3 reviews for Luigi's Restrnt
This is a Fayetteville institution. Luigi's has been consistently wonderful for years. This family owned restaurant serves up some of the best Italian food I have had. I actually used to work here as well, so I really know the inner workings of this place and still love it!
Some of my favorites are the calamari, their she crab soup (which is homemade), their salad dressings (which are homemade- the best is the blue cheese in my opinion), chicken with artichokes (comes with a lemony sauce), good old spaghetti (which you can get a side of with any entree), and tiramisu (also homemade).
Luigi's is a great place for lunch and dinner. Lunch for me usually consists of a cup of she crab soup and a salad with that blue cheese dressing I love. I also ask for an extra side of the dressing to dip my bread in. So bad, but so good! They do serve oil, balsamic, and spices with the bread if you don't want to be silly like me and use dressing!
A Carrabba's opened down the street, but it didn't slow down any of Luigi's business so that should tell you something. I still prefer them over Carrabba's any day.
There is a nice full bar and an extensive wine list. The staff are trained to suggest perfect wine and food pairings. This is a place where you can pop in in jeans, come in after church, celebrate prom, or even have a dressed up romantic dinner for two.
There are usually specials, one of which is their Fra Diavlo dishes which are spicy and satisfying. The family who owns Luigi's is Greek so they know their food and know it well. Most nights you can find them taking you to your seat, chatting with guests, or cooking up the dishes they are so well known for serving.
If you are in Fayetteville and in the mood for some excellent Italian food, this is THE place to go. If you are new to living in Fayetteville, this will no doubt be a frequent part of your dining out experiences!
Enjoy!
Really good meat sauce spaghetti. Really good chicken parmigiana. Really long wait, really nice place. Really friendly service. Calamari was yum. Antipasti salad was great.
The price was in line with the service & food we received. Bill was about $80 for 3 people and we were happy to pay it. We're from San Francisco and Italian places can be very good out there. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a warm and inviting place near Fort Bragg, NC! The wait (Friday night) was about 30 minutes. We just went for a walk around the block.
The hostess was super nice. The restaurant is a family owned business, apparently a Fayetteville landmark. The original owner passed away, but he left with him a great restaurant that I hope he's proud of. Looking inside, I saw a diverse group of people enjoying their food and company. The interior decor is pleasant and the restrooms were clean.
I will come back here if I am ever in the Ft. Bragg area again. Our soldier was happy after dinner.
Where my cousin taught me how to pair wines with foods!
