3 reviews for Lummus Park on South Beach
If you know anything about me, or follow my reviews, you know that I am great fan of South Florida because the sun shines here everyday of the year and you can ALWAYS find stuff to do outdoors year round.
Lummus park is the mecca of outdoor activities, strap on your Rollerblades, tune on to your favorite play list and go "blading" ... this is unbeatable fun and its FREE !!!
Bring a few friends for a good game of sand volleyball, work out in your pull ups, do some sit ups, or just enjoy some good old people watching.
Straddled by some awesome places on Ocean Drive and one of the sexiest beaches in the world, where else can you work up a sweat and then enjoy a good book afterwards on the shores of the Caribbean sea ...
Lummus park is the Answer and it is in our backyard.
See you on the court for a two on two !

Best beach to be at if you're young, beautiful, and single. Seriously.
I prefer to lay my beach towel around 8th & Ocean Dr. or around 6th, that's where you can find alot of beach umbrellas/chairs to rent. Opposite of the ocean is the infamous Ocean Dr. Deco buildings, so this is a good postcard spot.
There's awesome people-watching here whether its the beach volleyball players, the rollerbladers on the boardwalk, or just the hot folks (who can be all of the above).
The sand is perfect, very little seaweed, and the surf actually has some waves in it (unlike Key Biscayne's calm waves).
I didn't know this area was called Lummus Park but I go here for all my sand/surf needs even though Key Biscayne is closer.
Around Ocean Dr./15th St. it starts turning into hotel-property beachfronts. Parking is a hassle so unless you're in a hotel nearby, you'll have to find a parking garage on Collins.

aka the popularized beach of South Beach (SoBe).
Beautiful waters (like everywhere else around Miami), good looking people (hey, it is also Muscle Beach!), and dirty white sand in the middle of one of the world's best beach city flanked with many colorful historically art deco buildings with tons of things to offer.
