2AM, my birthday night, I'm with a big crew of peeps, and we made plans to head over to Jerry's Deli.......on the way, one friend decides (drunkenly) to stop at Los Tacos. I park 2 blocks away on a side street, walk up...enter the madness called Los Tacos.

Cash only, with the hoodrich of Hollywood swarming the place, bums outside hollering at the ladies, and the line is 15 people deep...really?

There's no way one would want to sit inside this nasty joint that looks like it's straight outta TJ.

Hungry, I wait in line.

10 minutes later: I order a carne asada buritto

10 minutes later: it's ready

10 minutes later: we are all outside, debating on what the hell to do. Annoyed, and hungry, I walk to my car, and state that I'm over this.

I take a bite.

Holy crap! This burrito is AMAZING!

So it was 2:30AM, and my taste buds were probably drowned by my Maker's Mark all night - I'd go back after a night of drinking. But DEFINITELY not with a crew of people.

Price point: $9 burrito?

Should be no more then $6

This gets five-stars as the best drunk food in West Hollywood.  They are open laaaaate.  Anything you don't like about this food during waking hours is exactly what you will love it for at 3am.

Do not eat here sober.
Do not attempt to sit down and eat here ever, homeless or street freaks will harrass you, it is "To Go"
Do not save the leftovers

K.I.S.S. - get a taco combo and be on your way.

If you enjoy deep fried vomit on a plate and bums wandering in and joining your table ... then this place is for you!!!

Living in the neighborhood, I have given this place multiple chances. The only time I had something that slightly resembled edible food was after a LONG night of drinking straight whiskey, my taste buds were burnt off and this place was on my way home, so I drunkenly thought to myself "mmm burrito" After getting my giant turd burrito, I sat down and minutes later found myself offering bites of it up to people waiting in line to order.

I made a few new friends that night, but take note that when I left that place.... not even the bums that congregate outside the neighboring 7 Eleven would take my left overs....

I would marry this chicken taco if I had the chance. I would marry it in an over-the-top fancy, expensive wedding. I would marry it in a casual beach ceremony surrounded by close friends. I would especially marry it at a drive-thru chapel in Vegas (I would be driving of course, since chicken tacos can't drive).
I do chicken taco. I do.

Pretty good food, especially when you're drunk. Open late too. A tad bit pricey for fast food mexican, but worth a try. We used to always go here after a night at the clubs in West Hollywood. We tend to point people that way when they ask where good mexican food is in the area.

I am glad for Los Tacos because there is a dearth of cheap eats on this entire stretch of West Hollywood. Everything around is basically a chain, a tourist trap, or overpriced. That said, I can't say I've EVER eaten anything memorable here, even though I've always come while drunk and that's when food is supposed to taste extra good! The food here is of the cheese-covered, bean soaked variety. I'd prefer a good taco truck any day, if there were any around. Or just Astroburger.

I've always liked this spot. I don't remember how I came to try it. What I like about it is the amount of food you get for your dollar. It used to be just under $5.00 for combinations when I first started going there. Things are a little more higher now but its still a good spot for getting your money's worth. My fav is the Chili Rellenos.

This place has seriously amazing Mexican food, and it's open 24hours.  You really can't ask for more when you're about to go home at 3 in the morning and realize you're starving.  When I was living in WeHo, I spent so many late nights (early mornings) hiking down to this place I can't even count them.

Some of my favorite things:  the chicken burrito, with rice and beans inside.  It's so melty and tasty and yummy.  Mmmmmm.   I also love their cheese enchiladas and the chile relleno.  I prefer to eat in, because they cover the food with sauce and melted cheese, as opposed to when you take it to go, they just wrap it in foil.  I'll take more cheese, please!
They have a number of different salsas to choose from, as well as sour cream and jalapenos, etc.  I really like their green salsa.  You have to try it.

The location's not terrific, between the 7-11 and a laundromat in a little shopping area (I call it the taco shack), but it's worth it to try out this hidden little gem.  Another thing to keep in mind though, is that they're cash only.  However, everything is really reasonably priced, and the servings are really large.

I though this place was decent and would probably have given it 3 stars except for the fact that me and a bud were out past midnight and this place was open.  It TOTALLY hit the spot.  You guys deserve an extra star just for being open 24 hours.

I got a chili relleno and taco plate.  The chili relleno was good, as was the taco (beef w/ homemade hard shell - nice).  They came with rice and beans and the whole deal was $8.95.  Definitely satisfied me.  One thing is for sure is that they don't skimp on the cheese.  Yum.

They have a selection of sauces and the hot is nice and hot.  They also have an onion/jalapeno/carrot relish stuff that I rarely see any more at Mexican joints and a help yourself sour cream bin!  That could be dangerous.

I was happy with what I got and my pal got huevos rancheros which he seemed happy with.

I totally could have used a burrito but like my friend said after watching the Battle Star finale, "I don't know if I can watch TV or movies any more, it was THAT good".  That's how I feel about burritos after living in San Francisco for 10 years.  I am so afraid to have a burrito outside of SF because no one can make them like they do up there.

I'd actually like to find someone who can recommend a good burrito in LA.  If you even suggest Chipotle, you will get your ass kicked for sheer ignorance.

If you are in West Hollywood, late, and need food, Los Taco will satisfy you.  If they don't, you can suck it.

This place is saved by the fact that it is open 24 hours, otherwise I'd give it one star.

Frankly, it's overpriced for food that is rather gross.  They bring it to you fresh off the grill and they give you a lot, but it's slathered in sauce and grease, which makes it an inedible mixture for me (and quite messy).  Maybe it's just because I don't like my tacos 'wet', or I guess I just prefer going to taco trucks, but I avoid this place like the plague.

Been eating there forever, first the good stuff, the food is surprisingly good, little over $9.00, cash only, and open 24 hrs, next to a Laundromat and 711 so you can do other things there. NO CUSTOMER RESTROOM REALLY SUCKS! A pain in the ass (literally and figuratively) a very customer unfriendly policy that should be illegal! The tiny parking lot is always crowded with stupid drivers on the phone and paying no attention to what they are doing. The policy of no bathroom for the customer, what happens to a lot of us when we eat a huge plate of greasy Mexican food and no freeways around for miles, West Hollywood's SLOW traffic, red light cameras mounted every three feet or so, plus West Hollywood unforgiving traffic cops makes for a very bad (potentially explosive)situation!

When I was living in weho, this place was my best friend.  Open 24 hours, with seriously the most amazing flour tortillas hugging the most divine burritos.  And every time i go back to LA, I have to stop by.  Their salsas are also divine.

Another plus - their prices have mysteriously not gone up as much as the other restaurants in the area.  A great thing!

Arrived in Los Angeles with a serious appetite.  My sister, a local, mentioned this place was both cheap and good.  She was right.  We all had the beans and cheese burrito with a watermelon drink.  Good food from a friendly staff.  Be warned:  come with an appetite and you will leave full.  It's been five hours and I still feel my stomach expanding. Cash only.

Here is a place I will leave my West-side bubble for. Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican food for those low on dough. I first discovered this amazing taco-filled joint while visiting my former colleague at her apartment in the always colorful Weho neighborhood. I was starving, not expecting much, but boy was was I proven wrong. My bean and cheese wet burrito and orchata satiated me beyond my wildest dreams and I have been a loyal customer ever since. The best part? You are always welcomed by the plethora of your local friendly homeless vagrants, so always remember to carry a spare quarter in your pocket.

So I was in the area, and wanted to satisfy my taco craving. The night before, I was at the Santogold concert and ended the evening with a California Buritto at Alejandros, Costa Mesa. I woke up in the morning, craving street tacos, burritos, horchata, salsa, onions, cilantro Sometimes, I wish my pillow would be made out of fresh hot tortillas. The day went on.....

ALLLLLL day, I was thinking about tacos. Taco Tuesday, tacos on a stick, tacos on the street, mctacos, innoutacos, burger king tacos, jack-o-tacos.

I had to be up in LA, and was going to drop by El Chata Taco truck and order me some al pastor tacos and some lengua tacos. However, I decided to give some other taco shops a shot. I had to go to a show at west hollywood, and I popped on to yelp on my iphone and found LOS TACOS. It's definitely a HOLE-IN-THE wall. There's  7-11 next to it and a huge laundry mat. Parking kinda sucks.

I went in super excited. At first, I was bit shocked. I loved the large yellow menu, with red stickered prices. It wasn't super expensive, but I thought the burritos would be under 5 or around 5 bucks. They were roughly 6-7. Not a whole lot, considering the economy and all, but definitely not taco truck style prices.

My friend and I ordered the chicken burrito and the carne asada burrito. The chicken is shredded, served with cilantro, onions, beans, on a plate, and served wet. It also has melted cheese on it. My carne asada burrito was more like shredded beef, not the "steaky" style. It came wet and with same ingredients. Surprisingly, they tasted phenomenal, but wasn't completely satisfying, which is why I gave it a 4. In addition, the horchata comes from a machine and not homemade. Don't get me wrong. horchata from the machine is awesome, but homemade horchata is something to die for.

$1 for chips and $1.75 for refills (WTF?) I paid it anyways.

The salsa bar was decent, nothing spectacular or special.

It's official. I officially love taco trucks more than taco shops. If I ever get married, I'm going to have taco trucks cater, make us tacos, pop our beers, and make the best tacos on the planet.

For starters let's hit up the basics of Los Tacos. It's 24 hours and has amazing large portions. It is also wedged between a 711 and a laundromat. You can get quite a bit of exciting action going in this shopping center between the three locations.

The wait staffed seemed very friendly but could not understand English very well. Not a problem but be forewarned, be prepared to eat something on this menu as is, asking for special things like no onions, etc.... are going to be out of the question. You'll realize this once you repeat your order three times for them to get it.

The burrito I had was amazing and is one of the cheaper Mexican places in West Hollywood I have found that I can tolerate. The food is fresh off the grill and they have a pretty good drink selection (sadly Pepsi products for soda machine). You should have no problem parking in the shopping center lot where the place is located which is always nice. Bring some money because this place is cash only as well!

Consistently delicious, freshly wrapped in a paper towel, never more than $10 for my dinner...Open 24 hours next to 7-11 so i'm in and out in less than 10 minutes.  Man, I dream about these crunchy chicken tacos.  Throw in a carne asada taco that has enough steak in there for at least two tacos.  I will warn you now--cash only, chips are extra, and the guac leaves much to be desired, but for the price, I won't complain.  You will never go hungry eating at Los Tacos.

I have to say I was happily surprised by this place. I'm really pretty much NEVER in this area but one night I happened to pass by Los Tacos on my way back to the westside with some friends after a taping of that Lewis Black show "Root of All Evil". After sitting there enduring one non-funny joke after the other for hours on end all 4 of us were famished. Mike suggested Koo Koo Roo since we had seen it on the drive over but as soon as we saw Los Tacos we all changed our minds.

We park, we walk in, I see the dismal surroundings and expect to be greatly underwhelmed. Marcos swore up and down about how amaaaazing the chile rellenos are here so both Mike and I figured it was worth a shot to try it. The 2 of us both ordered Combination #8: Chile relleno & cheese enchilada (I can never have enough cheese) and it came with your standard rice and beans. As we waited for our order my eyes lit up at the sight of the salsa/condiments bar. Wooooow!!! Sour cream? For free?? Say what? This is unheard of! I scooped up a huge helping some little cups and got some salsa too. Our orders came out and the plate was loaded down, it was seriously HEAVY with food. The chile relleno was indeed probably the best chile relleno I've ever had, ESPECIALLY from a hole in the wall little establishment like Los Tacos. The enchilada was good too but forgettable in comparison to the chile relleno. I love me some beans and these did not disappoint either. There was so much dang food I could barely breathe once I had cleared my plate (yes, I might have been guilty of licking it clean).

I found a link to the menu here: http://www.menupix.com...

Would I go back to Los Tacos? YES for sure, especially since it's open 24 hours, but I wouldn't make a special journey all the way out from Santa Monica for it.  If you find yourself here, do yourself a favor and at least try the chile relleno!

i know other people have said that considering the availability of cheap mexican food nearby, los tacos isn't all that great. and they are right, it isn't all that great compared to a taco truck or a place on the eastern side of LA but for west hollywood, this place is it. unless someone would like to enlighten me, i don't think there is another mexican place (that's not like, baja fresh or something) that's around within walking distance or a short 5 minute drive. much less one that's open 24 hours. i mean with parking and traffic being a bitch in that area los tacos' proximity to my friends house definitely adds stars.

another good thing: extensive salsa bar WITH the all important zanahorias.

i've never stayed to eat but there isn't much in terms of ambience and the lady seemed a bit impatient with me. the food was pretty good and cheap. I had a carnitas burrito (about $5); the meat was on the dry side but the delicious beans made up for that.

So I guess I'm going to go ahead and have to disagree with the majority of reviews for this place.  I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about.  I've driven by Los Tacos on many an occasion going to or from Hollywood to the westside, and have always been curious.

The place seems authentic enough when you walk in, but I proceeded to wait forever to even place an order while the guy behind the counter was doing god knows what.  Both the guy to my right and the guy to my left appeared to be homeless, or at least they smelled that way.

My first shock was the price - combos here start at $9!  Insane.  And that $9 combo doesn't even come with tortilla chips.  But I had already come all this way to try Los Tacos, so I wasn't going to back out now.  The chile relleno / beef enchilada combo sounded like it might have potential, so I decided to give that one a try.

What a disappointment.

Now some might call me crazy for ordering 2 items that LA is known for not making well (chile rellenos and enchiladas are San Diego's domain), but that's the stuff I like and I think part of me is still secretly hoping to find someplace in this godforsaken city that can make them properly.  Unfortunately, that place is not Los Tacos.  Skimpy on the sauce, light on the meat, and the chile relleno batter was just not good at all.  Not awful - I mean common it's Mexican food, but for $9 I was expecting something much better.

Needless to say, I don't really see any reason for me to be returning to Los Tacos anytime soon.

I had the bean burrito. It was delicious tho I think they use lard in the beans.
I like the fact that the condiments are up front on the counter. I like spicy and I don't like asking for more and more jalapenos or sauces so having it on the counter is extremely convenient. Everything needed to be prepped.
The restroom is ugly. Actually the entire restaurant is ugly. I went at 3am and the cashier seemed as if she hated her job so I experienced some attitude.
My friends said the place was expensive. I wouldn't know because I only had a burrito and water. My total was about $5 and I couldn't even finish my food. They didn't take credit cards so you have to go to 711 which had a broken ATM machine. I ended up purchasing something to get cash back - their limit is only $10......bullship.
Back to Los Tacos... If I am ever on the westside I will come back here for more bean burritos. 24hr restaurants is the business when beans are in the kitchen.

I'm definitely docking a star cuz  the man behind the counter doesn't know how to count in his mother tongue! Our number was 16 and he kept shouting Ventiseis and staring at us like we're dumb since we weren't responding. Finally, after hollering "ventiseis" in our direction a few times homeboy takes on the most condescending tone, points at us and says.... "Number 16, that's you!" WTF??? I may not be fluent in Spanish but I know 16 is Dieciseis DUMBASS!

Parking was easy, the bathroom at the gas station next door is rumored to be "the cleanest bathroom in West LA", there was no line, we ordered and sat right down. Our food items were $2-4 a piece ordered a la carte, the portion sizes were just right and although it's not the greatest Mexican food it's perfect for a 2am snack. I had the cheese enchilada and a tamale. I finished both and loved that they were drenched in sauce and cheese.

If you find yourself at Los Tacos please take the time to enjoy the painting of the last supper which features a luchadore as one of the attendees present during the historic event! It's EXCELLENT!

As a restaurant overall, Los Tacos gets, like 2 stars.
As an LA place that's open 24 hours, LT gets 3.
As a place to fraternize with the hookers, pimps, homeless, drag queens, on-the-DL ga(y)ngsta's, twinks, frat boys and junior agents who stumble in for cheap eats when LA's bars close down, it gets 4.
The carnitas tacos get 5 stars all for themselves. Slow cooked, shredded pork, crisped under a broiler and put onto lardy corn tortillas.
Los Tacos provides some sour cream to spoon on. Why not? You've blown your deal-a-meal points anyway, piggy. Now some homemade salsa to cut the grease a bit.  Heaven.
Here's a trick for you.
You've got a big pile of pork on top of two oily tortillas that are not big enough to fold and hold that meat. Split that meat into two piles, one for each tortilla. You turned one taco into two. Kind of like Jesus.

Russel G. drove me here once when I was drunk.  The reason he only gives four stars is because I ate one of his tacos, or so he claims.

Anyhow, I was smart enough to leave myself a note in my drunken state.... "try Los Tacos sober, it will probably still be good."

Drunk me, for all of the trouble he gets me into, occasionally comes through.  I ended up going back the following week, sober as a Mormon baby, and as it turns out I was right.

Especially good were the tacos (as the name would imply) but the burrito I had a bite of was also good.

Came here on a spur of the moment lunch, while we waited for some dry cleaning down the road. They come correct with their enchiladas and pork dishes. Well cooked fast food more satisfying than many high end nouvelle cuisine that I've suffered through. The beef taquitos with green salsa were great.

There are a few tables for dining in, but most of the clientele take it to go.

Gotta say I'm not to fond of this place. I wish i was as its so close to my house and open 24/7. If I have a choice I will go some where else.

Meat-always bland, very chewy
Beans-something going on there that I'm not too sure of but I do know there always too salty
Not the freshest overall ingredients

The help your self salsa and pickled vegetables is nice, I do like their pickled veg.

If this place was say in Philly it would be decent, but its in LA and for that its sub par.

They're selling burritos not $14 Martinis, lets not forget. If you like there food, as much as I do, I'd pay up to $20 a burrito. It's open 24 hours, the staff is not stuck up, they give free sour cream and althogh the place is not the Chateau Marmont it's clean everytime I walk in, and go to town with there food, forget what designer I'm wearing or how cute I was supposed to be. Go there with an open mind, cash and a hungry stomach!!!!

Baja cuisine is for wussies.  Come to where the lard is.

Thread your way through the bum gauntlet at this semi-shady strip mall, and duck into this muy authentico old standby.

Reasonable prices, jamaica, horchata, static-y Mexican music pouring from the speakers, poncho tablecloths and YES, serve yourself sour cream!  (Evidently worth its weight in gold in this town.)

One of the few Mexican joints where I actually eat ALL the rice and beans.  The food doesn't taste like it's necessarily all that good for you, but you want to keep eating it anyway.  Remember that feeling?  You're unlikely to experience that at a Baja Fresh or a Rubios.

If not for the price, this place would be a 5 star no questions asked... it still takes the 5 in my opinion.  You have to consider, the food tastes fresher than most of the other places, the portions are huge, and they offer FREE sour cream so you have to factor price in there somewhere.

I used to live in San Diego where you can trip over a carne asada walking down the street so I have high expectations for Mexican Food and this place delivers.

Marisa I. is my roommate and she does not lie when she speaks of the amazingness of Los Tacos.  Seriously, the bean and cheese burrito is so good that it must contain some form of crack. (I think there was a time when we ate there like 3 times a week.)  Combine that with the fact that the sour cream is free for the taking and their hot red sauce is so delicious and spicy.

Additionally, the denizens of the Los Tacos strip mall, aka hobos, are generally amazing.  Marisa and I once got offered a used bra, size DD for sure, by our favorite crack-a-lacka.  We did not accept the offer as neither of us are that well endowed and neither was she, but I think she needed it more than us anyway.  Only a few times have I feared for my life, so that is good.

Seriously, try the bean and cheese burrito at least once.

HOORAY for machaca tacos!

I love the shredded beef in the hard crunchy shells.  When i first started coming here the Machaca beef had nice texture and was really nicely pulled apart.  I've gone recently and the beef seems to be a bit mushier.  Not as good as it was before but still delicious.

Prices are cheap.  Food is good.  Celebrity sitings in the wee hours of  the night.

This place makes me want to sing the "Los Tacos" jingle that I made up in my head!

Authentic Mexican food in WeHo until the wee hours of the morning.  This is a great joint for local yokels.  If I'm not mistaken this place is open 24/7.  It's a restaurant with a few tables and modest decor.  They have a rockin' salsa bar.  This is the place to hit up for a quick dinner or to absorb all of the alcohol in the middle of the night (walking, not driving of course!).

The nachos are weak -- I need more melted cheese and interesting stuff on my nachos.  My husband loves the carne asada burrito b/c it comes packed with meat.  I'm more of the chicken tamale lover.

I wouldn't drive across L.A. for Los Tacos but if you live in the WeHo or Hollywood area definitely give it a try.

P.S. Pickeled veggies are worth stopping by for.  I could eat them by the bagful.
