I used to go to looks back in 2004-06. Had cuts, color, wax and nails done and I was happy every time. Every one is really nice and their prices are pretty reasonable. Amanda used to do my hair (I don't think she works there anymore!).
I really miss these guys, since I don't live in the area anymore.. -

A dude reviewing a hair salon...whaaaaaat? I am comfortable enough at the ripe age of 25 to now admit I have been getting my hair cut at a salon since high school. It all started when I hopped on the shaggy hair do wagon and tried to have it shaped up at a Hair Cuttery. That was a huge mistake that left me looking like Donald Trump's toupee on a bad day. That's a worse situation than Trump, because I do not have the bank statement to make members of the opposite gender overlook my shortcomings.
I had to get out of the system and I have been jumping around to various salon's since then. Looks hairstylist Irene is my current coiffure creator. I am a big fan because she talks me through each hair cut with me and we can end up making a compromise based on her knowledge of hair and my unrealistic depiction of my hair some day looking like Brad Pitt's. Basically, she makes me feel comfortable about how she is going to cut my hair, instead of saying "let me show you". That never ends well.
I have no clue how much the women's stuff is, but the guy's cut is 20-25$. The only downside is that the product they use there is pricey. -

I have been going to Looks for haircuts since I was 15 years old (I am now 23).
I have curly hair and had so many bad haircuts, at some point I probably would have ended up shaving my head if I hadn't found Alison all those years ago. She's the best!!! Definitely recommend for anybody, but particularly if you have curly hair and think there is no hope. -

LOVE CHRISTA! She does incredible color and cuts and has a beautiful calming energy. She communicates very clearly before your hair is even toughed to makes sure everyone is on the same page. She's the BOMB!

I am doing this for all my Columbia Brides! This review is for Ileana Vasquez. When planning my wedding in DC, while living in San Diego, I needed to book a stylist for my wedding 'do. I asked my good friend who worked at Looks who she recommended and she 100% recommended Ileana. Anyway she was so great to work with and I was so happy with my updo for the big day. I also loved all of the 'maids hair that she did. She also did highlights for my maid of honor that looked great.
C'mon Columbia, make me proud & jump on the yelp bandwagon.
