BASTARDS!!!

-2!
I hate when management allows over booking.
That totally fricken' SUX-ASS.
ESPECIALLY when we have a reserved tee-time and we don't get to start on time...15-20 minutes, is still cool with me, maybe even 30 minutes. But a whole fricken' hour?!
C'mon!!
And, you know you can't cancel your reservation if you wanted to, because they'll charge you for canceling less than 24 hrs, prior.
I don't care if it was an holiday and everyone and their dead grandma was out playing golf.
Can't these bastards count?
Oh, and, see if anything gets done if you bitch about.

-1!
And seriously people, should a hot dog really take 25 minutes to put together?
F**kin' A!

Thank God the girl (Julia?) at the snack shop between the 6th and 7th hole, got her shizzle going on.

No matter how crappy the service and organization of this course is...it's still a great course to play.

Sigh...
Other than that, I kicked ass out there today!!!
Oh yeah, baby!

Nice course,

Played the south course with some friends. Had a very good time! Some of the tee boxes and greens needed some work but overall it was fun.

Me and a buddy had a chance to play the North course at Los Serranos Country Club and I must say, it was definitely fun.  Here are some of the reasons why:

1.) I received a special coupon via email for a round of golf including cart for only $40.00.  And, this was for a tee time at 10:30 AM on Saturday.

2.) The staff there was really friendly.

3.) Luckily, it was not even crowded.  We finished the complete round in under 4-hours.

I heard the South course is a little longer (250+ yards) but the North course will still pose a challenge for the "average" golfer.  I will keep playing at Los Serranos as long as I keep receiving the coupons via email.  I recommend you sign up from their website.

South Course
Nice course, very long. Especially last hole which plays 677 from the blacks. Played the whites except that last hole, had to try it. Course is in decent shape. Not amazing, but better then typical muni quality. Some bunkers are great, some are hard. Lots of parallel fairways and you will have people hitting through yours here and there. Nice layout and a very hot customer service chick!

Good course, well kept and the driving range is long enough to judge distances for a good practice.  I know a good driving range doesn't have to be long to be good but I like whacking balls and seeing them sail far and straight.  And taking the time in my follow through to see it land just right.

Course is good size and has a difficulty level to challenge most.

Went to the range at Ayala Park when a groundskeeper informed us that the place has been closed since May.  Was referred here, and was pleasantly surprised.

Haven't played the course, but the all-grass driving range is just fine.  It's a good change of pace getting off of plastic and concrete and onto dirt and grass (without paying extra).

I only get to play golf every now and then because of my other extra-curricular activities and work.  When I do get a chance though, this place is at the top of my list.  Most of the time, the only thing stopping me is either the $$ or that I played this course the last time I played.  Even though this is my favorite, I like variety.

The green fees can get pretty pricey on weekends and holidays, but when you compare them to some, this place is a bargain.  The course is well kept and depending on which side you choose to play on, you get your money's worth since the course plays very long.  I've never had to wait too long, even on a crowded day.  The pro shop seems pretty stacked.

My one and only complaint about this place:  you can't drive the cart into the parking lot.  It's always nice to be able drop your bag off at your car before returning the cart.

This is a well maintained municipal facility.  36 holes.  South is longer but easier to play.  North is shorter and more challenging.

This is always a fun course to play.  One of my favorite city courses.

Fees are pretty reasonable.

So I decided to take an eight month hiatus from playing golf.  Since it was my dad's birthday last week, I decided to play golf with the old man at Los Serranos.  Albert E. was kind enough to book us a perfect tee time @ 8:30 AM Saturday.

We played the North course, around 400 yards shorter than the infamous South course.  The greens were fast and in great condition.  Fairways were cut close and tight and the rough was very manageable.  I wouldnt say the course was pristine but it was very well kept.

Great part was the groups in front of us were fast and not much waiting around.  It took us around 4 1/2 hours which is great considering we played a public course on a busy Saturday morning.

Unfortunately the only thing I forgot to bring was ..... MY GAME!!!  After a long layoff, I pretty much sucked ass around the course.  I was embarrassed after our round.  I didn't expect much having not played in awhile but I didn't expect shooting well over the 100's.  Ouch!!!!

I've played both North (shorter) and South (longer) courses and these are both pretty nice courses. My main objection is that playing conditions vary greatly - sometimes they are pretty poor (bad greens and beat-up tee boxes) and sometimes they are fairly decent. A mixed bag here, for sure. The starters and staff are great !

This place is literally in the backyard from my girlfriend's house. So I got to visit the club and hit a few balls off the driving range. Not so bad! But I need to pick up my swing... gotta go practice!
