Linda is an incredibly talented salonist. I am especially grateful that she was so gracious as to let me reschedule my appointment after I had majorly screwed up the first appointment I had scheduled with her.
I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to my hair, so I really need a great salonist that has great taste and that I can trust so that I can just walk in as and say "Do what your artistic inspiration takes you!" And she did just that!
She cut beautiful layers and picked a color that was perfect for my skin tone & eye color and did all the right touch ups with my old streaks and dry hair so that I was ready to go on a runway.
She's also an incredibly multi-faceted woman - you've got to hear about the stories this tough cookie has up her sleeve!
I'm looking forward to the start of a great salonist-customer relationship -

I have to disagree with many of these reviews unfortunately.
I felt extremely unwelcome my entire appointment. I tried to brush off the fact that she didn't say one word to me the whole time. I thought, maybe she's having a bad day...however she was talking to the other hairdresser and that hairdresser's client.
Pluses: Although their was a misunderstanding of what I wanted for my haircut, she did take the extra time to try and fix it (...while sighing every 5 seconds to make sure I was aware that I was an inconvenience)
I'm pretty sure this 2nd class treatment was a result of me booking using a deal. I understand she does not get paid as much when someone uses a deal they bought, but if she didn't WANT customers to actually use them, then don't run a deal- simple as that. My last piece of advice: If you treat someone like a "one time" customer, then they will definitely only be a one time customer. Food for thought.
I will not be going back to L'Shear to say the least. -

She's a good stylist, but it's not worth having to listen to her complain and the numerous phone calls she receives while sitting in her chair.

I was severly overdue for a haircut, and found L'Shear through a Living Social deal. I decided to go for it, because the location of the salon was so close to where I work, and after looking at the reviews of the salon on Yelp, I was sold. Today I got a fabulous cut from Linda. I'm very happy with it, Linda spent the time to make it perfect, and I'll be back.
Bonus was the little wonderfully behaved papillion service dog who let me pet it while I waited for my appointment time. -

I came in with long hair and asked her to take it up to my shoulders. She said okay and started to cut from the back. By the time I noticed, I was well on my way to a short bob! I was speechless. I know it's only hair and that it will grow back but I was holding back tears. When I told her this was not what I wanted and she started to get a little offended. Made me feel really uncomfortable. Even though I didn't ask for the bob, I felt there was no style to it. It was just cut one length. Very traditional for 2011. I was disappointed. Hopefully it was just an off day.

Just when I was about fed up with my hair, this Bloomspot offer popped up in my email with L'Shear's offer. I figured, why the heck not, the reviews on here are all great and I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to my hair.
The salon is tucked away in an office building, but you wouldn't think that upon entering the salon. It is very chic but cozy at the same time. I was greeted by Linda, and she made me feel welcome immediately. She sat me down and asked me a bunch of questions about my daily routine and type of job I have to get an idea of the best cut for my lifestyle.
We did my color first, and since I do just all over red, it didn't take too long. She mixed a lovely red that turned out super rich and I could tell it would fade out nicely (as all reds do!).
Once we got to the cut, I had told her I'm growing my hair out from this super A-line, and didn't want much off the ends. I mostly needed reshaping, and she did an amazing job! I ended up purchasing the Moroccan hair oil she used on me, and it is the best thing for finishing my hair.
I can't recommend Linda enough, I had a great time chatting with her while waiting for my hair to process. I'm hoping to go back for a Brazilian blowout soon! -

Linda gave me the best hair cut ever, worth every dollar indeed. She is an expert and knows her trade. Gee Gosh Golly Wow it was as if she knew me and my hair. I look forward to going back to her she knows how to work with your personality and your individual hair for your face type and personality. She is very patient as others have mentioned and a kind soul with a touch of class and I cannot forget to mention her happy joy joy spirit. So glad we have crossed paths. Linda also volunteers and uses her professional time to help women that have been shattered by abuse. She gives them a kind caring ear and a wonderful makeover and is a blessing to many.
God loves you Linda : ) and me too ! -

Linda is fantastic. She owns the salon and I have been a client of hers for years and seen the salon expand from one room into the amazing space it is today, with the facial room and expanded product offering... Linda set me up with a great facial line that has transformed my skin.
If your looking for great quality, check out Linda a L'Shear. -

Nazzi, the therapist merely posing as a top-notch hair stylist, provides a wonderful service in this downtown salon. She really listens to you and offers advice on style, which is helpful when you are a moderately to severely clueless guy. Expensive, but worth it if you are serious about this hair business. Thanks Nazzi.

Nazzi, the best hairdresser ever has moved here from Renzo. If you want the most beautiful hair that you can keep up go here. It is a little pricey but worth it b/c it is so well done.

My best hairdressers have all been in NYC and when the one stylist I liked in SF moved to LA from Di Pietro Todd, I searched for years to find the righ stylist. I was not disappointed. I LOVE my new haircut. I actually feel pretty.

I was feeling down and was in dire need for a pick-me-up, it just so happened that bloomspot was featuring a deal for a cut and partial highlight at L'Shear. I went with it and I am so glad that I did! Super convenient location, right in the heart of the financial district, actually in the same building as my doctor, what a coincidence! I called on a Saturday afternoon, which is appointment only and closed on Sundays, Linda (salon owner) still called me back and left the sweetest message. I called Linda back on Monday and she was able to get me in the same day, even after 5, and was such a sweet woman. I was still feeling super down and Linda has a way about her that can put a smile on anyone's face! All I had to show Linda was a silly photo of myself on my iPhone with a request for a similar shaggy haircut. I had no idea what color I wanted to highlight my hair nor the exact type of shag cut. She gave me a glass of wine and worked her magic while we had a nice chat. I was in and out within an hour and a half, with an entirely new hair do! This was about 3 weeks ago and everyday since I had multiple compliments on my hair! Thanks Linda!
