I stayed at the Lodge this past weekend and definitely enjoyed my visit. I was a little skeptical when I was told our room was on the porch level (as in basically off the parking lot, motel style), but after opening the door and taking a quick peek around the room, it was a stylish and comfortable spot the spend the weekend. We even ended up enjoying our location as it allowed us more privacy since we weren't constantly walking through the hotel lobby.

The location of the hotel is perfect and the different exits drop you out in different locations in Vail Village. While we happened to be visiting in the summer, the hotel is just steps away from the Vista Bahn, Vail's main  lift, and would be the ideal spot for winter travel. The staff was super helpful and professional throughout our entire stay.

One final piece of advice for those staying at the Lodge- use the pool/hot tubs closest to the spa. They are new and are far nicer than the pool/hot tubs closer to the garden.

Very centrally located. Comfortable rooms with balconies, nice down comforters and pillows, complementary robes, nice bathroom products  and a flat screen tv. The staff is very friendly and they even have a SUV that can drive you to places that are slighly out of walking distance.

The pool and hot tubs are very nice as is the spa area. The fitness center is one of the best I have seen in a hotel. They have a nice bar as well.

The one negative is that I found you could hear a lot of the hallway noise from the room, which is not so great when you are trying to sleep. The guests while I was here were pretty quiet, so it wasn't so bad, but I could see how it might get noise.

This place is SO cute! Stayed in one of the studio apartments! The room was great, only problem was that the owners decided to lock the stereo and my bf and I can back one night after the power went out for a min, to Johnny Cash BLASTING ring of fire! IT was quite funny, and once the hotel staff found some keys to the stereo...problem solved! Too cold to go swimming, but nice pool. In the middle of Vail so we could walk everywhere. The bf had knee surgery with Steadman, so being right in town was a plus! Want to go back!!!!!

We stayed here on a special deal through Vail Love (shhh... we only paid $140 a night!) and it was well worth the money. Not sure if I'd pay full price, but if you can get a deal it's worth it.

We had a studio room that walked out to the pool & hot tubs. I was very scared of the Murphy bed, but it was super comfy. Our room also had a wood burning fireplace complete with wood & starter sticks which were much appreciated.

I travel for work, so I know a nice hotel when I see one. This place is top of the line, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

I was going for the slope side luxury and pretty much got it. I especially appreciated the complementary robes and slippers to go with the outdoor pool and hot tubs. I would go back for a treat.

They'll valet park your car and check your equipment so that it is waiting for you slope side. Must have had a bit of Mary Jane brain on the day I was there. They had trouble keeping track of my luggage and skis. The TVs weren't working properly. I was nice an patient about it. That's the way I am. They were patient too.

Yelp ratings consider $60 a top-of-the-scale splurge. This sucker needs some serious recalibration.

Fist off, don't confuse the Lodge at Vail with the Lodge Tower, or the Sitzmark Lodge, or any of the other millions of area hotels with "lodge" in the name, because this boys and girls is the real deal, the one lodge you really want to stay at.  From the grand entryway, to the ballroom, to the two story rooms it's hotels such as this one which define luxury, and of course you'll be paying for that luxury.
