Excellent for being right down the street from the ol cabin in Bodfish. It does in a pinch but the Super Burrito has what it takes for me when I am starving. Service is what I expected- Average. You learn not to expect to much around these parts so overall I say the food and service is A-OK!

My family and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and were the only people in the entire restaurant when we walked in. The place looked okay, like any other little family run Mexican place. The prices were a little more than I expected them to be, but not bad. They're higher than listed at the website.
When we ordered our drinks, they brought out canned sodas with glasses of ice. That always irritates me. Why spend more than a dollar for a canned soda? Maybe they can't afford a soda fountain. Time are tough. I get it. Whatever. On top of that they never refilled my dad's glass of water, even though he asked.
We had a tough time ordering because the waitress was getting visibly irritated with my grandpa's wife, who didn't understand one of the menu items. It was shocking to see someone get so frustrated just because a little old lady wants to know what's in the tostada.
We all got our orders in before a group of about 25 firefighters came in, but they screwed it up anyway. My husband and I wanted to split the chicken enchilada plate, but they brought us tacos instead. When we said that it wasn't what we ordered, the waitress asked me if i was sure. Yes, lady, I'm sure. But I told her I'd take them anyway. And instead of apologizing and offering to make what I did order, she looked relieved and said "Okay, here."
The tacos were greasy and unappetizing. We didn't finish them. The beans and rice were good, though. Like my mother in law makes, really authentic. The salsa was cilantro-y and hot, in a good way. My aunt ordered nachos and they looked great.
I would come here again, because they probably have the best Mexican food in Lake Isabella, but that's really not saying much. I understand that they got slammed by the big group of firefighters, but come on. Be professionals and don't let that trip up your accuracy and customer service.
