I got a great deal on Priceline and was able to stay at this 4-star hotel for less than $100.  That said, there are some add-ons that you need to include, even if you do get a deal on Priceline.

Internet is $9.95/day.
The connection is pretty good, but could be slow at times.  I had trouble connecting to the server, but I called the Tech Help Hotline and they fixed the issue in a matter of minutes.  The manager sent up his business card, a free small bottle of single malt whiskey, and some chocolate to apologize for the inconvenience.  Classy.

Valet parking is $24/day.
If you call down for your car 5 minutes before you go downstairs, they will have the car waiting for you.  Very friendly, quick, and efficient.

The hotel is conveniently located near Vanderbilt University.  We had a quiet corner room on the 2nd floor.  The bed was excellent, as were the pillows.  The room was a little on the smaller side, but well furnished.  The shower could stand to be updated, but was clean and functional.

I'd say this hotel is somewhere between a Marriott and a JW Marriott in terms of amenities.  There is no pool, but that didn't bother me.

I would stay here again because the room was comfy and the service was EXCELLENT.  I can't say enough good things about the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.

Yeah, I'm bumping the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel up to four stars... SUPER comfy pillows on the bed, a Keurig coffee machine in my room, and nice smelling travel sized shampoos, etc. Helpful and friendly front desk/valet hotel staff and complimentary candy corns at check-in.

I just got back from spending the weekend of the 4th at the Loews Vanderbilt.  My husband and I decided to take a roadtrip and get out of town last-minute for fun.  But we didn't have arrangments for our dog so our options were limited when searching for dog-friendly hotels.  We found the Loews and quickly made a reservation.  I was hoping they would treat guests with dogs decently but wasn't sure what to expect.

I could not believe the service that my pet (as well as us!) received.  As soon as we checked in, a doggy welcome gift basket was sent to our room.  It was filled with dog treats and cookies, gourmet dog food, a food dish and welcome mat.  It was way over the top and beyond what I would have expected.

We valet parked the car for the weekend which concerned me becuase at other hotels, it seems to take a year to get your car any time you need it.  Not at Loews--our car was brought to us consistently in minutes, which really impressed me.  Every time we stopped in or out of the hotel, they were nice to us and asked us how our dog was doing in the hotel.

Late on the 4th of July, I needed to do something for work on a computer, but the concierge facility was closed.  They let me use the business center computer at no charge for over an hour.  It's this kind of service I really appreciate above any facilities.

I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it--especially to anyone traveling with pets!

I stayed here on my first ever visit to Nashville, and I can't say i was that impressed.

My first reaction based on the price i was shocked at how small the rooms are, and the hotel itself just is nothing to great. I'm not that hard to please I tend to stay at W hotels, or boutique hotels but I have also been in my share of less expensive hotels/motels across our fine country. My feeling is if you are going to spend the big bucks you better get what you pay for.. As for location if you want to be next to Vanderbilt you don't get much closer, if you want to be downtown and hit the strip well there are plenty of hotels down there and I would suggest looking into those.

Now the real reason i write this review: Be warned.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the front desk at this hotel asking for my credit card number while i was in my room and they knew my name. If this ever happens to you just tell them no and go to the front desk. I was caught off guard, the person who called said my card was not accepted I thought that was odd and at their request i went ahead and gave the card number again, they claimed it still did not work and wanted another card, so i gave them another card number. The second card number I gave was of a card that was new and never used before or since. The following day i got a call from my card company telling me i had about $10,000 worth of charges to my personal card, one charge from a domino's pizza in Nashville (i don't eat domino's) and the rest from different Internet sites. I then checked the other card, the one that I only used once at that hotel, I had an additional $8,000 worth of charges on that card - all from the same Internet sites as my personal card. I called the hotel to explain what happened, they were not very accommodating. Obviously my credit card company will take care of these charges, i just wanted to let the hotel know that they either had someone on their staff stealing card info or more likely someone on the staff was selling the guest info to someone - all they needed to give was name and room number since I'm the one who gave my card number. When i got through to someone at the hotel, this took days, they told me they had no record of my card not being accepted, no record of any of the staff calling me. The person who called knew my room number and name for sure, and with the kind of charges they made they would also need to have billing address- all info the hotel had, and the reason again i have no doubt it was this that caused the charges. 1. I never used that one card anywhere else. 2. the first charge was a local domino's, 3. the person who called me had my room number and name. 3, The hotel says they have no record of the front desk ever calling me. My only reason for calling the hotel to tell them this was so they knew there was a problem, and so this would not happen to others. You would think the hotel would have at least given me some kind of comp, or maybe just an apology - I got neither. I will not be staying here again and I will be more careful when "front desks employees call me"

I had a great stay, but that was because I was staying in an executive suite that I wasn't paying for. It was spacious, with two bathrooms, and had a kitchen tucked away on the end. We especially loved the soft bathrobes that were hanging in the closet.

Their rates are on the high side and they do charge you for extras like the internet. My room included access to the Concierge Lounge, where they serve a continental breakfast and evening hors d'ouvres. Breakfast was okay, but the hors d'ouvres were just greasy little sandwiches, some olives, and fried pickle slices.

Before I moved to Music City, I stayed in the Loews for a weekend.  (Lucky me, I know) It is probably one of the best hotels in town.  Conveniently located across the street from Vanderbilt, it is usually frequented by Vandy parents during game weekends and parent weekends.  CAUTION! Don't even try to book a room during Vanderbilt move in weekend or graduation.  Typically, the rooms are booked a year in advance.

When I stayed there (several years ago), they had offered some smoking rooms, however the laws have changed in Nashville, so they may not offer them anymore!

Obviously I ordered a Vanderbilt Sunday from room service, and obviously it was awesome!

I stayed here for a conference last year.  The lobby is very pretty and rooms were nice - the beds were super comfortable. Since I wasn't paying, I wasn't too concerned with the price, but I do think it's a bit much for what you get.

The conference facilities were nice, but I had a horrible meal in the restuarant (crappy, overpriced food and horrobel service). The workout room is pretty small and basic, and the hotel itself is kind of far from the main drag with most of the bars and resturants. If I come back to Nashville, I would look elsewhere for a place to stay.

Excellent service. Friendly staff. great location Right across street from Vanderbilt. The room was large. Had a comfortable king size bed.  The bar downstairs had live music.  Overall quite pleased.

Sometimes you judge a place based on how well they deal with an issue. I got to the hotel late (10PM), but wasn't worried as I had a guaranteed reservation. Of course they were overbooked and didn't have a room. I was "walked" (new industry term I learned) to the "brand new" Hotel Indigo (see my review on that on) 3 blocks away. The front desk was really apologetic, but asked "do you need a ride?" 10 pm. Not from Nashville. Do I need a ride??? I didn't answer.

Someone else in our party had been "walked" as well and they were given a rash of hell for this by our CEO. They comped both of our rooms at the Indigo, picked up dinner for 7 Thurs night, sent a nice gift basket to our rooms and issues 3-4 personal apologies. They recovered well.

The room was small and a little dated (especially after staying at the Indigo with 2 (two) flat screens in the room). The rest of the facilities (save the restaurant...don't go) were fine. They know how to host meetings well. Bartender downstairs fixed a pretty good martini (gin selection needs work).

1 star without the good recovery. 3 for handling it well and addressing it directly.

If this place wasn't a luxury hotel with fairly expensive rates I would have considered giving it a higher rating.  The hotel staff was very friendly, but after a very tiring day of of traveling (full of delays) we arrived at 3pm (the time of check-in) only to discover that they wouldn't have a room for us until 4:30pm.  Not to mention I had requested early check-in!  Our room was a bit on the small side with 2 full size beds, and the bathroom didn't have a fan, making the whole room foggy and hot and hard to get ready.  And internet was expensive ($10 per day). All that aside, the conference rooms were nice (aside from a time or two when our electronic equipment was not ready), the lobby is beautiful, and their in-house restaurant nice for lunch.
