"Great sandwich! Had the roast beef and jalapeno jack on crunchy sourdough roll and seriously, I have no complaints. Huge sando, great…" read more »
Went to this market to see if they had any spices that I could use for some homemade koobideh, but I had a little communication problem with the clerk. He told me it would be 15 minutes, which confused me. After about 10 minutes, my wife and I started wondering if they were actually prepping meat with spices so we could take it home or if they were actually cooking some up. When the clerk emerged from the back room with a styrofoam container, it confirmed that we had mistakenly ordered a precooked meal...woops!
When I opened the container, I saw some beautiful spiced meat sitting on top of some flatbread. It smelled awesome. We couldn't eat it right away because we had just finished off breakfast at Cabrillo Park Cafe, so the aromas lingered in the car and drove us nuts as we made our way home.
We ended up eating it for dinner, and it was excellent, so our miscommunication worked in our favor. But I still need to find the spices so I can make my own koobideh at home.
