Review Highlights
HAVE YOU NOT BEEN TO LITTLE SIAM? GO. To Little Siam. If you're in the Valley. Just make sure you're effing hungry.
Get any of the curries, especially the yellow. It's a great place for take-out. But, they also give wonderful service inside. It's just a small place, in an industrial part of town, and it's a great value. Not to be missed!!
"Do they serve egg rolls? I want eggrolls."
"Mmm no i want soup? wonton?"
My friend says "okay youre asking for the wrong asian food"
Woopsie! But hey spring rolls can do and hey they serve wonton soup! Yay!
I've also never tried any curry plate, taste, paste, dish, of any sort so it was my first time tasting it and mm it was ...tasty.
I think out of the whole menu we left out 3 dishes, literally. There was so much of each menu item staring at my face with their exotic smells and shapes, i didnt know where to start or how to finish. Lucky for my friend Ciara, she had food to manage for a week with the leftovers.
Its a cute small to go or dine in place, its funny actually; i always pass by oxnard street and assume its all factorized car dealerships or abandoned looking buildings and yet here's little Siam Thai cuisine in its yellow home shaped location. CUTE!
If you want or are a fellow No Ho, Van Nuys thai craver or addict, come to this place and it will knock your asian taste buds out! Mmmhm!
BEST Thai cuisine ever. Authentic tasty food, friendly staff, and the spicy is spicy.
I try not to fill up on Thai Iced Teas so I can then stuff my face with Masaman Curry, Pad Kee Mow and Spicy Basil. Pineapple Curry is another fav.
Great Family Run Restaurant, great Looking and Great Tasting Dishes for a very reasonable price. Would Definitely Recommend!
Every dish I've tasted there is delicious, the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I love the panang curry, pad thai noodles, and siam cabin rice (YUM).
gem of a restaurant in the middle of an industrial part of town. gracious service, delicious food, reasonable prices. everything was super fresh. will become a regular.
This is the best Thai I've found so far in the Valley. I can not stand that Krua place. Little Siam's Phad Kee Mao with beef is tasty tasty. It's hard to find simple and delicious Mee Krob and they have the best. They use a great tea mix for their Thai Iced Tea. Prices are great and you get sizeable portions. Their dinner special is awesome; you get an egg roll, two chicken wontons, soup or salad, rice and your choice of curry or noodle entree (dang near full size if ordered on its own) - all for like 7 bucks. The waitresses are always super friendly and the cooks in back are always laughing. The only complaint I have is that there is no papaya salad. :(
I went here on the recommendation of my boss, otherwise I'd have no idea it was there. In other words, it's the best food I think I've ever had while surrounded by body shops and other light industrial facilities.
It was a Monday evening, and there were only a few other people there, so the service was quick and attentive. We tried the spring rolls, the wonton soup, and the pad see yew, all of which were very good. Everything tastes great, isn't too heavy, and the portions are just the right size.
Recommended for anyone looking for tasty thai food in the Valley. (It also seems like they could use the business, so do your part to support small family-owned restaurants.)
Thanks fellow Yelpers! You have once again steered me in the right direction. BEST Panang Curry I've ever had. Delicious vegetable egg rolls. Great Pad See Ew! This is by far the best Thai food I've had in the valley. We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't a single soul there. We sat out on the patio to enjoy the mild L.A. winter. Service was good, food was extremely delicious and the restaurant was clean and nice inside. I highly recommend Little Siam to anyone searching for good Thai food in the valley.
This a very nice family run small restaurant that makes very good grub.
The lunch special is a good deal- Main dish, soup/salad (w/peanut dressing), and fried/steamed rice for $5.95
The Pad Kee Mow and Ginger Chicken are both very good. The Kung Pao wasn't that spicy and the fried rice is just so-so.
Unless you have time to kill, I would suggest calling in for take out. That goes for delivery as well. I was once told it was a 30 min wait (compared to 10min for pick up) even though I worked across the street.
But all in all, a nice place with good food at a good price.
I recommend getting this food to go rather than eating in. The service at the restaurant is really slow. The food is good. I really like the Chicken with Cashews and the Fried Wontons. The prices are reasonable. They have a lunch special for $5.95 that includes a main dish, steamed or fried rice, Tofu soup or salad with peanut dressing. It's a lot of food.
Update as of 1/22/07:
I am loving this place! You must absolutely try the Pad Thai which is my new food addiction. Also, the Beef Salad is a must try!
Great Pad Thai, not many Thai places pull that off as well as they do. And the price is right up my alley. Havent been here in awhile, I know it felt kind of crowded when I ate in, but I'll have to try getting it to go next time.
Great to have it delivered but nice place to eat at as well.
Love the wonton soup, spicy fried rice, pad kee mow & masaman curry. Reminds me of home cooked food delivered to my door.
tiny little place in an odd location. service is good, food is good, portions are large. we had red curry tofu (delish!), spare ribs (eh), and a noodle dish that i dont remember the name of.
the place is teeny and old looking, there was a jcpenny branded tv bolted to the ceiling above my husbands head which made me nervous--but the food was pretty darn yum.
