The lobster rolls are delicious but the portion leaves one yearning for more. The rolls are quite small compared to other lobster rolls. I believe the rolls are four/five inches in size. I always leave conflicted because good lobster rolls are difficult to find but paying $13/15 for a slider portion is quite steep. I actually would opt to pay more for a normal size lobster roll.

From the selection of rolls, i prefer the standard warm lobster and the garlic butter. How can one go wrong with clarified butter and/or garlic?

The interesting fact is that their non seafood items are good sellers. They offer a generous burger and cheesesteak.

The ambiance is a take out joint with counter space and a handful of tables. A Clam shack feel within a strip mall environment. Would I go out of my way to dine here...no. If I am in the area, I may venture in to grab a conflicted bite of lobster goodness.

      The people are very nice...

The "kids cove" mac and cheese is a rather large portion with quality products.(real cheese and pasta)

The "original lobster roll" was delicious .. Warm (overly) butter roll with GOOD fries and a small coleslaw. However for the amount charged I expected a little more- size wise-- it was smaller than the fork--(pictured) maybe its the location.

I was driving through the area with a friend on my recent visit to the New England area. I had a craving for some lobster and used Yelp to search for places as we drove though the area. I happened upon this little gem and the first photo I saw was the lobster cheese fries. I was sold.

It took a little backtracking to find the place but it was so worth it. I had the fries of course as well as a lobster roll which was amazing. I shared photos of my food with friends back in Arizona and everyone was jealous.

Distance makes it impossible for me to be a regular but I will make sure I come back next time I'm in the area.

Back in the days of bullshitting under the olive tree, Plato conceived that our material world consists of objects that are mere shadows of their sole perfect iteration. This is known as the Theory of Forms and it posits an alternate reality filled with the ideal versions of all that we see, smell and touch. In the Theory of Forms, a bed exists because somewhere out there exists a bed that fully embodies "bed-ness" -- or a lobster roll exists that fully embodies "lobster roll - ness."

Well, aren't we lucky! The Lobser Post's Connecticut style lobster roll rapidly approaches the Form of the Connecticut Style Lobster Roll. It's served hot with heaping piles of tasty lobster meat -- claws, tails and all -- in the perfect vehicle, a top-seam hot dog bun. A generous addition of butter and a light dusting of parsley pull the whole thing together. Lemon squeeze is optional..Simple, elegant and the peak of deliciousness!

I just have a few relatively minor demerits:
      1) My fries were a little too crispy. In less polite terms, they were overcooked.
      2) I give the staff serious kudos for their efforts to transform a Fairfield strip mail into something more worthwhile. The decor has an appropriately picnic table vibe, and there's a counter for comfortable solo dining. But the ambiance is still pretty bleh.
      3) They're at the upper end of their price bracket... in a Fairfield strip mall.
      4) Can't they serve CT lobster?

Serious yum. I'll be back soon for the garlic lobster roll and potato chips.

The lobster is so fresh and delicious! There's a variety of lobster rolls but I come here once a week for the BLT. Yup- BACON, lettuce, and tomatoes on a lobster roll. And did I mention BACON?!? It also comes with this slaw that is just yummy!

The lobster bisque. Oh. Em. Gee. Amazing.

There are some other menu option. Theres the lobster mac and cheese and the crab cakes just to name a few.

The food is great but the people and vibe are even better. Love!

      Wow! Delicious!

Had our first meal at Lobster Post after a friend gave a raving review. Make sure you are aware that this is not a sitdown restaurant but more of a take out place. They do have a small amount of seating, and we did eat inside with our kids. Probably the widest selection of lobster dishes I have ever seen. Everything from lobster rolls and lobster wraps to full-blown lobster dinner. Although their specialty is clearly Lobster, they have a wide variety of other kinds of seafood. In fact, both my wife and I opted for non-Lobster main courses. I had steamed mussels and she had fish tacos, both of which were absolutely delicious. We also split an order of lobster fries which were out of this world. Our kids had organic hotdogs and Panko crusted fish sticks. Also delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend this place if you love lobster and seafood.

The Lobster Post is a breath of fresh air into the take-away scene in Fairfield. While I've eat-in there as much as I've ordered take-away, each time the food and service meets the holy grail of restaurants: consistent. In the case of the Lobster Post, consistently good.

Each time I think I'm going to sample something else on the menu and I return to the ol'fashioned lobster roll with butter. I've strayed from my favorite, enjoying a dalliance with fish tacos, but I return to the lobster roll as soon as I can.

Although I've waited longer than I've liked, the food is prepared to order and I wouldn't want it any other way.

      Keep up the good work!

I came here because of a groupon. We ordered the original lobster roll. It came with French fries and coleslaw. The lobster roll was excellent. The lobster was succulent and well flavored. The bun was warm and soft. Even the butter was flavored. The French fries were crispy and delicious. I am definitely coming back to try the lobster Mac and cheese on the menu.

Ok so 4 stars for the lobster rolls they were on point and the lobster mac and cheese was excellent. But unfortunately it was the service that sucked. The guy in the front needs a personality. Might go back not sure yet.
