Thousand Oaks isn't my first choice for golfing (given that I live near Pasadena), but I gotta say that this place was definitely worth the drive.  According to my golf buddy, this was formerly a private golf course that became public, and given the scenery, beautiful tree lines and amenities, I totally believe it.  A weekend round with cart was a reasonable $60 per head, and this was my first time taking a golf cart that had GPS.  WOW!!  It's like getting a tivo or watching HDTV for the first time.  Do it, and you'll swear that you will never go back.  The rangefinder automatically displays your distance to the hole from any point on the golf course, and also doubles as a user-friendly scorecard.

This course has a little bit of everything - wide and narrow fairways, water hazards, a little bit of terrain, and fast greens.  I was very unprepared for how fast the greens were.  If you're looking at a downhill putt,  I swear the most you have to do is breathe on your ball.  That's about it.

I have no idea how hot this place gets in the summer time, but I'll take wild stab in the dark and guess HOTTTTTTTTTTTTT.   However, it was very pleasant in the autumn and hope to bring friends and come back.

One of the best-maintained municipal golf courses I've ever seen. Green fees reasonable, course always in really good shape. Staff is great and the grill is pretty damn decent. And that slow foursome ahead of you? Try no to hit into them... could be Sparky Anderson!

Greens ran at about 9. Fairways were well maintained; the rough is challenging and evenly cut - all major +'s  considering it was only $50 w/ cart. It's a shorter course, 6300+ from the BLACK, a few fun doglegs, and tiered par 3's. The short par 5's make eagle/birdie op's pleantiful.

This golf course is the best value for the money in Ventura County. Due to vast improvements in course conditioning over the past two years, the place has a country club feel. There are a few throw-away holes on the front like 2 and 9, but the back nine is a solid test of golf with some really inspiring holes. In fact, the back nine is as good as any muni you will play in the LA area. The course has some hills that will test your conditioning, but I highly recommend walking it. I also recommend playing early if you are a decent player and like a fast pace of play. The yahoos (those whose talents would be better suited to a pitch and putt course) start showing up around 9 a.m., and you're looking at a 5-hour plus round after that. Great clubhouse and friendly staff to boot.

I played here on 4-27 (10AM tee off).

This is a good course for the price if you live around here, but the drive here kills it if you're from LA. The holes are all short (sub-400 yard par 4s?) and the fairways are wide, but that just means an easier game for all. This can be a good thing as your score will be lower than at other more difficult courses. It's just something to keep in mind.

The staff is decent, I had no problem with them. The fairways were in good condition. The greens were ok, they were by far the most difficult part of the course.

I probably won't be back because it's a 45 minute drive for me, and I'd rather play somewhere like Azusa Greens.

Again, and I have said this often, I'm from the Bay Area. Compared to Nor Cal, golfing at a course like this, and so cheaply, is refreshing. Nice greens and the fairways were all kept up. Lots of elevation changes, but not to make it difficult, just interesting. I will go back.

This is not rating the golf course.  This is for their restuarant and grill.

I had a very nice lunch here overlooking the greens.  The food was much better than I expected.  It was a very relaxing moment in my life.

los robles is a decent golf course that isn't too pricey.  the fairways are wide and usually you're still ok after a nasty slice, since you'll wind up on another fairway, but it's a good place to practice trying to get your ball to go far and straight.  the greens could get some work as last time i was there they were really bumpy.  the driving range is pretty nice and on certain days you can hit off grass.  tends to get crowded though and you may have to wait since many people are part of the eagle club which allows for unlimited range balls for $29 a month.  the eagle club also provides $15 twilight rates with cart and special group instruction saturday mornings.  they also have a large chipping practice area, sand practice area and a large putting green.  overall los robles greens  provides a good place to play in thousand oaks.
