This is the place in Menomonie for UW-Stout college students to see and be seen. And since most of their clientele is under 23 they also card everyone who walks in the door. That was the highlight of my time at this bar because I've noticed a marked decrease in the number of times I'm asked to present my license when I order an adult beverage. Do you feel sorry for me? I feel sorry for myself. How sad.
Aside from being the place where everybody goes, it was nothing special. They had a pool table, dart machines, Big Buck Hunter and large booths that comfortably seated 6-8 people. No waitress service that I saw and inconsistent pours. My first drink was heavy on the rum; the second was heavy on the diet Coke.
Their choice in music was also quite interesting and consisted mostly of pop-rap. I'm pretty sure they played at least 3 Eminem songs during the hour we were there.
This bar also made me realize how much I've grown to appreciate smoking bans. Before we left, my head was spinning (and not from the alcohol) and my lungs were starting to seize up. Nicotine is an outdoor recreation. I'm officially convinced.
