We stayed here last September. We had a marvelous time. The accommodations were perfect! The owners, Eleanore and her husband live about 100 yards from the cottage. What a relaxing weekend! Large deck for sitting and dining. Large propane
BBQ on the deck. Dining/sitting area near the BBQ. I loved going out there in the early morning to have coffee. Can see a multitude of wildlife on the deck.
There is a nice kitchen inside. Most of the cooking implements are enclosed in a closet out of view. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking if one chooses so. The bed is elevated from the main sitting area. I love that you can coddle yourself to sleep in the comfy bed and have full view of the greenery outside. There are very large windows almost floor to ceiling. NO TV!!! Yeahhhh.. But there is a CD player and an assortment of CD's available. The bathroom has huge ceilings and heated slate floors. A very welcomed wood burning stove for the cool nights we were there.
Outside a few yards from the cottage is a secluded area with a large hot tub can probably accommodate 4 people. We spent alot of time there.
Eleanore invited us to go down to her garden to pick tomatoes for dinner, BBQ oysters! We got a couple of dozen from Hog Island.
Definitely a fantastic relaxing few days at Lone Fir Cottage!
