Beautiful resort in the middle of the Vegas desert!

Stayed here two nights (mostly because we were traveling with a pet and they were pet friendly).

The rooms were well-appointed.   Not exactly the "luxury" I'd expected from the description on the website, but still very nice.  Very clean.  Bedding was good, soft,

Our room opened onto a small terrace with a view over gardens and a small lake.  Absolutely beautiful.  Very relaxing.

The staff was very friendly and quite accomodating.

We didn't dine here -- we went into Las Vegas both nights.   We did pick up breakfast in the little breakfast bar (kind of a Starbucks type place) and took it out on huge veranda which has several fountains and multiple levels.  Lots of cushioned chairs, tables with umbrellas,  even beds to lounge in.  Fabulously decadent!

Beware of:
1)   $22/day resort fee.   RIP OFF!!   It's a joke.
2)   $15/day  valet park.  Don 't do it.  Valet parking is literally one row away from self- park.  Save yourself $15.00/day.
3)   If you are drining into to Vegas to shop or dine (whatever), allow a minimum of 30 miniutes (more like 45 if it's in the evening, especially near rush hour).    Staff told us it was 15-20 minutes, but was actually 40-45 each night with traffic.

Value for money:  3/5.   Great  if you want true relaxation, peace and solitude and want to be away from the stress of "The Strip."

It's a bit of a hassle going back into Vegas to eat or go to shows, but really nice to come back to a quiet, relaxing hotel -- with no smoke, no noise, and no drunks.

They'd probably get a full 4 out of 5 if they dropped the ridiculous $22 a day resort fee, valet parking fee.   We had a fridge in our room but it didn't seem to work.  What's the point  then?

Pet friendly:   4 stars!!!

I'd have to stay again and see some of the other rooms to give a real objective opinion, but based on these two nights I could recommend  trying Loews for a get-away from the noise of the Strip especially if you have a pet with you.

Stayed here for the memorial day weekend.  First time in the Lake Las Vegas Area.....impressed.  The ultimate resort for the family.  If  you have Kids....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.  Rooms are spacious enough...Decor is modern.  Everything from the pool to the restaurants are kid friendly.  Believe me....nothing worse than going to a place and getting the STARES from other patrons regarding your kids.  Here is completely different.  So refreshing.  Staff was UBER Friendly and helpful....say comparable to the Halekulani in Oahu....

Negatives?  Not much other than $22 resort fees, $15 valet fees, oh yeah....for an emergency meal for the kids they charged $25 for a CUP of miso soup and side of rice from their 4-Diamond Restaurant Marssa...
................  Im not a math major, nor am I a cheapskate....  memo to Loews.....ARE  YOU F$CKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!??!

Stayed there for 4 nights and the place was worth the money, if you have kids.

I have a 3 and a 1 and my 3 year old had a blast at the pool.  The boat ride was fun too and relaxing.  The casino is a drive away, which is good because there were a lot of kids at the resort.

Again, I would recommend this for family not for anyone looking to gamble.  It's a drive to the strip, the place if for relaxing and enjoying the family time.

Would I come here if it was on my own expense? Definitely not. Don't get me wrong. This is a beautiful hotel, but when in Vegas, I prefer to be on the strip. The hotel is located in a secluded private village next door to The Ritz Carlton.

Rooms does not have a liquor bar but they do provide a fridge. I love their state of the art coffee brewing system which boils the water first before brewing the individual coffee/tea pods- which they were quite generous with. Big plasma LG tv. Plush robes. Comfortable beds.

If you want to gamble, the only place closest to you is the nearby resort which is also located within the village. The hotel has a van schedule that will pick up/drop off.

One of the country best golf courses is located here.

Two heated pools open year round.

The hotel has 4 restaurants with 24hr room service. Anything other than this is a drive away and no restaurants will deliver to this area.
But overall, this is a quiet place if you just want to relax.

A friend and I stayed here over New Years.  Loved it.  Totally dog friendly, beautiful rooms, great staff, lovely setting, deliciously comfortable beds, flat screen TVs, and a kick-ass coffee maker in the room.   There's no casino and it IS pretty remote, but I didn't mind that because it was so peaceful and relaxing.  For New Years, they put on a dandy fireworks display at midnight, so that was festive.
I've deducted a star for two reasons.  1) the Automated Express Checkout didn't work, and we were in a hurry, so that was a little irritating.  And 2) when we checked in, we asked for a garden level room, because we had dogs with us.  The desk clerk said that there weren't any garden level rooms, with that tone of voice that customer service people use when they think you're an idiot, but they don't want to show it.  So we were up on the 6th floor, which was kind of tough on my friend's little dog, who had a UTI and needed to wee constantly.  But what really tore it was that when we walked the dogs, we saw what looked like several rooms on the ground level with sliding doors that led outside. To me, that's garden level.  SO, either the desk clerk didn't know what "garden level" meant, or he meant that there weren't any available, or he inexplicably lied to us.  We didn't follow up on it, since we were only there for less than a day and a half.  Other than that, the staff and site were topnotch.

I've stayed here twice.  Once in the summer when it was still the hyatt and once in the winter.  I loved my stay here both times.  Summer time I was able to swim in the lake with my daughter and play in the sand which she loves to do.  The rooms were great we had the suite with two room one with the bed and the other a living room area.  Love just lounging in the room and in the main hall area.  The hotel is so relaxing.  Sitting inside or outside with a drink and a snack was the best.  By the way I love how the shower curtain is pushed out which gives you so much room in their.  I'm actually going to get one for my bathroom.
Love the place, no casino which was fine for me (family relaxing trip) beautiful views of the lake. Very Kid friendly.    Four Stars.

mega desert oasis resort......luxurious...clean....refreshing getaway resort with a view of the vegas strip....located about 17 miles from the strip....ultimate spa treatment....18 hole golf.....fishing...kayaks..boating..or even a lake mead cruise....pools and cabanas.....this is a change from my typical vegas strip business trip.....

the biggest surprise?....no casino...no gambling...no smell of smoke in the air....it's relaxation and serenitity in vegas....but....little disappointing for me....since...i'm fond of cards and wagers....

As a local in las vegas, I find that the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort is a dump. It bought out what used to be the Hyatt which was much better at running it and keeping it clean. I went there last weekend and it was dirty, with trash all over the property. Although, the resturant is okay and I've heard that the rooms are decent for the price.
