Best $35 I have ever spent was on a Plymouth Resident Long Beach Sticker. My wife and 2 young boys spend as much time as we can during the summer out on Long Beach. Pack up the truck and 20 minutes later (it takes a little bit to get out to the Crossover) and its like we are on vacation. This is what summer on the South Shore is all about.

Long Beach is a gorgeous strip of beach jutting off of Plymouth into the amazing Atlantic. Great place to go for walks-- you can walk for what seems like miles and see nothing but sand and dunes and waves, sea birds and shells. The water is positively freezing until late summer, when you can enjoy slightly warmer waters (but not much warmer, this is the cape area we're talking about).
You can't get too close to this beach if you're not a Plymouth resident, which keeps the crowds down because there are lots of beaches around to choose from...loses one star because it's not my faaaavorite beach, Duxbury Beach!
