8 reviews for Little Red Bistro
On my first visit to Seattle for a dance workshop, my friends and I went to the Little Red Bistro for lunch. The menu was not extensive, but the choices all looked delicious. In the end, my friend and I split a chevre and mascarpone sandwich with roasted red peppers and sun-dried tomatoes. It was one of the top three sandwiches I've ever eaten. We also shared a hummus plate- the hummus is made in the restaurant, and it shows. I loved them.
Everyone was happy with their food, and we settled in to the cozy and art-strewn atmosphere to have conversations about their day thus far. Some of us got up to put on some music and dance. The owner came over and talked to us to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves- we assured him we were, and we'd be back soon. (In fact, we went back the very next day!)
This is a great place for anyone looking to enjoy a warm atmosphere with great food. There are vegetarian and carnivorous options, and they are both fantastic.
You won't find a place in Seattle that is more beautiful and equally dedicated to tasty, reasonably priced food AND beauty, in the form of paintings, live music performances, and poetry readings. The decor is classy yet warm and inviting.
The service is fast, friendly, and excellent. The chili is consistently good, and other soups and dishes are excellent as well. I recently enjoyed butternut squash soup and Russian black tea. There is a bar, beer and wine, and espresso drinks. For dessert, a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce is, well, "deeply satisfying."
The Bistro has a great combination of ambiance and food making it a perfect place to get your morning coffee, bring visitors, or meet up with friends in the Denny/Queen Anne/South Lake Union area. It's open from 7 am to 2 am, and on-street parking is easy to find. There's not another place like it.
I love hanging out at the Little Red Bistro. It has a friendly atmosphere, and I love the artistic offerings, from art books on the tables, to the resident painter sketching in a corner, to music nights with great Brazilian Choro, jazz, or folk ensembles which are all free.
The staff is attentive, friendly, and I feel truly invested in my having a good experience. I always feel well taken care of.
I think the Little Red Bistro stands out in it's focus on community, and in creating a stimulating and enriching environment for it's guests. It's not just about food and drink, it's about art and community as well. I highly recommend it.
I had my birthday party here last night, and I couldn't have been happier. Great people, beautiful space, great food, and great drinks. I got to play my own music, and all of my friends raved about how amazing the space was. Would recommend to anyone!
I have been to Little Red Bistro several times now. I was there most recently on Friday, September 25, 2009. My daughter and I stopped there to grab a light dinner before heading to the ballet. Noel was wonderfully helpful in recommending some selections for us. We tried the Edamame Hummus, Polenta with a red sauce and fresh peas, tomato parmesan soup and a salami and provolone panini. We each ordered granitas as well.
The food was all delicious, fresh, fast and unique. We LOVED the edamame hummus and have already told several people about it. The polenta was quite good, and the soup was a great take on what is sometimes considered an ordinary classic.
One thing I love about the bistro is that it seems there is always something going on. While we were there, some musicians came in to set up equipment for what I believe was a performance starting soon. I regretted we had other plans and couldn't stay to enjoy it but we'll be back soon for the atmosphere, convenience (easy parking! 3 min. from Seattle Center), friendly and fast food, and delicious offerings that change daily!
Well, this place is getting better. The food choices have expanded, and all the food has gotten better as well.
The soups are really good, and I'm told made there from scratch.
It's a fun place, with lots of interesting things going on. Good music, and I'm writing this because last night was "Art Night". They had a man and a woman posing for a number of artists that just show up and draw or paint.
goodsexyfun.
Fun scene!
I recommend.

This new Bistro in the South Lake Union neighborhood is a gem. The decor is stylish yet welcoming and there is live music every Tuesday (jazz) and Thursday (folk/brazilian) night with no cover. A great place to hang out with friends after work!
The Little Red Bistro offers a little bit of everything. With breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, including tasty panini sandwiches, frequent live entertainment, and full coffee and bar service. The menu is constantly evolving, as this is a new restaurant, and local musicians, including blues, acoustic, and jazz performers, are frequently performing here. Do NOT miss out on the edamame hummus. It is amazing.
