6 reviews for Loews Annapolis Hotel
Now that we got our brief marriage vowels taken care of and did dinner at the new in-laws with close family only. It's getting late and I'm getting tired I'm not good for driving too long at night when slightly tired cause I will get very sleepy and nod off, not good while driving. So from Rockville to Annapolis off to our mini-moon, full blown honeymoon will come in spring of the year in Sin City (Vegas baby). So off we go, about an hour drive for us nu-wife is keeping me attentive by talking and engaging me in conversation while I drive so we will arrive in good time and in one piece.
Late check-in they had me down for and no problem with that. Some places will charge you for doing that but they had no problem with it. I had called the day before to make sure. Every thing was set when we arrived the person at the front desk was very pleasant, helpful and very friendly. She was even able to upgrade my room at no extra cost upon arrival due to a cancellation and included two comps for breakfast buffet in the Breeze restaurant, nice. I've been here a few times before in there ball rooms for some past events and they have now done some remodeling, nice touches with new furniture and carpeting all around. Room was very nice clean everything in place I always check for things such as free soaps, body wash, shampoo, lotion etc. magazines of places to go in around the city, ice buckets and ice machines, however no soda machines that's a negative. Water bottles over priced Fiji water at $4 a bottle "use the faucet honey-bunny I'll get the ice." Big screen TV looks like a 37 or 42 inch good. Mini refrigerator that doesn't seem to be working hummmm plugged in no. Well I have nothing to put in there anyway so I let that slide. They have a nice complementary usage all in one coffee/tea maker with all that you need for that. 4 glasses for the ice bucket two more in the bath room with plenty of various size towels they even have 2 robes an umbrella and extra comforter in the closet along with iron board and iron. Everything you need except for a swimming pool. Oh well can't have it all. They do have spa services here but we didn't use so I can't comment on that. Very good for this level of 3 star hotel (hey we know it's not the 5 star Red Rock resort in Vegas) Good service from the front desk to the house keeping.
Next morning...... breakfast no not in bed we have some tourist stuff to do so down we go to the Breeze restaurant. I thought that it was going to be just some chintzy continental thing with a pastry and coffee from the description of the comps but boy was I wrong it was full blown buffet all you can consume: Bacon, sausages, french toast, hash browns, eggs, muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, cereal plenty of coffee, tea, juice everything all for $0 very nice, oh tip the waitress she was very prompt, friendly and service with a smile so all for $5 bucks. I have done audiovisual work for conferences and events in enough of these hotels to know it's the same food that they have for all hotels supplied by Sysco Foods so don't expect Emeril Lagasse to be in the kitchen making this gourmet styled especially just for you. The food was quite good, solid and filling. Besides, there was plenty of it.
Nice thing about this Loews is that it's only about a 15min walk from the water front and plenty of shopping and touristy things to do. The Marriott might be right at the water front but it's twice as much price wise with smaller rooms (pictures on the Internet dead giveaway).
Overall with the exception to $400 worth of smashed right rear tail light and jacked up trunk lid from some BaKA YaRo in the parking lot late night, I wish I had caught red handed the hit and running maggot but that's another story. Our stay at the hotel was very nice, pleasant, enjoyable, pricing for our stay very reasonable and check out was a breeze, so cheers to them. Only 4.5 out of 5 cause they could use some soda machines there for the guest so we don't have to pay $4 bucks for a can of Pepsi from their room service thing. Also lack of a pool but for that they would have to loose the center court area or the already too small parking lot. We would definitely stay here again.

Love this hotel and will definitely stay here when we travel to Annapolis. We chose the hotel because it was extremely pet-friendly and we weren't disappointed. The front desk provided a dog dish and other items and recommended a dog walker who turned out to be great.
The hotel is not right on the city dock but it's about a 10-12 minute walk down to the water. The location is great and the price is reasonable for the location.
The valet guys were awesome and after noticing we'd been waiting for a cab for a while, just put us on the hotel shuttle and directed the driver to take us where we were going. They did the same thing the next day when we had to go to the Marriott for a wedding. I'm not sure what the actual shuttle routes are and not sure whether you can customize like we did, but it was great and convenient.
Had crabcakes in the bar and they were nice bar food. The room service pizza was actually good. Buffet breakfast was mediocre but you expect that.
Will definitely stay at this Loews and other Loews hotels again.

Nicely away from downtown Annapolis (but with a free shuttle) this hotel lived up to previous reviews. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, nicely decorated and quiet. Valet parking was $22/day which I couldn't normally spring for but I was there over July 4th and much of the public street parking wasn't available) but each time I called down to the valet stand they had my car waiting within 5 minutes, often sooner. For what I paid, this was a real steal!
I didn't realize it was so pet friendly until I got there, normally this would be a problem (I have allergies) but other than seeing a few guests walking their dogs through the lobby, I didn't notice it at all (no smell or pet noise).
I would definitely stay here again, it was perfect for a quick weekend get away.
We had the opportunity to grab a bite at the "Weather Rail Lounge" inside the Loews Hotel.
It's a typical sports bar with fun memorabilia especially from the Naval Academy.
The food choices were what you would expect from a lounge and very delicious.
We started off with their amazing crab dip. It was sinfully good and cheesy. The BLT on panini was awesome. They even put an onion ring in the sandwich. Others in the party ordered burgers, wings and onion rings. Everyone enjoyed their food.
The margaritas hit the spot. We'll be back.

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. When our coffee maker didn't work the staff brought us a pot of freshly brewed coffee while they got us a new coffee maker. There was a 2-night stay minimum which sucked but it was the same deal at the other nearby hotels so at least the Loews was slightly less expensive.
The brunch was just so-so. I would skip it and head down the street to where all the restaurants are and eat somewhere else.

The Lowes was clean, comfortable and the staff was, for the most part, friendly and helpful. Our room was large and the amenities of which were of high quality and plentiful. We enjoyed the new-fangled coffee maker that made tea as well.
The last star is missing because the food was average. It was never bad, but I ate 4 or 5 meals here and none of them really shined. It is a shame too, because they everything else going for them.
Fortunately, the location is central and you could walk almost anywhere in downtown Annapolis from the here; a HUGE plus in my mind. Main St. has a plethora of establishments in which to eat and imbibe.
Auf.
