Review Highlights
This is the best baby store that I have found. They stock a great range of all items and are competitively priced.
I find their service fantastic. However, if you go on a weekend, they are pretty busy so you need to wait your turn.
Great place to get items=gifts for the baby shower, the VNese "day thang"=the Asian tradition's one-month-after-birth celebration. Not because it's cheap or anything (can say that about any baby/toddler store), but because everything is in one location so there's no need to drive around looking for that perfect/unique gift. Besides this location, a few steps over, are a Lullaby Lane furniture store and Lullaby Lane clearance store. This weekend there's a lot clearance sale.
Hard to find or get to. Take 101 to San Bruno Avenue and head towards the hills, then turn left at "the Avenues"=San Mateo Avenue. Likewise, take 280 to the Sneath Lane exit, but go straight and turn left at San Bruno Avenue.
I am writing a review on Customer Service award winner for Debra who handled my on-line order, cancelled, re-thought due to my own change of mind so that I would only order items that were IN STOCK, and now processed as a phone order.
I have one word for Lullaby Lane's very own Debra and its customer service: impeccable.
I don't understand the popularity of this place. If you haven't done a THOROUGH research, you might be fooled into thinking that this place is great -- it does look huge and at first glance, it looks well-stocked but BabiesRus is 10x better & cheaper and if you really do your homework, you can find way better deals & selections at other online baby stores that even provide FREE SHIPPING.
So I had 2 baby showers and Lullaby Lane continues to disappoint...many items I received were not updated on the online registry so I called to clarify. When called I let them know the items I received and also asked about a stroller that was purchased and hadn't received yet. They couldn't tell my why the items were not updated, they just said sorry. And the stroller that was supposedly purchased wasn't; guess it was not in stock so something else was purchased instead. they kept the stoller on acct as purchased and the other item still showed needed. now baby showers are over and will need to buy the stroller when I know someone would have got it for us...grrrr...

Lullaby Lane has disappointed me, all these years I have been going there to buy my baby shower… Read more »
Lullaby Lane is definitely one of the best places in the Bay Area for high end baby gear. They have an extensive selection of furniture, strollers, high chairs, baby carriers, toys, potties, etc. For the most part their employees are pretty knowledgeable about the products, so it's a huge step up from Babies R Us.
If you have kids or are expecting you have to check out their stroller selection. They have a huge assortment of high end to low end strollers. I went in to ask about jogging strollers and they showed me 4-5 models. The employees in their stroller section are extremely knowledgeable and helped me narrow down my decision to one choice.
Lullaby Lane is one of the only stores in the Bay Area that carry a large collection of high chairs. I wanted to look at both the Tripp Trapp and Svan, but no other store had both items. Lullaby Lane had both high chairs, so I could easily compare them side by side.
Don't come here for clothing... they have a weak selection.
Tip: Lullaby Lane does offer in store coupons in many of the new mom packages you get at the hospital or from your doctor's office. They also have a lot of online coupons floating around on the internet.
I am completely dissappointed with the customer service at Lullaby Lane.
When i first went there I was so impressed with them that i decided to do all my shopping there and also register with them. However, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
These were the problems i encountered with them:
1) All my presents were delivered to me without any names of the senders or any of the notes that my friends had written to me.
2) I ordered all my furniture from them - they do not tell you this information when you order the furniture but it is really important. once the furniture has been received by them - it can take weeks for them to get it out to you as apparently their delivery schedule is completely backed up.
3) I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to have my car seat installed by them and when i called to confirm they told me that i was not in their schedule.
Spare yourself the stress and just go to a babies r us.
Wow, I wish I knew about this place before we had purchased our first double stroller that was like pushing a bus for a 5ft tall mommy of two! They have a ginormous selection of strollers to choose from and test out. Plus, the clerks actually know the answers to your questions and don't roll their eyes at you when you think you may be asking the most cliche redundant question on the planet.
This place has the baby stuff you usually can't find in other stores, and it's the stuff that you always read about that comes highly recommended. We found this awesome potty-training seat that is small and portable that you can fit over regular toilet seats as well as set on the floor with a disposable bag attachment.
Oh and another potty-training goodie that is sooooo hard to find in stores, are those thick 100% cotton training panties. Everything there is useful and avoids the unnecessary "FLUFF" that other baby stores have... which drives me crazy... because I just want to go in and get what I need and get out, especially when you have an infant and a toddler!
Those of you who are visiting the Bay Area and have kids or are expecting... it's worth taking a side excursion. Even if you don't buy anything, at least you can look at the items and test out gear before you buy it online back home.
Another tip, go there on a Sunday, then you can hit the public market on the way out, so you have some fresh produce to snack on in the car on the trek home. YUM.
Such helpful staff. Every time I go they are helpful with answering questions and product demonstrations without being pushy. Ben in the gear store is great! Helped us find our Bob stroller which we love and even pumped up the tires when they got low after a few months.
I always find too much great baby stuff when I go and so must limit my shopping here... so sad.
Just got an email from the owner. Learned that they have a low price guarantee. So if you find a competitor who has a lower price, it sounds like they will honor that price. Can't get better than that!

I'm bumping this store up to 5 stars because they deserve it for their top-notch customer service and they keep adding organic products to their store.
If you buy when they've got sales and/or use their coupons, you can find some sweet deals.
If you're really on a budget, I suggest checking Lovely Bump (down the block across the street from Lullaby Lane), Peek-A-Bootique or Chloe's Closet in SF, or your local mothers' club for second-hand items:

If you want excellent customer service and a store that will stand behind their products, shop at Lullaby Lane.
They take the stress out of shopping for baby stuff and gift-wrap beautifully too.

I would have given this place a 5-star rating, but on one occasion, my customer service experience was a bit lacking. I was looking for a specific high-chair and they happened to have one that was an older model on the sales floor. I had to track someone down to get help, and when she finally came over, she made an attempt to be knowledgeable about the product, but really had no clue how to use it.
Hence, I went to Giggle in SF and they had the product and knew exactly how to use it. (It happened to be on sale at Giggle too!) Now I realize that it was a busy Saturday, but the sales clerk at Lullaby Lane could have easily gotten a $500.00 purchase from me if she had known what she was talking about, or asked another person who did.
For the most part, Lullaby Lane has never failed me when I've shopped for a stroller. The guys who work in the stroller department are top notch sales folks, personable, and know their products in and out. They have an excellent selection of high end childrens items as well as a good balance of the not so pricey things. I will still continue to shop at Lullaby Lane despite the one time fluke on poor customer service, and I will definitely recommend them to friends!
I am an Auntie of 10...thats no typo my friend! I have been given 10 neices and nephews (or as I like to call them niblings) and I guess that comes with the territory when you have 4 other Brothers and Sisters! Large families are fun, but costly! And for the past 12 years I have averaged about a baby shower a year. And where do I go? Lullaby Lane. Cute stuff, at a decent price and the staff has EXCELLENT customer service!
This place is probably one of the best baby stores in the Bay Area. Excellent service. I grilled their stroller department and the guy knew every product and spec. He told me every component by the weight, and was honest about which products were being recalled. I wish I recalled his name, he was a youngish guy and would recommend him in the stroller department. Their selection is fabulous. The only thing is their pricing is a little higher than online stores.
Ok, this place has blown me away.
Their customer service and communication is outstanding. A friend of mine is registered here, and an item I purchased for her became unavailable (discontinued by the merchant, not the store) and a representative was immediately in touch with me.
I am supremely impressed by their customer service and attentiveness. This isnt some mainstream big box store where you're just another number.
If anyone is expecting, or knows some one who is expecting....I highly recommend it....if not for anything but the organic/natural baby clothing and products, and the great customer service!
Way to go!
I have been to Lullaby Lane several times and I am impressed by their vast assortment of baby items - definitely the best in this area of CA. The outside is a little shabby but inside in very clean and fairly well organized. Always lots of sales associates on hand to help and the store seems to stay busy. Ample parking on the street in front or the lot in back.
I admit I was a little turned off by the lack of knowledge when I was crib shopping. Buying a convertible crib is a big and long term investment so we had a few questions and concerns. Also, as we were shopping I overheard a loud phone conversation with one of the sales associates and an unhappy customer. Of course I only heard one side of the conversation but the sales associate was pretty rude and defensive and kept telling the customer it was her own fault (I gathered that there had been an error in delivery). That was a little unprofessional and I was hesitant to make a large purchase there and receive the same care. I would like to point out that each time we were there everyone was nice and friendly in the store. Maybe this associate was having an off day but it left me with a bad impression.
I was mainly pricing cribs so I can only speak to that area. There are at least 30 different floor models and you can pretty much find any manufacturer. I thought most of their cribs were fairly reasonable until I just bought the EXACT SAME CRIB for $170 LESS at Babyland Furniture in San Jose. I see in another customer review that Lullaby Lane matches prices. If that's the case I was unaware so maybe that should be advertised more clearly.
UPDATE - I just want to point out that the crib is $170 more expensive at Lullaby Lane on their website and I am unsure of the price in the store. Could this be an error on their website? If so, it's a biggie.
***LAST UPDATE*** 8/17/09
I would just like to indicate that Mr. Barry Gevertz, co owner of Lullaby Lane, sent me a message in response to my comments. He was very polite and concerned about my shopping experience. I appreciate his commitment to customer service.
I've been hearing about this place since I found out I'm gonna be a daddy. So on one Sunday, we took a short trip from San Mateo to go here. We got to the first store that had kid beds, not knowing how many stores there were. I was looking for strollers and the store clerk told me to go to the next store and they should have it. Got to the next store and they told me the same thing, go forward...."Good Lord! How many stores do you guys have...?"...I think I counted four showrooms, and they have a clearance showroom for either discontinued or open box items...it's like the "Octo-Mom's wet dream" being in here....So, for any expecting parent looking for good ideas what to buy, explore this strip and you'll go bananas.
I LERVE, lerve this store!!!
Ok, so I know people have said things are over-priced, high-priced, etc. but you can't beat being able to touch, feel, measure and use (most) items before you buy. I think the prices are the same in catalogs, etc. If you are looking for cheap stuff, yes stick w/ Target (it may not last). BUT this store is the place for hard to find, online, catalog items. The prices are just the same and no shipping.
We purchased and had set up by the wonderful staff at LL our crib and dresser/changing table combo. My husband was so happy that they took all the packing crap with them . . . breaking down boxes his is kryptonite.
Since my daughter has been born (a year ago) I have bought enough items here for triplets. I have bought another diaper bag (I didn't need, but wanted - no shipping costs!), nursing bras, teething Rapberry (you will need it) and too much more to list.
I have also gone in and not bought a thing . . . used the many rockers available to nurse my daughter and was not ONCE bothered. It was so nice to know that I could sit back there (very away and peaceful from the cashier area).
They have recently bought/took over the old bike shop for the stroller/carseat store which was needed. That store is MUCH roomer and they turned the old area into a nice feeding and safety area. LL now take up quite a bit of downtown San Bruno . . . I know it helps keep other business open.
My only teeny grip: As a member of the San Bruno Mothers Club . . . and since this is a local San Bruno store, I think we should have a discount. Even a small one.
Just visited this place for the first time with my pregnant wife. We drove 60 plus miles, and it was absolutely worth it.
First off everyone in the store we encountered was really friendly and went above and beyond to answer questions. My wife had to register for her baby shower and one of the sales gals walked her through the entire process.
I've had my eye on two strollers for a month now and talked to the salesmen about them both. He spent nearly 30 minutes talking to me about both strollers, doing demos, going over everything.
We've visited several baby stores in the past month or two, this one by far blows them all away in terms of customer service and employee knowledge. I'm sure we'll be back again and again.
For everyday stuff I usually order from http://Diapers.com. They deliver to your door (free with $50 order, not hard to do with diapers), and you don't have to deal with the "people" element of a store, which to me is lousy customer service of places like TRU/BRU and the customers shouting their "business" all over the place. When I need anything else like a gift/special something/anything else that requires lots of research I go to Lullaby Lane in San Bruno. They are the BEST!! So nice, so helpful, and family owned forever. Their prices are very competitive too. San Bruno is barely any further than Serramonte for convenience factor for that matter.
This store has very helpful and knowledgeable staff who are great at giving you the right kind of help and demonstrating the products. My husband and I were quite impressed with the offerings here -- by far the most comprehensive baby gear store, and you will find that the gear section is the most hopping in terms of activity.
Was it that this place is haunted or that Ghosthunters did their investigations here that bought me to Lullaby Lane's doors...um...probaby both. I didn't know about this place prior to the show. I must say my hubbie was nervous about shopping here based on the supernatural findings from the show but I assure him it was only in the employee area that seem to be haunted.
This store is my favorite baby store.. It's definitely warmer than Baby's R' Us, carry non toxic, organic item that's competitively priced. Although I have found some items to be cheaper through other online websites. Clothing isn't that great but everything else I have so much fun browsing through. They have their own catelog and you can create a registry or order online.
Oh, there was no ghostly sighting while we were there. Phew!
3.0 cautious stars*. For now.
BTW: According to their commercial on Comcast cable, they "GUARANTEE THE LOWEST PRICES"..... says the owner of the shop himself, on the commercial. I'm not sure what this means. Will he price match with amazon? Do they price match with Babys R Us? I do not know. I'd like to know. Anyone know????
So, I'm updating my review after a slightly better experience here. If you happen to be with child in the SF Bay Area, you are very, very, very limited in your options for finding items like baby furniture for your upcoming new addition. The staff here are off and on helpful/ not so helpful, depending on if you dare walk in there on a weekend. (do not do this.)
For their nursery furniture and the like, shipping is a whopping $120 (for 3 items,) they do carry 'gently used' cribs made by the better brands.
Mattresses here still run $100+ up, but at least there are various options. the organic mattress that I saw for $400 or so made me laugh. Delivery is done Monday thru Saturday (not sure why Sunday is excluded.) The shop sends their own people out to bring the items to you, which is nice. For an additional $30, they will assemble the furniture for you.
So there you have it, if you are an expectant parent in SF, those are your options.... it's depressing (family keeps sending me links to the babysuperstore back 'at home' that seems to carry everything in stock) that for those of us in SF, we are so beholden to our lack of options.
First review:
********* Maybe it was because it was a weekend, but NO salespeople offered to help us here. Maybe it was because I didn't look visibly pregnant compared to the other people here. I have no idea. All i know is, that the only info I obtained about anything in this shop was through listening to a conversation between a salesperson and a couple, who were interested in buying some furniture. Their babycribs that run $700+ are in their main store, with cheaper options at their store down the block. Shipping is $120 for 3 pieces to SF, $100 to South City. As everyone has said, many of the items here are over-priced and disorganized. If they really want to be the 'superstore' that caters to people who would seriously be buying $3k of stuff (like victoria p. did, see her review,) I would expect much, much, much, much better personalized service.

I happened to be around the area & decided to visit after reading some reviews from yelp by iphone. I was not disappointed because the store was big & full of baby stuff. When you visit a baby shop, usually many stores are so small that you end up going back to Babies r'us. I had fun looking around in the store. I recommend future moms to visit this place because they carry different things than Babies r'us. I think I'd like to go back to this place again.
I was there on Saturday so it was very crowded. There was a long line for the register. I did not see too many sale items so I wasn't too excited to buy things that day. The store was clean but the items were not too well organized. The staffs were friendly but they were busy running around so I could not get a hold of them to help me out. I was there with my 3 month old baby & needed a place to feed her(like the family room in Babies r'us). The staff suggested me to go to where the rockers are & feed there. I guess it was ok but I wasn't too comfortable feeding her with lots of people walking around. Well... it was better than not having any place to feed the baby.
Again love Lullaby Lane. Staff is very knowledgeable. You'd think that they do nothing but eat, drink and dream about baby strollers, car seats, cribs etc. We had our car seat inspected by Ben on a Thursday. Super nice and helpful!!

Disorganized is the word. I must admit that I have gone to the store for many basics that I would rather not get from Babies R Us and other yucko joints like that. They do have a good selection of gear, though their standard clothes are rather unpleasant. They have a nice selection of cute furniture, sheets, bumpers, etc. and they have a fantastic selection of gliders to try out. Very few things for multiples and premies, though. Would have like to see a couple of better strollers for twins and more, or at least known that they could order us something that is of better quality than a MacLaren or Graco.
That said, where the store falls short is in staffing (hence the low score). The turn-over is very high and they staff tends to be a bit ill-trained (not knowing the products that well, and a general sense of confusion). The computer ordering system is a full-on nightmare by the looks of things. The owners would do well to pay their staff decently (I am assuming that this is the reason for the turn-over) so they can retain people who are competent, and find some software that is a little less archane. Not everyone wants to wait for an hour to order a diaper bag.
In a few words: overwhelming and insane. This is the store you have to come to right when they open to avoid all the other pregnant woman and their husbands who have not done any research on the stroller you think you want so they follow you around like sheep (this does not describe my husband this was what other guys looked like in the store)
I went in looking for a few simple items and left empty handed, the selection was too much for me to handle. it was totally overwhelming for me to try and figure out which diaper cover I wanted, also they don't seem to carry newborn mobiles only ones for 6month plus babies. They were very well stocked with the crazy strollers that everyone seems to want and they had a good selection of organic clothing/bedding which was a nice change. They have a large room staged with cribs and bedding so you can imagine what it might look like in your home, but it all was really expensive I guess that is the norm with baby stuff? The smaller it is the larger the price tag, a form of reverse psychology right from the start.
** UPDATE ** If you register for Lullaby Lane and do not have gift receipts for any of your presents, Lullaby Lane will still let you return the items for store credit. Babies "R" Us does not.
I am pregnant with my 2nd child and decided to do our main baby registry here. There are tons of Eco-friendly products and I love the stroller selection. Like most retail stores, it is very busy on the weekends. I go the store during the afternoons on weekdays to avoid the madness. There is plenty of free parking & unlike other Yelpers, I thought the staff was very helpful. Lullaby Lane also did a major face change. Strollers are located in the old clearance center, which provides plenty of room for testing out strollers.
First: 4 stars only applies on weekdays! This place is scary on the weekends.
Like many other Yelpers have stated, I am from Burlingame and since I can remember it was instilled in me that Lullaby Lane is where you go for baby nonsense. My mother registered there for me....so I made them my main registry for my first time around. I did the registry online since thats just easier for me, especially when you are throwing up every two minutes!
My husband and I have been in the actual store several times and even though I had to seek out help on the stroller we chose, when we got help it was very good. The gentleman knew quite a bit about the stroller and really sold us on the product.
I like their selection, but I will say that it can get a bit overwhelming. They take up like a full city block! It's kinda intense. I just really prefer to give business to small companies whenever possible. The fact that Lullaby Lane is a family owned and operated business is very important to me. Their prices can sometimes be slightly higher than huge corporations, but mostly I find the prices are the same as at Target or Babies R' Us, or only a few cents higher.
I feel like you get a better level of customer service from hometown favorites.
I registered for a mattress from them...and although I haven't seen it yet in person, (it's some special order natural organic thing.) my grandmother purchased it and they gave her $75.00 off of it! Giving $75.00 off an item that they have to special order is kinda awesome. I'm hoping that the product is up to par when I receive it.
Last Saturday my brother and sister in law came down from Modesto to escape the heat and finish their baby registry at Lullaby Lane. Who would have known that buying a stroller is like buying a car... $800?? Man,those things aren't cheap!! Anyway, the salesperson was really helpful in explaining the difference between Bugaboo, Orbit, Peg Prego and Mclaren. He let us all try pushing the stroller around the sales floor to see which felt right..
There are all sorts of cute clothes and accessories for all your baby needs. Lots of good quality brands and items. The only thing about this place is that the line for the register can be a little slow but the customer service is wonderful!!
Super knowledgeable staff. Went in for advice on strollers and was really impressed with the gentleman that helped me. Their in-store selection is great.
1. They don't have Newport Cottages and Corsican furniture. They don't have New Arrivals, Elizabeth Allen, or Nava's Designs for crib bedding. I was looking for a cute baby outfit and I asked for Petit Bateau or Coccoli, the sales associtate said they don't carry those lines. I thought this store was suppose to have everything. I guess not.
2. I bought a dresser from them a year ago and one of the drawers came damaged. I let the sales associate know and she said she'd order me a BRAND NEW DRESSER. When time came for the 2nd delivery, I clarified with her I was getting a WHOLE NEW DRESSER. She said yes. When it arrived, the 2 delivery guys were too LAZY to take the old one down 2 flight of stairs and bring the new one up. They also said they were to only switch out the drawer. I was given a new drawer....I wasn't mad but disappointed. Don't promise things you can't deliver on!
I rather go to Jonathan Kaye in San Francisco. They have everything Lullaby Lane has plus more. You deal with the same 3 or 4 sales associates so there is no confusion. It's also in a NICER neighborhood and they price match too!
Eventhough I live in the East Bay, I made the trek across the bridge to visit their stroller selection (OK, and to play with the Orbit Baby system in person). Have to say, their stroller guy rocked it. He quickly cued in, in terms of understanding I was feeling overwhelmed by the vast selection and options the store has available, and he really kept his spiel short and sweet while still giving me a lot of relevant info.
I have also ordered from their online store - and was super happy with the service and the turnaround. (One item was back ordered so they called to reconfirm I had seen the message on the website)
"So they replaced the bunk bed and it was hassle free. They took the old one away and built a new one. Josie helped a lot, so it would be best for Lullaby Lane to keep her, since she is really great. My husband called her to ask a few questions and even he was surprised at the difference in service experience. Good job at taking criticism and making changes. I am also glad I can recommend Lullaby Lane again, since I am not a big box fan."

Okay, so my aunt had a cute little baby girl. However, it's time for my Mom and I to pony up the crib we promised her. Ugh, what a daunting task.
So, a couple of months ago, we went to Lullaby Lane and boy o boy did I almost start having convulsions. I damn near threw up baby food I ate when I was a wee baby looking at all the disgustingly sickly cute stuff. It almost made me want a mini-me. Then I saw prices for some of the craziest looking high tech strollers. The cribs are understandably and reasonably priced but the strollers. Man, it's like a down payment on a Lotus or Bentley. As a matter of fact, I've never seen a buggie fold over, in and out in so many gosh darn different ways.
This place gets 5 stars for the men who demo Megatron and Optimus Prime strollers with finesse!!!
Update 12/19/07: After waiting almost six months for a dresser, we end up getting something that is crappily built, smells toxic and then have to deal with a bitchy customer service rep. Boo, I take back anything I said below, forget family business values, these guys should have the experience and knowledge to not stock sucky items from poser baby companies. I'm sparing them with two stars.

Original review:
Wifey ordered a Nursery Works dresser from Lullaby Lane. While we're still waiting for the dresser (see my displeasure at: http://www.yelp.com/bi...), the folks here were kind enough to give us a loaner one in the meantime.
It's that sort of service that makes you realize that these are people who know babies and kids, and the tumultuousness of being a new parent.
Family owned since the late forties, you gotta love that.
My husband and I took our first trip to Lullaby Lane today and we regret that we did not discover this store sooner.
We have always gone to Babies R' Us although we HATED it because we thought it was the only baby shop around this area. What a waste of time!
We went to LL to check out strollers in-store and they have such a good variety of strollers, from inexpensive ones to high-end Bugaboos and Stokkes. They even carry the new UK brand Quinny stroller, which is real hot right now. The best part is, they have models on the floor so you can push it around and really get a feel for what you're buying. The sales team at the stroller section were super extremely helpful and patient. We asked them to show us how to take-down/set-up a couple strollers, and they answered all of our questions.
Bottom Line:
Great variety of products for pregnant moms and babies. Lots of items for your little one. We are fans.
Price: VERY comparable to local stores, even Babies R' Us. For example, we bought a toy from Babies for $9.79, and LL charges $10.00 for the same toy.
Customer Service: The sales were non-pushy, non-intrusive, approachable, knowledgeable, and friendly. They even pointed out pros and cons of the strollers according to the age of our child. The sales people do not get commission, at least that's according to the very nice and super helpful sales.
Tips: They accept competitor coupons from other baby stores (e.g., Babies R' Us, Toys R' Us) , and will price match (but not to online prices).
Going to this store can be a little intimidating because of its size, but their customer service more than makes up for it. They have all the things you could possibly need for a baby, from furniture and strollers to small things like blankets and pacifiers. I recently ordered items online for a baby shower, and requested in-store pick up. The items were ready within an hour, and when I got there, the items were gift wrapped and ready to go. I hadn't even asked for gift wrapping! It definitely made my life a whole lot easier. Don't let the size of the store intimidate you - it's well worth it to venture inside!
Before my son was born, my husband and I did the majority of our baby shopping at Lullaby Lane (or Lame, as I call it) because it was the only "superstore" in the wider area. It was one of the most disappointing experiences while we were in that phase. Here is the letter I had to write to LL so that they could address some of their problems:
* * *
To whom it concerns:
I received a customer feedback card with my last purchase receipt, therefore I assume that you actually wish to receive feedback on the Lullaby Lane shopping experience.
My husband and I have spent nearly $4,000 --- that's right, $4,000 --- at your store, which we found through word of mouth, and the experience was unsatisfactory.
- Upon checkout, we were made to wait 15 minutes while the checkout cashier answered a phone call at the register and talked to a customer at length. She should have taken a message or put the caller on hold to find someone else to finish our checkout as quickly as possible.
- During this same visit, we were told by a sales associate that item XYZ was in stock, but it wasn't in the end, and we were not notified until delivery time. I had to call the store several times just to prompt an answer about the ordered item and when it would be eventually delivered by UPS. Not once did someone voluntarily call me back and leave a simple message.
- At our second trip --- as we always give stores a second chance --- the cashier who was ringing up our clothes asked me if I was having twins, a totally irrelevant question. If I buy a lot of clothes and spend $600, what business is it of the cashier to ask personal questions? A more professional conversation starter would have been, "So many cute clothes for your little guy! Did you find everything OK?"
- When the delivery came to our home, the delivery men forgot an item in the truck, which had to be sent by UPS at your cost. And they scratched the side of our brand-new Dutailier glider-rocker!
- Last but not least, I bought an item online, and when I thought I had made a mistake with the item, I emailed the email address given on your site and received no reply whatsoever to my inquiry. No email, not even a courtesy call. Why bother posting an email address if emails from paying customers go unanswered?
After these repeat experiences at Lullaby Lane, I can say that the service was well below average and deserves a poor rating. It was a very disappointing experience for a life stage so happy and exciting for an expectant couple. Maybe you don't really care in the end.
Huge. Lots of friendly and helpful staff (offered me a cart when I looked overburdened with shopping, looked up prices and dimensions on stuff I wanted to comparison shop...)
minus 1 star for prices
pro: easy suburban parking
one stop shopping.
had the best price for my Stokke changing table cover
carries under the nile
