What a perfect shop for tea lovers!  I'm a huge tea lover and I'm always looking out for any tea-related trinkets.  I've never seen any store like this.  It definitely has an antique store vibe.
My sister-in-law and I had a great tea experience at Lovejoys today and went over to the Attic for shopping afterwards.  (You get a 10% discount on tea at the Attic after having "tea" at Lovejoy's).  I had to control my spending as there are so many great and unique items at great prices.  The selection of quality English tea cups is eclectic and displayed throughout the store.  I enjoyed looking at the quirky tea etiquette books and linens.  Items are "scattered" everywhere.
After a lot of browsing I ended up purchasing a bag of China Rose Petal tea.  (This is the tea I just enjoyed at the restaurant.  All of the tea at the restaurant is available at the Attic.  Each type of tea has a description on the glass canisters and there are even sniffing containers for each tea.)  I bought an adorable cream and sugar porcelain set from Germany, silver sugar spoons and gold sugar tongs.  I love my new treasures!
The customer service by Emily was knowledgeable and fantastic!  Emily followed up with a phone call later in the day regarding some prices on napkins I was interested in.
I'll definitely be back later in the year for Christmas shopping...

After Lovejoy we had to hit Lovejoy Attic across the street. It is a very cute store of all the tea accessory you need. Plus you can buy tea that is offer at Lovejoy to bring home. There is lots to see in the store and just all so cute. Was looking for a apron with ducks on it but they didn't have one.

I'm a self-professed whimpy coffee drinker, but I love my teas.  They have a huge variety of them, in 2 package sizes - $6.50 or the $9 version.  I bought a package of the blood orange.  They have tiny tins of the tea for you to open and sniff and that orange aroma was intoxicating.
There are tea cups, teapots, strainers, honey, sugar tongs and tiered trays that you fold down to put your crumpets and scones on to serve your Alice in Wonderland guests.  My friend bought one that was a snowman and she was so happy to find out it was 1/2 off (about $10 out the door) to boot.  No signs to indicate it was on sale.

There are used towels and table linen.  At $5 for someone's used towel, I'd rather buy new ones elsewhere without the stains.  Feels like you "sort of" walked into an antique store.

In the back bookcase, there are Alice in Wonderland decorated teapots and cups.  Another adjoining room has more linen and stuff.  It's like a semi-antique store.  I spotted some cute Japanese-theme dishes with Mt. Fuji decorated on it and a Chinese dragon/gold decorated teapot which you can probably pick-up in Chinatown. They were selling it for $25.  It's a good place to kill time if you're waiting for a table across the street at Lovejoy's Tea Room.  The salesgirl at the desk wasn't very friendly & looked bored.

Back home, I was anxious to try the blood orange tea.  As I poured it out of the bag, I noticed there were no perceptible tea leaves, just dried orange pieces.  It tasted tart and citrusy after brewing.  The next time, I added some tea leaves and it tasted much better.  It still smelled great, if you don't drink it, guess you can use it as potpourri.

Craving that tea you tried across the street at Lovejoy's? It's much cheaper here. You can also get all sorts of tea sets and serving stands for snacks. (They're well priced, too. I was really close to buying one for $18). There are also posters and tea paraphernalia left over from Lovejoy's.

There's even tea themed shirts (even for babies). The husband liked folding over letters to make them change from "Tea shirt" to "eat shit." Yeah, um, hand's off, ladies. He's mine.

Lovejoy's Attic is the perfect place to find a cute gift for a tea connoisseur, a collector of fine china, or anyone who loves adorable, feminine things!  This fabulous-but-tiny shop sells loose leaf teas of high quality, containers of clotted cream, lemon curd, British tea biscuits, colorful teapots, fine bone china, adorable tea spoons, tea strainers, vintage purses and glassware, china dishes, cute placecard holders, tiered tea service trays, and all other things that a tea shop could sell!!

The owner is sometimes around and is a very sweet woman, always full of smiles, and she'll sometimes give you a discount if you purchase a number of items, a practice which I've always felt is good business!

I helped my parents put together a quick gift to bring on the plane to their friends as "thank you for your hospitality" gift:  from Lovejoy's Attic, a jar of clotted cream, one of lemon curd, several teaspoons and jam spreaders, and some loose leaf tea, all for about $22 or so!  We then grabbed some fresh Irish scones from that fabulous Irish bakery on Geary near 19th Avenue, and they had the perfect gift bag for under $30!!!

All in all, this store does what it does very well!  My only criticism is that it's not really wheelchair-friendly, even if it's technically accessible...it's so cluttered, it's barely accessible to the able-bodied bipeds, nevermind those who must resort to four wheels!

I would definitely recommend Lovejoy's Attic to anyone who enjoys all things tea!!!

I love fancy-pants tea, with the little tea pot and the cozy and the cups and the three tier cookie ladder thing .... but not so much the bill. well, this is the place to go if you're looking to recreate the experience at home, on a budget. Think of it as an investment.

A lot of the items at Lovejoy's Attic are antiques or homemade, so their stock varies every time you're there, but everything is pretty consistently in good condition. And the style is what you would expect from a little of lady named Estelle or something. She'd have all the right spoons, polished, five or eight different kinds of tea, real sugar cubes and she would still call it a facsimile machine or a cheque. She'd want you to have that tea pot with the matching cozy, because she'd be happy knowing you were happy and enjoying the teapot ...

And since you're picking out a teapot anyway, go check out the closet in back; they carry a lot of different teas. I've never bought any, but I assume it's the same as what they serve at Lovejoy's. And since you're picking out some tea, you may as well buy an apron and maybe a bag of those broken china bits to make a mosaic or a little coaster for your new teapot.

She's a cool lady, Estelle is, so next time you're in Noe Valley, stop by Lovejoy's Attic and take a look. Do it for Estelle.

Came here yesterday with the family to see if they had these cute little hooks they had last time we were here. They didn't, but the woman who worked there offered to check if they were going to get them again and call me and let me know. I thought that was very nice, a little above-and-beyond the call.
We ended up buying some foldy, maybe vintage or just pretend vintage cake stands. They are so cute, can't wait to use mine.
Really nice things to buy here, lots of gift ideas.
They even had a small selection of British food products (HP Sauce, Yorkshire Tea, and a few other items)

Wow, talk about mark up for atmosphere.

This place is cute. Reminds me of my mom's house, which says something about my mom.

Very cute, but tiny, shop selling all things tea related.  I bought a pair of porcelain tea bag strainers, decorated with red and pink flowers, and a pair of vintage, white leather gloves with flowered embroidery on the cuffs.  But as I walked through the store, I had that bull in a china shop fear gripping me.  Everything is delicate and stacked precariously in domino-like formation.  I was admiring the china cups while simultaneously planning my escape route and who I could easily knock down fleeing for the front door should a china-syndrome occur.  Alas, all was well, and I made my way across the street to Mabel Chong's, where I picked up some gorgeous jewelry.

I don't like walking in here because I feel like I'm an amazon woman and I'm going to break something.  They sell cute tea themed tees though.

The look and feel of the place is extremely cozy and warm.  There are tons of antique tea cups and saucers that will give your tea ware collection a bit of nostalgia.  You can also roam to the back of the shop for a wide array of teas and hard to find tea timers.  Great place to purchase gifts for the tea lovers in your life.

Wow,. so many reviews of Lovejoy's and only 3 for this place, right across the street?  I say.  The tea sets are great and all, if you have money to burn.  My favorite part is the room in the back with the actual tea.  The most adorable little teabags...gah it's hard to resist them.

A retail store located across the street from Lovejoy's Tea Room (http://www.yelp.com/bi...).  A really neat tea closet.  A nice place to visit after a lunch at their restaurant.  Lots of British stuff.

Lovejoy's Attic is perfect, after tea and brunch at the tea room, across the street. They've got a fantastic selection of tea, teawares, and little kitschy items (aprons, stickers, etc.). The tea isn't cheap, but it's worth it for someone who really enjoys tea. The English Breakfast is delicious! I'm dreading the day that I run out of it, because I don't live close by. :(
