Nothing fancy... foam containers and plastic utensils. No table service. Fill your own drinks, and I saw people getting free refills (except for the horchata, piña and tamarindo).

Here's how the food rated:

Chiles rellenos: Fresh oil, light egg batter, good cheese and a tasty sauce. Perfectly cooked. 5 STARS

Lengua taco: Small, very overstuffed street tacos with plenty of tender lengua and lots of diced onions and cilantro. Served with two tortillas, so you get the usual two small tacos because of all the stuff that falls out of the first one. Served with a lime wedge. 4 STARS

Refritos: Meh. Bland, almost like they were out of a can. 2 STARS

Rice: Different, to say the least. At first, I didn't think I would like it, but the stuff grew on me. 3 STARS

Horchata: Horrrible. I took two sips then gave it back to them and went for the Dr. Pepper. NO STARS

The salsas: Pico de gallo and the red chunky were what I had. Both were excellent. 5 STARS

JB liked her rolled tacos, guac and quesadilla, but I didn't have any so I can't rate them.

The sprinkling of grated cotija on the main course was a nice and appreciated touch.

I'll definitely be back for more.

Another excellent taco shop in Riverside county.  The staff is usually friendly, the service is quick, and the food is great.  The owner and his wife work there every day to ensure the quality of the food, and you can usually see them freshly preparing something in the back.

Prices are just ok, but I guess you pay for quality.

The beans and rice both taste great, especially with some lime on top; and they sprinkle cotija/queso blanco on top for a more authentic taste.  As far as I know, the beans are lard-free and the food always comes to you hot and fresh (gotta let that stuff cool down a few minutes before eating).

The salsa bar is not my favorite.  The red salsa has a lot of heat going on without a lot of flavor.  The salsa verde is better and what most of my friends get.
