I dined here on a friday night during the summer. We didn't have reservations but came around 6:30 and got a table. everyone who came in after us was told it would be a 45 minute wait because there were numerous reservations upcoming. the food was great! we ordered the okra as our appetizer and it was very flavorful. i dined here while doing the whole 30 and the waitress made sure to accommodate my meal to what I couldn't eat. i got the special which was swordfish and it came with mixed vegetables. it was a nice piece of fish and really good. the ambiance of the restaurant was very quaint and reminded me of Last Resort in downtown. the parking is minimal but definitely places to park. it's near J Christopher's in Five.

The atmosphere and aesthetic is the real winner here and can't be beat. The food, however, leaves a little to be desired given the price tag. I was not impressed, and nothing I had was memorable. The beer selection is very much ok, but after a few beers you start running out of options pretty quickly. This seems like a good place for a work dinner or something, but I probably won't be coming back.

Went on a Saturday night and got right in with no wait. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and our server was fantastic. The food is where it goes downhill for us. The menu is pretty limited in choices. Our table of four split an okra appetizer and fried green tomatoes. The okra had a burnt flavor and was so-so. The fried green tomatoes was about a half of a tomato fried on top a grilled veggies and salad. The fried tomatoes were good but very small. Used to getting a whole slice of tomato fried when you order fried green tomatoes. I had the chicken on top of puréed sweet potatoes. Dish was nothing special. My wife had the grouper special on top of potatoes. Again nothing special. The wine we ordered was good and priced nicely.

New favorite upscale Athens Restaurant! Would highly recommend! Everything was delicious and unique! Shrimp and Grits is definitely the best in town! The desserts are well worth it too! Try the cheesecake and strawberry lemonade chess pie!

Two part review:
Part 1: Dinner was a disaster. Cold food and coffee, literally raw meat, rude service (& often wrong about menu). I love love love Last Resort, but get it together! 1.5 stars
Part 2:
A month ago, LRG catered an event for me and did an AMAZING job. Menu was well balanced and executed perfectly, and I couldn't be happier. Guests were raving about it!! 5 stars.

The Atmosphere is lovely, very nice design, seems like a very classy place. Unfortunately I was not impressed by the food. The prices are high, but they are what I would expect from a nice restaurant. The food however was not enjoyable. The ceviche was fine and the nachos were okay, but they both seemed to be based more on looks than on flavor. The service was very nice, they were very attentive and helpful with the menu.

LRG Provisions is a good restaurant with a great bar. The food is cooked well and tastes good, but the menu is limited. In addition, their menu is a little over priced. I don't mind a limited and expensive menu so long as the food offered is exceptional. LRG falls just shy of exceptional and thus doesn't justify the price. Their brunch on the other hand is exceptional, and I strongly suggest you try LRG for both meals to decide for yourself

The food was so good I wished I could have kept eating! We had the fried polenta, ceviche, amazing fried rice, and a steak dish. Pictures don't do it justice. The presentation was on-point. Super great service. And, the main dining room is so warm and cozy! Great atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. Parking was a little difficult. Call ahead and they'll give you advice.
