As far as Indian food in Denver goes, India's (I should review separately since it's a totally different place) and the Little India mini-chain are my favorites.  But if you live in central Denver, the Little India's on Downing is great if only because they have the same menu as the other 2 locations but it's never crowded.  Even on the weekend evenings you can get right in.  I admit at first the chefs here and the location on 6th were apparently out of sync enough we'd go to the other one anyway, but now they're consistent enough that it doesn't matter.

That's especially true because on Downing they have a heated patio or if you want to sit inside they have this awesome decor and ambiance that looks like something out of a Bollywood soap opera.

If that special someone is annoyed with you, bring her here, order lots of girly drinks, talk about your feelings, then go hug it out and make some babies.  Or at least get some practice.  The wonderful food and atmosphere here can only help ease your troubles...

The first Indian food I'd ever had in Denver was at the 6th Ave location of Little Indian.  I think I was so happy to have finally found a real Indian restaurant in Colorado that I became a loyal patron of that location despite the hardships of getting there.
We decided that we'd give the Downing location a go and I am so glad we did!  The parking, the food and the wait staff were all wonderful.  I highly recommend the Biryani.  It's a lot of food for the price.

Darn it!  Now I'm craving Indian food.

We've already discussed the pros and cons of their 6th Ave and Champa locations. But we mustn't forget the newest location for the hit-and-miss Little India mini-empire.

The first couple of times I ate at this location, I was really disappointed. Compared to the downtown location, the food seemed bland and uninspired. The samosas were just potatoes covered in dough, not the flavor-packed delicacies I had grown to expect.

But now it's a totally different story --  I guess they swap chefs among the locations, because now the food at this location is the best!

The Chicken Tikka Korma bolsters your faith in the world: If we can create something this good, then surely we can't be all bad! There's hope for our species!!!

So, until the food mysteriously changes again, this is my default source of Indian food.
