy drove all the way out to my place, which has to be out of their delivery radius, and I forgot to tip him. Next time I called, not only was he still super friendly over the phone, when he got here I apologized for not tipping him and he was really gracious about it-far from the surly pizza boys that usually deliver to me.
I love their "completely average, crackery crust, cheap cheese and tomato paste sauce"-and I eat a TON of pizza.

I'm a fan.  I don't think anyone with tastebuds could rate this place less than 3 stars.  It's not a fancy sit down Italian joint, it's take out pizza that tastes good.  I call ahead and order so it's ready in 15 minutes when I get there.  I usually get a 1 topping with chicken, and it's consistantly delicious.

It's a thinner crust than some people might expect, but it's still good.  This place delivers until about 2:30 - 3am and thats made it a hit with the local Cal State Long Beach crowd.  Their best deal is the College Student deal (I blieve it's a medium 1-topping with a drink?) but I've also gotten the 28 inch Legendary Pizza to feed a group of 10 (the huge box is even a great conversation piece)

If you're a pizza snob, why even bother to review places like this?  The pizza is good and just like all of the other restaurants here on Yelp, some people just shouldn't be reviewing.

This place is SOO good. And I love the specials they do.
First time I had LW, I experienced "The Legend." The largest pepperoni pizza I've experienced. The people I was with also thought it would be a good idea to order 2 of these!!
... Did I mention it was like 1 or 2 am when we ordered it, however they still delivered it to the house of starving college students.
Needless to say even with the 10 guys we had with us, we did not finish both of the pizzas, we did however finish one with a couple slices (actually their more of square/rectangles) taken from the second.

If you like greasy, cheesy pepperoni (or whatever kind you like) pizza goodness, go to LW. I will warn you though the bread/crust is pretty thin...

...but hey, I like it that way!

PS- if you're a student, you can do their special where you show them your student ID and get a large pizza for cheap (but its pick up only)

I'm upping LW to 5 stars based on the Buffalo pizza alone.  I had missed this item on the menu the first few times I ordered from LW, but today found an excuse to grab it.  I already liked LW - but this pizza blew me away for the following reasons:

    1) No tomato sauce.  Not all pizza should have tomato sauce and this is certainly the case for a buffalo chicken pizza.  I have seen far too many places make the awful combination of tomato sauce and buffalo sauce...but thankfully LW did not.

    2) Tons of cheese.  I'm not sure what the exact blend is, but there is plenty used and it tastes fresh.

    3) Red onions.  The buffalo slices I survived on during my college years didn't have anything more than mozzarella, blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and chicken...so I was a little skeptical of the red onions used at LW.  I'm happy to report that they work rather nicely to add to the flavor and were not over powering as I had feared they might be.

    4) Just enough Buffalo sauce was used to nail the flavor without over doing it.

While no buffalo chicken pizza will ever be as good as the one from 'I Love NY Pizza' in beautiful Troy, NY - the Buffalo Pizza at LW is a close second to it in my mind and easily the best I have tasted in SoCal.  And considering I don't make it back to NY as often as I'd like, I really appreciate that I don't have to go more than 4-5 miles to get my buffalo chicken pizza fix whenever the sudden craving comes over me.

I placed an order for delivery and they came about 25 mins after I hung up the phone. My food hot, my drink cold, and received service with a smile. Additionally and most importantly, my pizza was great!! I'll definitely be a returning customer!!

Since Papacicios closed down, this place and NY's Upper Crust are the two best pizza places in Long Beach.  LW's wings are better than NY's, but NY has a slight edge on the pizza.  But don't get me wrong, LW's makes a good pie.
Try the ribs!  I usually don't even like ribs, but YUM!

The BEST garlic cheesebread I have ever had!!!!!!
My boyfriend ordered the pizza on the day blackouts in Long Beach.
I was worried how could them make pizzas since the power wasn't steady....but they delivered super fast.....we had half and half pepperoni and mushrooms....the pizza was so cheesy.....and the mushrooms was so fresh and yummy. I am not a pizza person but I ate a lot that night...the garlic cheesebread was surprisingly awesome...I was so happy!!
Btw, the guy who was on the phone was very friendly and nice...I am looking forward for the next pizza time..YUM

Honestly, the pizza is OVERRATED. I don't know how people can say this is the best pizza they have ever had. I must say, this is far from the best pizza I have ever had.

Okay sure the pizza is alright. Sure they give lots of discounts, namely for students and military. You can rate them for everything else. But seriously, I've tried their pizza weekly for the past few months, and each time, the pizza was just okay. I have yet to try anything else they have to sell, but so far, I have not had stellar pizza from LW.

The highlights? For one, their operating hours are well suited to college life. I mean c'mon, they open til 3 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. It's a shame that I normally go out Sunday nights, so I can never take advantage of their willingness to open late. For the 21+ crowd, I like that they will deliver your order to The Interlude (a bar next door) for free if you order from LW and you are having a drink at The Interlude. People seem to mention the outstanding service. Well I haven't had a bad service moment yet, but I still have not gotten service that has surpassed anyone's expectations.

Sorry to say all this to you people that love LW so much, but I might just have bad luck. I have not had any good experiences with LW yet. Probably the only thing that is keeping me coming back is that every time I want to eat at Deli News, they are closed, while LW is open.

This is my favorite every day Long Beach Pizza Place.

For students you can get an $8 large single topping pizza or an $11 extra large single topping pizza.  Carry out only.

No other place makes this good of a pie for this little money.  Pizza hut and all that crap can suck my ... Seriously, I love this place and have been touting them since the say they opened their doors at the old location.

    Don't hesitate.  Buy some LW

I love the chicken pesto pizza - I think its called the Ayman Bake...

I get the garlic butter base instead of red sauce for my little kids - not as messy, and they love love love it!

Best pizza in Long Beach! Their wings and sandwiches are awesome too! I can't wait to explore other items on their menu cuz they use very fresh ingredients in their food. The price is really reasonable for the quality. It is definitely my default place to order from when I am craving for a good pie at night~~~~~

Do yourself a favor and try the double decker stuffed crust pizza! Especially after having a few drinks at the interlude! This pizza is the BOMB! The crust is amazing! Perfect balance of crispiness and doughyness(those aren't even words). And they stay open til 3am on the weekends. I wish i lived closer so I can have it delivered. Paul M. Is crazy!

I'd give this place 5 stars if they delivered to my house.  My all time favorite food is PIZZA...this place has the best pizza I've ever had.  If you have a group of 6 people, get the LEGEND - that thing is almost 30 inches.  They deliver until 2am!

LW Pizza rocks! First off, I absolutely love their cheese. Whether you get extra cheese or not, the ratio to sauce is always perfect and it just tastes fresh. Their online ordering is really easy, and I've never had a late delivery. The only disclaimer to my review is that I've never had their pizza at the actual establishment, only delivered to my front door. Great coupons and deals available right through their website, no need to jump through hoops. All in all, LW Pizza is definitely #1 in Long Beach and I felt the need to crown the champ.

First off, I think frozen pizza is fine, but not when it comes from a pizza shop and is supposed to be good.  So first off, their pizza tastes like frozen pizza.

Second and most importantly, they charged my credit card more of a tip than I gave them.  I'm sorry but if I pick up the pizza, there's nothing in the magical book of rules that says I have to leave 15+% or any tip at all for that matter (but I did leave a tip... just not enough apparently).

I'm not worried though, dishonest businesses close their doors... unless you're on wall street.

If you want REAL AUTHENTIC PIZZA. Here's your place! Quality pizza that you might have to pay a little more for but the taste is amazing. The staff is amazing and really friendly willing to bend to your any request or desire. The location has a great vibe that makes it the perfect place for college kids to eat some pizza and chill, it's also right next door to a bar where you can take your pizza into for pool & beer! AWESOME!

This is probably the BEST pizza in Long Beach. I have had Deli News, and it used to be alot better, it has really gone down hill. Same goes for Big E's pizza as well. LW Pizza, is amazing, perfect sauce to cheese ratio, and they have the BEST ranch dressing in town. I have had their salads, spaghetti, rib bits, garlic cheese bread, and a few varieties of pizza. My personal favorite it tomato, garlic, and onions, it is delicious. My friends and i order this pizza at least once and sometimes up to 3 times a week, if you havnet already, please try this pizza, you will NOT regret it!!!!!

The pizza here is awesome and cheap!! If you have a student ID its even cheaper! And better yet theyre open pretty late especially the weekends starting thursdays until 3 am!! what more could you ask for!! The workers are very friendly and casual, you can talk to them like another one of your friends......they sell Ice Cream too if you want a little dessert after pizza. I highly reccommend going there!
