8 reviews for Luca's Ristorante And Pizzeria
Luca's is one of the few reasons why I am glad my parents live in Lake Stevens. I might have never discovered Luca's!
It is some of the best damn Italian food I have ever had in Seattle. The location is random and out of the way, but that makes it a hidden gem. That I am making known to you!
The pizza is thin crust, and marvelous. Make sure to try the butternut squash Ravioli and any of the pizzas or the Chicken Parmesan. Simple yet perfectly in tune wine list, and fresh pastas and bread.
It's cozy, family-oriented, romantic, and remains some of the most exceptional service I have ever received from any restaurant. And sometimes it has live acoustic music! You never see that anymore! Luca is such a sincere and genuine guy who is very passionate about the food and your experience coming here. If he is there--know he will go out of his way to make sure you leave charmed.
I can't be any more impressed, you will be blown away upon leaving here.
I tried this place couple of times to see if I might like it but... Sorry.. I think Stouffers lasagna is far better than Luca's. Wine wasn't pretty good & over priced. Service was pretty bad. We had to wait a long time to ask question about certain dish. We had true Italian dish when we visited Italy & it's not even close to Lucas.
Either we have been picking a wrong day & wrong time or something but we just decided not to waste our money at this place.
Pizza and ravioli are fabulous! Came out to visit my cousins in Everett and they recommended Luca's. Let's come here again.
I hate to let the cat out of the bag, but since Luca's is all the way up in Lake Stevens and most yelpers are Seattle-based, I'm hoping distance will keep people away. Luca's is busy enough already, and for good reason. The food here is AMAZING, probably the best Italian I've had on the West Coast.
The restaurant is small and in a strip mall. If you're not careful, you'll drive right by it, so be sure to pay attention if you do venture to the wilds of Lake Stevens.
The menu appears small, but the waitress will inform you of all the variations and specials for the evening. When at Luca's, if you don't see or hear something you want, all you have to do is describe what your lusting after and they'll happily make it up for you.
A lot of the pastas are homemade, as is the bread. They have three types of bread: real, honest Italian (not French!) bread, a foccacia, and another one that I can't remember right now. Fear not, whatever ends up on your table will be authentic-Italian and absolutely delicious.
Main dishes are memorable. Their fettucini bolognese is sweet, meaty, and fresh with wide, handmade noodles that are like nothing else you've tasted. The 4-cheese ravioli is creamy and satisfying. Basically, you cannot get a bad meal here. I don't think it's possible.
Save room for a cup of coffee--it's seductively rich and goes well with their creamy and crisp cannoli.
Since I'm giving Luca's 5-stars, I may as well go ahead and let you in one two more secrets about this place:
1) If you go, make sure you get a reservation and request Megan. She's very knowledgeable and will make sure you feel right at home. She's a rare breed--a waitress who wants to make sure you enjoy your dining experience.
2) If you go on a Tuesday night, all the wine is half price when you buy it by the bottle--and if you don't finish your bottle, they'll cork it for you so you can take it home. Nice.
I love Italian food, and this really is among the best I've ever had. Luca's is full of surprises, so if you find yourself in Lake Stevens, check it out. Just be sure to bring an empty stomach!
The food was fantastic and well worth the drive. Gnocci and salad were both super excellent!
This really is a great find. A strip mall in Lake Stevens? All I can say is that the other reviewers here are right on about Luca's. The food is rustic and delicious, the wine list excellent and the prices incredibly reasonable. The only strikes against it are the lack of really professional service and the atmosphere. I'll have to go back to try the pizza and the desserts.
I have to say that Elaine H. hit the nail right on the head. The food was delicious- when we finally got it. The service was lacking. The only other thing I feel to mention is that I thought the portion was on the small side. I ordered the Gnocci that night and it was fabulous! But there was a lot of sauce and not nearly enough Gnocci. It was the first time I went to an Italian restaurant and didn't take home leftovers. I look forward to going back to try the pizza as well- I hear it's out of this world.
The best authentic Italian food you will find. Don't come here if you want a bunch of Americanized Italian food! The Four Formagi pizza is so awesome! The Gorgonzola and smoked mozzarella just make it perfect. The mista salad is indescribably delicious. I agree with other reviewers that the homemade butternut squash ravioli is a winner big time! The service here is usually pretty inconsistent, if the owner is around she picks up the slack but if she isn't it's just a bunch of high schoolers who are pretty forgetful but nice enough to keep you from getting to frustrated.
