Review from Matthew D.

I hadn't lived in Utah for about three years and my wife and I just moved back last weekend. I had some good memories of Los Hermanos so I decided to go back and eat there last night for dinner. Disappointing.
First thing, I swear the prices increased a ton. Also, the burrito I got was TINY compared to what I used to get. I paid $11 for a burrito and it was tiny and had almost no ingredients. To think I could have gotten two Chipotle burritos for the same price (and delicious) made me GREATLY regret coming. My wife and I got a burrito each, a pina colada and fried ice cream. The total bill came out to $40 (tip included). That will be the last time I spend that much money for the food.
The food was very bland. The guacamole looked like they shot it out of a tube from a bag like at Taco Bell. The salsa was very good as were the chips. There wasn't much flavor at all though.
I won't go there again. There are better uses of my money and it was far too expensive.
The service and location were great though. However, it seems like I got a smaller portion for a higher price. -

The only reason it even gets 2 stars is because the service is generally polite and the joint seems clean. However, it's over-crowded, over-priced, and over-bland.
If you're into fake mexican food with no risk and no flavor this is a safe place for you. I'm pretty sure all the plates consist of the same ingredients because I've never had anything here that doesn't taste the same.
Man up and go eat at a real mexican restaurant and find something you really like with actual flavor. Yeah, you might get something you don't like, but at least it doesn't taste like you opened a can of rosarita refried beans and slapped it on a plate with cheese. -

The food tasted okay, but I felt the portions were really small for the price we paid. We can usually take home at least one doggy-bag box for lunch the next day, and here we finished all of our food.
The restaurant is located in a unique historic home, which I felt added to its charm. We went with two small children, who enjoyed the kitschy decor. But our server failed to provide crayons and coloring pages for the kids until we specifically asked for them. -

The perfect place if you are looking for Ameri-Mexican fare... and if you are boring. No authentic to be found here (except a lil in their insert menu) but cheesy, tasty 3-times removed mexican food. Lotsa families, lotsa kids... great service, cute decor.
My dad eats only meat and potatoes, and he loves this place.
La brisa de la mora negra (shake-like drink) is good. -

I've been to Los Hermanos many times over the years and it never fails to underwhelm. The location is unique and some of the rooms are appealing but some of the smaller rooms (especially upstairs) can get difficult to maneuver in and out of, especially when they're full.
The service is always nice but the food is just plain mediocre. I got the smothered burrito the other day and it was as bland as could be. And the meat was dry and overcooked. I've occasionally gotten a meal here that was better than average, but most are not, and none are worth the price. -

I like restaurant style mexican food.
Los Hermanos has good restaurant style chips, salsa, and tacos. The beans and rice were of good quality but they lack flavor.
If someone were paying for me I would be fine with eating here again. I would not pay to eat here again.
The service was not good. Service is so hard to get these days.
When we go out to eat we are hungry and thirsty. Keep our cups full, replace the limes, keep the chips full, keep the salsa full. And don't ask us, just fill them. When we don't want anymore we won't eat any more. -

For me the mark of a good restaurant is consistency. When you go to a consistent restaurant you can expect good service and quality, well-prepared and tasty food every time. Unfortunately Los Hermanos fails to pass this test. Sometimes my meal has been excellent but then other times its been lousy. My lunch there last Saturday was a good example of this. Service was slow and my food was mediocre. I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas and was served cheese enchiladas. When I told the server he took the cheese enchiladas back to the kitchen and I swear all they did was mix in some shredded beef and bring it back to me. My plate was nothing short of a mess of cheese and beef with little if any tortilla to be found. It was like my enchiladas were hit by a truck and then run over several times. It looked gross and didn't taste much better. Restaurant fail!

Two words describe this place perfectly: bland and expensive. This business is usually packed during with people celebrating family events like graduation, or high school prom. Every time I eat there it gets more expensive, and more American (i.e. bland and boring).

I love Mexican food and for lunch went here with co-workers. I tried to like the food by asking for jalapeño peppers, which gave it extra kick, however the food still tasted blend... I think I'll be going to other Mexican joints that I have found in Utah Valley.
I had the smothered burrito with Spanish rice... I had to add lot of salsa to give the rice some taste. Now I think about it, the last time I was there, which was like 4 years ago, I old myself I wouldn't come back... but now for sure I won't! -

This place is really, really horrible. I know, you know people who eat there all the time. But seriously, it's bad. No flavor, no imagination. And, on several occasions we've decided to just call it "Los Hairmanos" for the routine finding of something other than food in the food.
You some good mexican? Go to any of the little taco shops that proliferate. If you MUST eat at a faux mexican spot, try Mi Ranchito. It's edible. This place is not. -

Fast service, yes, but awful food. Not even Tex Mex. Not sure what it was...even chain restaurants do the American Mexican food better. Never ever going back.

I don't agree with Don L.
My husband and I just went to Los Hermanos and had noticed a lot of improvements. Small menu, more flavorful food, nice servers that knew how to leave us alone. Nice environment. It is locally owned... not Denny's or McAnything. The food is not great, it was better that it used to be. If you want good no GREAT Mexican food go to Maria Bonita in Orem! Mmm. -

I can't believe the reviews for this place. This is hands down the best mexican-ish place in Northern Utah. Very "Utah County" (you'll understand) but delicious. Service is usually great, every once in a while you'll get a bad server. Really try this, this location is better than the downtown Provo location. Very busy on weekend nights, and for good reason. Also prices are cheap. My girlfriend and I can eat for under $25 counting desert and tip.

the food in this place was quite good and the décor was attractive. however, all the good was undermined by Aarin, who's name badge indicated she was the "lead server." Aarin was bored with us and annoyed by our presence. When Aarin moves on, I'll add another star...
