Ask if you don't see it in the window, they may be able to get it for you.
We had been looking for a coat rack for many months. A basic, standing, coat rack/hall tree....no bench or anything. One would think that would be easy to find but its not. Luckily, I noticed one in the window of Lubinski Furniture.
However, we didn't like that particular coat rack, so Ken pulled out a catalog with PAGES full of coat racks and told us he could have any one of them by Thursday (which was just a few days away). He was informative and warned us which coat racks may break. We decided on a $40 model. They offered to assemble the rack for free.
Thursday came and we received a call that the coat rack we had chosen was out of stock. The gentleman on the phone asked if we would like to come in and select another. We dropped by that weekend, chose another one, which was supposed to arrive in a few days. We were told they would call. They didn't call, and when we called approximately one week after we chose our second coat rack, they said to come in and pick it up.
Get this...waiting for us, assembled, was the $80 coat rack we had admired but decided we didn't need to spend that much. I don't know which staff member was paying attention to our conversation, or why they gave us such a discount...it wasn't like the week delay in delivery was so irritating or anything...they just said "consider it a holiday gift".
I wouldn't expect all customers to be so lucky, but I can tell you all three people I spoke with here were very helpful and, obviously, generous. They refused to let us pay the difference so I guess the best I can do in return is forward this to everyone on my friend list. Remember, if they don't have it in the store, they may be able to get it for you.
There is parking in the alley behind! -

I placed and paid for my order on 8/30/2011, today is 10/6/2011 and I still have not received my correct furniture order. First they delivered the wrong chairs, then they delivered the wrong dining room table. As of today, I am still waiting for the right dining room table. Every time I call to check up on my order, I am told it will delivered next week, then the next week. They have not once called me to update the status of my order, I have to call them. DO NOT SHOP HERE. There are plenty of other furniture stores on Milwaukee to choose from.

I went in an ordered a dresser and paid $20 extra for next day delivery.
I missed the first time they tried to deliver, my bad.
The second time they came to deliver, they dropped the dresser down the stairs. Okay sure, accidents happen.
Then I was notified that was the last dresser of that particular style they had in stock, so they'd have to reorder it.
Ken there kept telling me different dates that they'd receive it. One month later, I received my dresser. No refund on the $20 for same day delivery, but he promised me to send an extra special free gift for my wait. I did not receive any free gift at all.
I didn't get to spend a lot of time in the store because I found out what I wanted right away. It's a big store though, so you should check it out while furniture shopping on Milwaukee.
Ken there is the main salesman (I think). He's a nice guy with a good sense of humor.
The prices are CHEAP! My dresser was only $240 (including tax and the fee for the next day shipping). -

This place is great. My husband and I were looking for furniture for our new apartment. We'd been living on folding chairs for days and were not willing to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get a couch. Our dining room set and couch were delivered a couple days later. Stupidly, we ordered a couch that was too big to fit in our apartment. They took it back and delivered the new one we picked out a couple days later. No charge. Free delivery. The best part was that the new couch was cheaper and they returned the difference. Great customer service. Great prices.

After receiving a generous wedding gift from some family members, we decided to buy a bedroom set. We walked up and down Milwaukee Ave, and went a about 5 stores and Lubinski's was by far the best selection and the friendliest staff. Ken is very non-pressuring but still attentive. If you have a question or want more information he is there but he doesn't follow you around like they do in some stores.
We ended up purchasing a set that they didn't have in stock - based on the picture we saw in a catalog he had. I am usually a very timid buyer and was hesitant about buying something I hadn't seen in person, but my fiancee loved the set and Ken gave us a very reasonable deal - around $1,000 for a 6-piece set! And that includes the tax, delivery and assembly. Delivery + assembly is only $35 for Chicago!
We had planned to have the furniture delivered today at 10am. At 10:20, I called Ken and found out that the first item on their delivery truck was causing some problems and they would be delayed. Around 11:30 I started to get nervous because we had scheduled the elevator from 9-12 and I didn't know if we had the elevator past that time.
At 12:30, they finally showed up and apologized for running late. They quickly unloaded the furniture and assembled it with no further problems.
In general, they were friendly to work with fairly accommodating. I just wish that if they knew they were going to be late, they would have called me, rather then making me call them repeatedly. I guess they can't really control other people/deliveries, but it's nice to keep your customers in the loop. If they had called and/or had been on time for delivery, I probably would have given them 5 stars... -

Thanks guys! I live right next to a furniture store, opted not to go because of it's reviews. Instead after reading rave reviews I decided to try this place out, it took me a total of 2 hours to pick a bed out, pay, and have my bed delivered!! I am so impressed with them, if I need anymore furniture I WILL go there first!

Listen! If you need furniture or movers, call Lubinski and go see Ken! He is the best and really fair. He made us feel like family and I refuse to go anywhere else now. When I go to that store I look forward to dealing with Ken because he's honest, funny, and really helpful. I can't say enough about his moving crews too. They have moved us in/out of two homes and have delivered new furniture to us too. Never a mark on the walls or a scratch on our furniture, and man are they fast! I wish more business that I dealt with took a page from the Lubinski book, I would have a lot less headaches.

Ken, the owner is a great guy - not pushy, gets out of the way to give you the space to browse. Delivery was free and fast. Great prices as well. Only drawback was that all selections may not be available immediately - when the dining table I wanted was not in stock, Ken promised free delivery within 3 days - so it worked out after all. Will definitely use again.

On NYE I decided that I needed to purchase a couch so I went down Milwaukee with a friend and we hit up a couple furniture stores. The minute I walked into Lubinski I met Ken who is the owner. He was very helpful and not pushy which I liked. I ended up finding a couch that I liked and I said to my friend that if I can get the couch delivered to me today I would purchase it. Ken informed me that he couldn't get it to me until a couple of days later. I was sad and ready to walk out of the store until Ken called me from across the room and told me that he just spoke with his delivery guys and he could have it to me in two hours. SOLD! The couch, delivery, and setup fee was so reasonable I definitely plan on going back to get a few more pieces to go with my couch. Highly reccomend this store!

I have shopped at Lubinski for years and purchased something on 5 different occasions. They are my go-to guys. I've gotten an entertainment center, beautiful pub table, mattress/box spring, and media console, as well as used their delightful movers once. Ken is so friendly and not a high pressure, skeezy salesman like some of the other furniture shops down Milwaukee. They have a large showroom, but you are not limited to the items at the store. They have a ton of catalogs that you can spend a ton of time looking through, or better yet you can do your shopping online before going to the store by going to their website. I did this for my most recent purchase and it was so easy! Didn't even go into the store and set everything up over the phone. Only problem with this method is that the 3 links on their website to their furniture distributors do not list prices, so you have to write down your favorites, then call back and get a price quote from an employee at Lubinski. They are reasonable with their pricing compared to other stores I shopped at, and they can deliver within 2 days. Their movers are so careful, quick, and nice! Overall wonderful experiences with this company. No wonder this place has been in business for so many years.

This place deserves its wealth of five-star reviews. I went here a couple of weeks ago after moving to the area, and Ken was affable, helpful and extremely low-pressure. Prices were quite reasonable and delivery was free, even though my order had to be brought over on two different days. Highly recommended.

It was the most painless experience of my life!
I went in on a Friday after work, told Ken Lubinski my budget and the next day I had a bed frame, mattress and box spring delivered to my house with free delivery!
They set it up and offered to take my old mattress away for me. I can not say anything bad or awful because it was all great. -

Bought a couch and two months later the arm was coming loose. Called and asked if it could be repaired. The owner sent two guys out the next day and quickly and quietly fixed it for free. I love the couch and the service...well done!!!!!

I can't say enough great things about the quality home furnishings, the affordability and amazing service that I received shopping at Lubinski's Furniture in Wicker Park. I've passed this place 20 times on my way to get my haircut at Art & Science, but always snubbed my nose since the exterior looks dumpy. However, it was the great reviews by fellow Yelpers that convinced me to give Lubinski's a shot. Yelpers were right! This place is amazing for furniture shoppers that are operating on what I call "Champagne tastes with a Beer budget." I'm in grad school for my MBA and still want a cute apartment, so this place was perfect! I bought an Ashley love-seat sofa and matching coffee table. Including tax and delivery (next day), I paid $400. I politely negotiated the pricing (which other Yelper's recommended doing -- not taking furniture at listed price) and promised that I would share my positive experience with buying from their store. When I graduate in May, I will look first at Lubinski's for furniture deals ... since I'll be back living on Champagne tastes mitigated by student loans. :)

I just came from Lubinski's. My parents and I had been searching for a new bed and were daunted by options at places like Crate and Barrel, West Elm and Arhaus Furniture. As soon as we walked into Lubinski's and met Ken (yes, Ken Lubinski), we knew we were in good hands. We got our entire bed set- frame, headboard, box spring, mattress AND a nightstand- for under $900... and they'll deliver and set up for free. Pretty impressive. This was a great find.

I've been furniture shopping for friends, and came across this store on a late night out when it was obviously closed, and was attracted to some of the furniture I had seen in the window. I stopped in during the day only to find that they were closed at 6pm on weekdays and 5pm on Saturdays. I reminded myself to get out of work a little earlier to make it before closing. The store looks at little scattered and doesn't have the showroom appeal that the chain stores like Wickes and Harlem furniture have, but maybe that's what they end up charging you extra for at those places. I didn't happen to find a few things I liked here, and found the sales person, Jimmy, to be very friendly and helpful. He also gave me a catalog to look at other items that weren't in the store. He wasn't pushy at all, and gave me a great deal on the set if I wanted it. They also have free delivery if you live nearby. Unfortunately, it wasn't me that was the one buying the stuff and had to wait for my friend's input. I really liked this brown leather couch in the catalog and would have loved to buy it, but you just have to sit on it before you can buy. Pictures cant do justice to the way you'd feel sitting on the couch...
