We've been here twice now, and both times i got the crazy chicken Cajun sandwich. Both were perfect. Juicy and a teensy bit spicy. The burger was amazing the first time, and overcooked the 2nd. Still better than most, according to hubby. The curly fries are like arby's. The homemade chips are my fav so far, also the sweet potato fries.

The decor makes me smile every time. There's a sculpture of a dog peeing over the head of one of the tables. Ha!

I LOVED this place.  WHile escaping the NYC hustle and bustle for a weekend of leaf peaking by husband and I stumbled across this restaurant.  We had a great time.  I got the teriyaki burger and LOVED it.  People were friendly and it was a good mix of tourists and locals.  I would defiantly go there again if I was in the area.

Have been going here since the Bull and Bear Haus days.

Changed "ownership" under shady circumstances... but who cares.

Some of the best food in town, in one of the most laid back atmospheres in town, a real Gem.

I've always been a fan of the chicken fingers (can't mess those up) but everything they offer is just top notch Tavern style food with some fun dishes that'll keep you coming back week after week.

NOTE: This review is based on the restaurant only.

This restaurant/bar is a popular college hangout. The upstairs portion houses the restaurant and the Pound downstairs with live entertainment, food and drinks.

After skiing, we had dinner at the Lucky Dog last evening. We were seated immediately with no wait in the triangular shaped dining room with wooden walls and tables and booths (padded seating) and a small bar counter. The dining area is very casual tastefully and the walls are decorated with lots of artsy pictures. There's even a statue of dog ready to take a whiz.

The menu offers pub appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, steaks, chicken, seafood, Mexican items, kids menu, and desserts. A beer, wine, hot drinks, and frozen drinks list is available at each table. There's also a bread and cheese bar and a salad bar in the dining room. Prime Rib is served on Friday and Saturday nights. See the menu at http://www.luckytavern...

Our waitress promptly took our drink orders while we looked over the menu and posted specials. For starters, the Fried Calamari Fra Diavalo (sauteed in hot peppers and served with marinara sauce) was very greasy and a bit chewy, nonetheless spicy tasting. The 20 item Salad Bar (add $2.95 with any entre) was very basic and offered fresh greens/lettuce, garnishes, cottage cheese, tuna salad, bowtie pasta salad, and 6 dressings. I could smell the tuna odor. There's also a slice your own bread and cheese station too!

For dinner, the Shrimp Scampi (jumbo shrimp, diced tomatoes, grated cheese, & oil over fettuccine) was okay and decent tasting. The fettuccine was very soft/mushy and seemed like it was soaking in hot water all day. The Chicken Chimichanga was greasy on the outside and stuffed with marinated chicken, cheese & sour cream and served with rice pilaf, guacamole, salsa, and more sour cream on the side. The dish was filling with too much sour cream on the plate. The chimichanga could've used more chicken and a lot less sour cream.

For dessert, the Toll House Pie with vanilla ice cream was very good and sweet, and had lots of chocolate and nuts, the best part of the meal.

Overall, the meal was okay, just average food. The service was good and attentive with refills offered on Diet Cokes and timely delivery of the food. We enjoyed the interesting atmosphere of the restaurant. For now, a solid 3 stars.

    NOTE: No separate checks.

We eat here nearly every time we are in the area. Great steak tips and nice beer selection. Great choice for the Plymouth area.  Kid friendly too.

This place is pretty awesome - we checked out this place on a recommendation from the inn keeper. I enjoyed the bread and cheese station while we were waiting for our table. Our server was friendly and had some helpful suggestions on the menu and the beer list. I had the tuna, it was on the specials menu, and it was pretty good.

The downstairs looked like it could be fun on a busy night.

We purchased a couple Lucky Dog pint glasses for souvenirs!

Great food and an awesome environment. This place is in the middle of no where but the sandwiches are terrific

    Stopped here after skiing.
I had clam chowder and a burrito.  It sounds like a weird combo (my choice, not theirs) but they were both great.  It was the best burrito I've had in the east (they actually know what mexican salsa is).  Loved the cheese platter and bread station. Everything was cozy and tasty.

While I do love the Lucky Dog restaurant itself, I'm all for the tavern downstairs.  By far one of the best if not the best bar in Plymouth.  My friends and I rarely consider going elsewhere.  They have theme nights but I have always found the weekends to be the most fun.  They have dj's that play all the hottest music as well as good drinks.  How could you go wrong there?  I say if your in the area Lucky Dog is a must hit whether your eating or going out for the night.  Now I only got to find a place like this after I graduate.

The shape of the buiding got our attention. We first tried the outside deck, with 3 tables it was small and beside the bar. We were driven back up stairs due to the deck was next to the smoking area, yuck. I got the tips, Tina got the quesadillas. I thought mine was typical, not bad, not great. Tina enjoyed hers. I thought the prices a little on the high side for what you get. Good selection at the bar and fair pricing, although the bar area needs some work. $30 with tip for dinner, waitress typical, just went through the motions. A little different is the hugh block of cheese and crackers and bread you help yourself to.

gets a 2 star in the interest of no grade inflation, but we were pleasantly surprised driving through this tiny town late at night.

extensive menu, many veg options, fine quality for bar food...

the waiter was kind, the bathroom is called the outhouse, strange lighting (almost impossible to see your food, not a bad thing if you order the salad bar), good music playing in the background.

Great pit stop on way back from Mt Washington. Delicious mushroom burger and moist chicken sandwich. Nice server too.

Nice atmosphere, friendly service, menu full of BBQ that I didn't try. Probably good, though. Only thing in town open Sunday night.

I probably eat here more than I should but the food is good and the staff is excellent. Meals range from good to very good but are consistent. Price is reasonable for the portion and quality, probably the best deal in town.
