Beautiful venue for my cousin's wedding. It was a different side of Hawaii, and just made it all the more spectacular. My cousin said her vows in the backdrop of luscious green mountains under a beautiful sunny sky.
The reception room was also gorgeous, but I do have to question the itty bitty dance floor. The food was pretty good, I did enjoy the poke very much! I thought the meat tasted a little too sweet though.
I have a few criticisms, so why am I giving this place 5 stars?
Luana Hills Country Club, you have really cute waiters especially one I had my eye on the whole night. Actually, all the women in my family were checking him out! Ladies, if you ever come here, you'll know which one I'm talking about.

Had my high school graduation party here only for the brunch.

Good variety of food and awesome view of the mountains.

I was invited here by some friends who live in Kailua.  They took me to a dinner buffet.  There was luau pork, roast beef, chicken, lamb and prime rib.  There were about 10 different types of salads, including pasta and orzo.  I ate about five pieces of haupia pudding, and then washed that down with some bread pudding smothered in sauce.  Dinner was off the hook.  The best buffet I've had in a long time.   I didn't realize my friends liked me so much!

(They have a pretty good golf course here, too.)

A truely unique golf experience. The first Pete Dye course in Hawaii. Two different nine hole lay outs, each a delight to view. Often called the "Jurrasic Park of Hawaii".  You don't need your driver on to many holes, but you do need to be able to play target golf if you want to score. But, he forget about scoring, enjoy the absolutely wonderful views from every hole on the course. They sometimes switch the nines around, so I am not sure how you will play it. Every hole has it's own unique view, but on the lower nine (usually the back nine) 12th hole (although could be the 11th if the Pond Hole is closed), is especially beautiful from the tee.

The staff is friendly, especially the guys working in the cart area.

About mid range in Hawaii golf prices, but a course you will not forget.

Beautiful course in the middle of a rain forrest. Just as gorgeous as Ko'olau but less frustrating. Back nine was very difficult and it helped paring up with a local walk-on. I found a deal on http://www.teetimeshaw.../.
