This is a favorite stop for our motorcycle rides on the weekends. The best day is the first Sunday of each month. The airport hangers open up and there are interesting aircraft and vehicles to watch.
This is a good time to eat outside and watch all of the air traffic. We have never been disappointed with the food or service at Logsdon's. The servers are always friendly and attentive.
The food is always good to excellent for this type of restaurant. I don't usually give 5 stars on Yelp but the total experience of the dinner and the airport always make this a happy place. -

We decided to give this a spin for Sunday breakfast. The novelty of this restaurant rests in being situated adjacent to the Santa Paula Airport runway providing the visual stimulation of watching small aircraft takeoffs and landings. This is a necessary distraction as the restuarant itself is in desperate need of a facelift.
The restaurant consists of coffee shop, dining room, bar and small patio area all of which serve breakfast. Opt for the dining room or patio (if sitting next to smokers doesn't bother you) for a view of the airstrip activity.
Part of the fun going here is that on the first Sunday of the month a number of the private hangers are open to the public. On display are a number of vintage and aerobatic aircraft with their proud owners more than willing to discuss all things aviation. A few of the hangers are "man caves" of the highest order.
Based on a sample of one experience, my rating is as follows:
Restaurant facilites - 1 star.
Service - 2 stars.
Food - 2 stars.
Novelty - 5 stars.
Blended - 12 (stars total) / 4 (factors) = 3 stars.
Best bet - skip breakfast and have a bloody mary or mimosa at the bar and then wander around the open hangers on the first Sunday of the month. -

I ate here a lot growing up.
The main appeal is the location.
The food is mediocre, but the bar has a lot of local "characters." -

A quaint looking restaurant right next to the small airport in Santa Paula. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's more than one section to the place. If you can, and you're interested, try to sit in the section where you can see the airplanes.
The food is decent, small town American diner staples. They were very accommodating for a party of eleven. They brought us our refills in the same glasses, which really seemed to bother my cousin... (Look, see? You can see the lip stick on the straw!)
Good for kids, airport enthusiasts, and right off the freeway. -

RAVIOLLI!! Love it!! It's been awhile since I ate here last, but I remember ordering their raviolli and thinking that if this was the only dish left on Earth I'd be super content. Now what was in the middle of this al dente cooked pasta, I have no recollection. Either some sort of seafood or maybe squash... Sorry I can't be more helpful on the specifics.
The last I ate here was with my mom. She ordered one of their fish dishes - again which dish sorry I couldn't tell you as I'm in no way a fish eater (aside form salmon and tuna). I must say though, that when offered a bit I politely turned it away only to be intrigued by her ooing and awwing over the dish (my mother never oohs and awwwws over food). OK OK OK let me try a piece. I LOVED the fact that I couldn't tell it was fish. The topping was amazing - I remember it being a chunky sort of sauce. And the asparagus - succulent!!
Here's to a great restaurant with a fantastic view of the airport - flying fascinates me!
Their bar is a great hang-out place. There are always locals there either catching a game on the TVs, reminiscing about their dare devil flying days, or solely there to catch up with friends.
The first Sunday of every month is a big fly-in day and the place can be somewhat crowded but a lot of fun!!
There outdoor seating consists of only a couple tables, but if you get there early enough on a nice day it is worth it. -

Santa Paula, CA
Fun place to go for breakfast because you get to over hear all the old pilots complain about fuel prices and new/inexperienced pilots. It is a hoot and the best place to ease drop in Santa Paula. The food leaves a lot to be desired but how badly can you mess up pancakes. Tried Lunch there once, won't return for anything but breakfast now. Get there before 9am and you get great entertainment with mediocre food.

Had a nice dinner while watching vintage planes takeoff and land. Sat down and was presented with homemade melba toast, nice. Many daily dinner specials and items on menu ranging from Italian, chicken, and meat entrees. Dinners are served with homemade soup or salad with homemade dressings and rice or potato. We ordered homemade beef ravioli with salad and tri-tip, Indian harvest rice, and soup (clam chowder). Salad and clam chowder came with just baked rolls. Salad dressing was yummy and clam chowder was doable. Entrees came, ravioli was homemade (real good), homemade sauce and pasta, smothered in cheese, just right, great eat. Trip tip was just a bit pink (nice) served in its juice, BBQ sauce on side, and omg what a good smoke flavor the meat has. Added BBQ sauce to meat and omg what a great zing & zang flavor the sauce has. BBQ sauce is a bit zippy with a great hickory flavor. The Indian harvest rice was, well, fantastic. Really liked the place, very much worth a try. Suggest trying lunch there as well.
